  1. If and it’s a big if, he refreshes the squad, brings in a mixture of young talent and a bit of leadership and experience, along with a clearly defined style and some basic standards he might convince me. He really needs this to work as much as we do, else he ain’t getting another job. My concern is his stubbornness and the fitness of the players who have often seemed way off the levels fitness wise the last few years.
  2. Tbf it isn’t any of the players on stupid contracts fault, if someone offers more pay you take it. The issue here is that Jon Rudkin is a prize twat of the highest order, and still in place making football decisions.
  3. I can see Martin convincing him of the project, Enzo style but I guess time will tell. Id rather him and all the other dead wood be chopped, I just get the feeling the club are doubling down on their decisions with no consideration of if it doesn't work.
  4. If he serves up something decent there will be no problem. There is nothing fickle about not wanting to watch uninspiring, directionless shite, which has been served up by the last 3/4 managers.
  5. I agree to a point. I will go initially with an open mind as I did with Marti, I will expect to see some kind of cohesive idea/plan/tactics, which there wasn't last year at any point. I personally don't get on the players backs during the game. Obviously people can react how they see fit. If they are passing it across the backline and a pass goes astray due to an opposition press then its dumb tactics, inviting pressure and high risk in dangerous areas, its unnecessary, I honestly don't get it. That said if its garbage, slow and ponderous, im certainly not going to be jumping up and down and clapping, it just doesnt fit. I honestly think the fans have been very patient with the absolute shit served up by the club over the past 2 seasons. Its very hard to back nothing, no effort from players, bad decisions from the club, poor management. I hope Martin has something to prove, although I worry he wont care as long as he is true to his 'philosophy' much like Rudkin chases the same 'philosophy'
  6. Yeah we will be persisting with the methodology of a defender who can pass is better than a defender who can defend as per the last 3 years, as obviously its very successful.
  7. I think the club are going all or bust this year, I dont think they care who we can or cant afford, they will find some way of increasing the revenue to mean they can keep who they want to. Probably a few sales.
  8. What concerns me is he thinks energy has to come from the 'fans' no, just ****ing no. If you want energy to come from the fans then give us something exciting to watch, it we are watching the team pass it back to the keeper from a corner, or Janick standing still, rightly there aint going to be any 'energy'
  9. He wasn’t a lot worse, it’s also difficult to turn around a sinking ship than it is to steer a ship out of the docks fully a float. Neither should have been here really, I never wanted Rowett but given our position, it’s all we could get. Rowett failed in his task but a lot of the damage was done, the board dithered. If we had a few more games we may have sneaked it.
  10. It’s irrelevant he was taking us there at a fast pace. Honestly I don’t know how anyone can sit a watch the insipid shit that his teams served up and say that he deserved more time and wouldn’t have taken us down, the trend was downward, the guy had no plan a let alone a plan b, he would not have turned that around. We were bottom of every single key metric under him it was a matter of time, strangely we did use every bit of luck we had in his games. At best he deserved to win 3 games, 2 of those against Derby the rest we were lucky. We had the worst defensive days, worst distance covered, worst press, most goals against from set pieces, most possession conceded in dangerous areas. He was a ****ing awful clown who should have never got the job. He took us down.
  11. Cifuentes got us relegated pure and simple, his team, playing his way, his coaches, he had 2/3rds of the season to make sure we were well away from the relegation zone beating the likes of Wrexham, Blackburn and Pompey at home. However, he did not because he was a useless shit ****. Neither manager should have ever been at this club. Comparing a bloke brought in to turn around a team that couldn’t play pass or defend for shit, to a blokes coaching that led us there is wild. Then using an Oxford team that is punching above its weight ( he saved last year) as a double relegation. Especially when it’s claimed it’s not everyone’s favourite cheeky Spanishmans fault we were relegated here but is Rowetts fault at a club he was sacked from several games before Cifuentes!! Bizarre!
  12. Hopefully he comes and calls the ****s out now
  13. Rudkin comes to the last shit name on the post it note Absolutely useless ****
  14. He is clearly attached to some part of the Top and Rudkin love triangle
  15. Why do these incessant willy pullers persist with rejecting everything that made this club great and embracing everything that made this club shite. Utter ****ing halfwits, I absolutely hate the ****s. Rudkin is a twat.
  16. I think he probably was worse on the basis he had 2/3rds of the season, certainly as bad, coming in half way through a shit job and turning it around is more difficult than start a fresh season. Both should not have ever been here. We got 3 wins in August (Shef Wed lucky against 10 men lucky at Charlton who were all over us), 0 Sept (draw at home to a poor Wrexham), 1 Oct (random 3-1 win at Swansea followed by a 1-1 Vs Pompey and loss to Blackburn, 2 Lucky wins in November (1 with a Daka brace, a 1-1 draw vs 10 man Boro and last minute James goal we didn't deserve vs Norwich away, who were bottom and winless at home) , December (3) we somehow beat Derby 2 times and Ipswich once (probably the only decent performances under him), January (1) Played off the park by West Brom Fatawu worldy at the end saved us). In the meantime Southampton, Sheffield United (twice) and the mighty QPR absolutely spanked us embarrassingly. So really bar the start of the season and Derby being shit, we were probably averaging 1 win a month under that clueless clown and even that was pure class from one player as opposed to a coherent team and tactical plan.
