Barnes has to play for a side that presses high, and looks to win the ball back and counter. He is devastating on the break and requires the momentum of the game to be in his favour. He is never going to suit a team that likes to build the play and dominate possession. His skillset is very particular and I don’t think suits Newcastles style of play. Allegedly Forest want him, which would suit his game more. I’d take him back in a heart beat, he is exactly what we need right now, if I was offered Barnes or KDH, I’d take Barnes all day long.

He appears to have the physical qualities we need, in terms of pace and strength. With players like him it comes down to how coachable they are. If Ruud can instil some discipline into him, he could prove to be a decent buy. Cheap and fairly low risk, even better if he works out to be alright.

If this has happened, what was the point in building this training ground to develop talent if they’re okay to just get poached by bigger teams for a pittance? And how does that help PSR? I’d be bringing that up as an issue for sure, the PL are essentially forcing teams to sell their best young talent to survive, and now they can be poached for nothing? Where’s the logic and fairness in that?

I don’t believe that it’s been agreed for him to go to city. He wouldn’t be present on social media as much as he is or be in the 21’s regularly surely? And there would be more noise about it…..

It can’t possibly be a “massive breach” anyway, we’ve lost a lot of big earners and have gained a promotion and league title along the way. It will be a close breach if anything at all. The club saying they’re confident tells me they’ve had a professional (maybe one of De Marco’s team) look over the accounts to ensure we are in line…. And if the PL want to challenge our evidence we’ve already got the appeal ready.
