  1. Christ, I didn't even know he'd been the manager for that franchise rabble. As if I didn't want him at the club already, being involved with the fakes is a black mark against the judgement of any manager.
  2. My ick for Rodgers and Celtic outweighs my love for Kasper and Schlupp, so a good day on merit.
  3. I'm glad Sheff Utd didn't get promotion on the basis that them being there makes it harder for us next season than Sunderland being there. Honestly think we need bringing back down to earth a bit and to stay down if we're going to manage the wholesale restructure we need. Going straight back up as a yo-yo club will just prolong the rot, and the global exposure of the premier League will more than likely lead to KP dragging their heels on boardroom changes (or potentially selling up). Messed up that I have to think about my club in that way, but that's what the past 5 years of regression has brought us to. We need a baptism of fire.
  4. can he play centre back
  5. Was in Chester today and it was heaving with Man Utd fans there talking like they'd already won it. I know it's historically a big area for them but still, they've been conspicuously absent before all coming out of the woodwork tonight. Hope you're all having a fun evening, you absolute wombles.
  6. So we're all in agreement that Man Utd. are the official banter club now? Kind of disappointed we can't get Big Ange on the rebound after the sacking now,
  7. Mental gymnastics going on in my friends and family WhatsApp chat, trying to convince themselves it would be a better appointment than it seems on paper. No, no, no. No! I hope everyone at Bournemouth makes it abundantly clear that we don't want Brussel within 30 miles of our club (or whatever the total distance is to Coventry). uggggghhhh
  8. They should look local and get someone from the British Asian community, it would be good optics. I nominate the Belgrave FC youth coach, Saktha Bhorde.
  9. They still have these in Scotland, he's a perfect fit
  10. We're more likely to get Bonnie Blue down the KP, on accounts of the frequency with which the fanbase are being asked to bend over and think of England.
  11. Honestly the one choice I'd rather keep RVN over. Turned a few heads on the train when I opened the article and loudly told my phone to FOAD.
  12. We've been walking a tightrope for years now - the way we wormed out of it at the start of this season, as funny as it was for identifying how badly written the "rules" were, was also incredibly pathetic and slimy. We were guilty as sin, let's be real - we got off on a technicality. I'm with @StanSP - we need to finally have some punishment dished out, because it's the only way the cartel in our boardroom might actually own up to their chronic failures that have led our club to this situation. Goes all the way back to the 2016-17 season in truth, but I could rattle off an essay's worth of reasons we're financially stuffed. Slimani. Musa. Adrien Silva's 14 seconds. Danny Ward. Ryan Bennett. Vestergaard. Bertrand. Daka. Faes. Souttar. Tete. Letting Rodgers cling on until it was far too late. Top six wages for a squad relegated to the championship. A half-finished rebuild under Enzo. Ripping up the blueprint for a squad conditioned to play possession football going all the way back to Puel. Cooper. BDCR. Ayew. Skipp for £20 million. RVN. A second relegation through cowardice and a piss-poor squad. There are of course two things that affected us more than most - the helicopter disaster, and COVID. The former was one of our darkest days, but more than anything thrust Top into a position of power where he has proceeded to show zero backbone and entrust the club's operation to slimeballs who couldn't run a bath. The latter affected King Power in an outsize way as far as our external investment goes, but let's be real - all it did was expose what a house of cards our club's financial structure actually is. We were banking on a "big sale" every year to offset our insane wage structure, and eventually we entrusted finding those gems to the aforementioned morons. Tielemans going on a free was the light breeze which brought the whole thing tumbling down, in hindsight, and we couldn't recoup it with Maddison's sale as we were relegated through our own idiocy and had our pants down in the market. Said it multiple times. I hate this club at this moment in time, and have done for some time in truth. Now Vardy is gone, there is nobody to hide behind. The squad is a hollow mess, we're staring down the barrel of the league authorities finally catching up with us, and we have no direction or leaders to arrest what's looking like certain decline. Well done Top, well done Jon, well done Susan, well done Martyn, you're all culpable and should all pack your bags.
  13. Reading the first page of this thread, when our club should have been in a relatively healthy position to continue challenging for Europe, is one of the most depressing things I've seen on this site, and it has some serious competition. Even back then plenty were calling out his pretty atrocious record at both Everton and Southampton. He's proven to be just as bad here, if not worse considering what he started with and where we are now. Him and Rudkin are two cheeks of the same arse as far as the day-to-day is concerned. Whoever was responsible for hiring him needs banishing to North Sentinel Island.
  14. Amazed they didn't try to put it behind a £10 paywall to be honest
  15. Oh I can hear the Rudkin Out and Sack The Board chants, nice. Nobody's legacy to hide behind now.
  16. right, ten minutes of sack the board to finish off now yeah?
  17. Get in Kasey! Happy for him, been good the past few games. He gets a top flight goal.
  18. Ayew owns Ipswich
  19. yeah i'm a mess
  20. Not actually sure which channel I'm even watching, but they're cutting through the emotion and talking a lot about how much of a mess the club is in, and the unrest with the hierarchy. Happy to hear it.
  21. cheeky little hate watch before the goodbye parade
  22. Well with no Vardy to distract us next week at Bournemouth, I hope we can give them both barrels.