  17. Sadly it doesn't get better until these idiots leave. So I suppose if its a complete failure it will speed that process up.
  18. What proof? He has done **** all ever in his whole history of management? He a useless twat, I cant believe people still stand up for the guy, I cant believe that anyone actually sat down there and watched a game last season and thought yeah hes doing a good job here, because he wasn't. The players were unfit and couldn't defend for shit, the games we won bar 2/3 were the result of a Fatawu or James worldy. What sent us down was probably James being out and Fatawu going off the boil. There is absoluely nothing so suggest that twat keeps us up in any way shape or form given the trend of results, and the performances that were absolutely stinking the place out. I reckon after Oxford if we kept him we would not have won another game at all, probably getting a few 4-0 spankings along the way.
  19. Most of the games won were at the start of the season before his absolute wank tactics and training took further effect, the decline was clear. We had absolutely no tactics at all as a team, nothing. Apart from Derby and Ipswich games we honestly did not deserve to pick up another point, we won by a worldy from Fatawu or James. I watched every tragically disgusting performance, we were never going to turn it around under him actually think if the blithering idiots running the club had sacked him in December when they should, we probably stay up, even if they hadn't dithered after sacking the useless twat we may have. Rowett isn't a manager we should have ever had here, but some of the performances were better, and bar Daka being a useless twat, we probably win a couple more where we kept clean sheets.
  20. It’s very different to take on a team that has its morale destroyed, confidence shot, fitness blown and a basic inability to keep a clean sheet, that was all Cifuentes doing, he was a terrible terrible manager, a lot of the wins came early season before he had further embedded his shit tactics, I have no doubt he takes us down, if he stayed we would not have won another game. Rowett or Cifuentes should never have been manager at this club, but the relegation is the fault of the one who spent the most time with this squad. It’s like comparing a steaming shit with a turd.
  21. The club and Top and his lord Rudkin have doubled down on stupid, what’s the point of the Technical Director if we are still doing this sideways and backwards shit. This goes one of 2 ways, either Martin is fired up to restore his own career, builds a young squad and gets us playing ok or he absolutely shits the bed and we end up bottom of league 1.
  22. Its not valuable at current, but to a well run business it could be a massive opportunity. People literally pay for accounts with that much exposure. If the club had any competent senior business professionals working within it they could use this, instead of doing shady sponsorship deal with some made up bit coin gambling business.
  23. If you are not mind numbingly boring sideways and backwards shit losers maybe!
  24. -There have been clubs like Burnley, Hull in recent years in not so wealthy areas, Burnley struggled to fill the ground frequently last year. Bournemouth have been pretty successful in a relatively wealthy are with very limited gates, its true Brentford and Fulham probably have the London draw. I think we have overpaid players because we aren't very good at doing business, Leicestershire is pretty nice and within a reasonable distance of Airports and London (if you are that way inclined, I personally detest the place). -I think all clubs except the London clubs struggle getting certain players, not that I think we should be shopping in that market, we need to step back and take young players, maybe released by big clubs who have something to prove (like Drinkwater, James, Vardy etc) for most of them we are still an attractive club. -Gate receipts outside the Premier League are still quite a big revenue turner, the TV money outside the top flight is pretty pitiful for the amount of fixture disruption it causes for fans. TV revenue in League 1 is £2 million a year, Championship £8 million, our gate receipts are around 500-800k per match. -Our attendances have been above 20k since we moved from Filbert Street, even for long periods there it was full, we have a catchment area of over 700000 people in the county, and a 1 club city, I don't see that attendance will drop below 20k unless we really stagnate in League 1/2 for a number of seasons. -We haven't monetised our social media exposure, as I have mentioned the club have been particularly poor at capitalising on the success commercially because they are run by morons. -Again you are correct re the YO-YO club, however we are now far below that, we have kind of forgotten what we are, the club is still running itself like a top 8 premier league club, when it isn't. Delusions of Grandeur amongst Top and Rudkin are much of our problem, absolutely we have not capitalised on our success, and in reality the club has been run terribly for a multi million pound company. Rudkin is not fit to clean toilets let alone be a director. However, we have always been amongst the top 30 clubs in the country (with the most success in the past 50 years outside the top 6), with half competent ownership and leadership there is absolutely no reason why we cant get back to Challenging at the top of the Championship (at worst), especially when last year saw the likes of Millwall and Hull towards the top. With a proper vision and identity the club can get back to competing in the Premier League. Unfortunately the ineptitude of the ownership and his chosen leadership has failed us, and looks like it may continue to.
  25. I think our turnover is likely to be higher overall as even last season we had the 2nd biggest average attendance in the Championship, also with our recent success we do have pretty big social followings. We probably get an average attendance this year a lot larger than a lot of Championship clubs, and even some of the tin pot Premier League clubs. Unfortunately the club isn't very good at using either of these advantages,
