Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November

Hume, Howard and Kisnorbo alone had more passion than this entire squad, with JJ the possible exception (who isn't even our player). I'd rather watch them. -

Seagrave might not even be that big an asset to flog in the event of a purchase anyway. It's shiny, but it's in a shite, relatively inaccessible part of the county that's away from most of the county's main transport arteries (M1, M69, A50). It's not exactly easy to show off if you're the owner, even if they fly into EMA there's a half-hour (on a good day) trek through country lanes or the Nottingham ring road to reach it. And that's before even mentioning the death trap of a junction it's accessed from - I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a member of staff or the playing squad involved in a smash there eventually. It's no more accessible than Belvoir Drive is, the only difference is it's remote enough to shield the match-side staff from scrutiny. I doubt anybody coming in would view that as a reasonable expense given it's had zero benefit either on the pitch or in terms of non-football income. On the latter point, I'm making an assumption, but besides pre-season / academy games is there anything whatsoever at Seagrave that forms a revenue stream for the club? Stuff like that daft Abdul documentary always happens at the ground - because, surprise surprise, people can't or won't drive to a field near Sileby for those sorts of things. Which is the point I guess. It's a bubble away from the fanbase where they don't have to hear hurty words or face dissent. As evidenced by the fact that, despite all the talk, we've yet to see a single fan show up to protest or unfurl the much-vaunted Rudkin Out banner in the bush opposite. People can't even be arsed to do it at the ground, they aren't going to drive there to do it. Granted, maybe someone coming in with at least three braincells dedicated to business acumen could find a way to generate some cash from the site without selling it, but as it stands it's just a white elephant that A) clearly doesn't attract the top talent it was claimed to, B) has delivered zero positives on the pitch and C) is in a shite, out of the way location that has already caused friction with certain players (Harry's refusal to take 40 Winks?) The only potential buyers that would appeal to would be similar shady characters who would prefer the unwashed masses know nothing about them or the way they run things.

This sounds like someone asked ChatGPT to generate a player that would get the fanbase back on-side based purely on their name. Berner, Heskey and Christian in a blender? GERRIMIN

We are the Neville Chamberlain of football. -
If we want to stay vocal once we're in, I'd be down for singing songs for players from past years who gave a shit instead of the current lot. Vardy, Morgan, Wasilewski, Drinkwater, Nugent, Schmeichel, Cambiasso etc. Anybody fancy it?
-
25-27, so East Stand rather than Kop but we're in SK1 in the corner. I'd say on average takes me 10-15 mins to get in most games. Can't remember the last time I was there in time for WYS and I'm usually showing up at least 10 before kickoff. Portsmouth was my last game and I got in 5 minutes in, was a 15 min queue.
-
Probably needs to be 15-20 mins to be noticeable - our garbage turnstiles and digital tickets mean the ground is usually half-empty at kickoff anyway.

Protest at the Boro game. Mass walk out?

Yeah, it was that atrocious showing in the FA Cup vs. F*rest that did it for me. Made it painfully obvious that the players we had either didn't have the right attitude, had a paper-thin mentality, or both. Nothing has changed since, if anything it's gotten worse as we've lost Vardy, KDH, Albrighton and others. Anybody trying to claim there's any leadership or accountability in this squad is talking out of their arse. They should all be ashamed of themselves, but they don't give a shit, they're paid a royal wage and probably believe a "better" club will come calling. I'm on night shifts at the minute and slept through the first half today, but did wake up to score updates from family members daft enough to watch the whole thing. I caught the last 20 minutes as I was at non-league and it was on in the clubhouse before kickoff. I didn't want to watch it, I was there for a distraction but it's becoming more obvious with every passing day that nah, they're my first team now, the twats on the telly don't represent me. My interest in Leicester City is at rock bottom - and yes, I saw more graft and passion from the part timers I went to watch today than anything our pathetic rabble served up. Lost 1-0 but gave it a go - which is all I ask for from my football team. We've not had that from LCFC for ten years now. It's honestly just the family / friends connection and chatting shit with you lot on here that keep me hanging on to this club right now.
-
Even my Dad who has been firmly in the happy clapper camp for the past few years has turned. It is happening, gradually. There will come a tipping point before long where it's the KPFC sycophants who are laughed out of the room, not those rightly calling a spade a spade. Thousands of empty seats today, anger amongst a large chunk of those there, and a chairman gone AWOL. Sub-20k attendance and League one, here we come. Failure at every level has ripped the heart and soul out of our club.

Leicester 0-2 Blackburn POST MATCH THREAD
OntarioFox replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
Don't even care at this point, it's still the same tosser players paid by the same tosser owner, scouted for the same tosser board. Can we just declare administration like Sheff Weds and force the club into new hands? I'd take a year or two in League One with the kids right now if that's what it takes. -
No, just one in a long line of shite signings by our club for the 'Vardy succession'. About the only one you can make an argument for in the past ten years was Kramaric, who has gone on to be solid.
-
Sheff Utd win and the gap is 5 points. Two weeks ago it was ten. Points deduction and we're f**ked. We're in relegation form even without it. Despise this club right now.

Lovely day for non league

Leicester vs Blackburn (H) 1/11/2025

Just shows how wank our options really are. Didn't realise Evans and Page were away, because there's absolutely zero excuse for them not at least making the bench once they're both back. The thought of this game probably seeing both of Soumare and Skipp get game time makes me want to vomit. This one's very much on Rudkin today, as he'll be making the final call on whether youth players go elsewhere (so is also the reason Aluko was wasted on the U21s yesterday).
