  1. Disappointed not to get a win, but I'm not mad at the players for it. Performance was good overall, aside from some lapses in concentration on set pieces. Should have won it with Vardy's ball to Barnes, but his finishing is poor unless he has time to settle and pick a spot. He's young, so that will come. But, Barnes NEEDS to start working on his finishing without taking a touch to control it. Still 3rd and Chelsea are a decent side. Lots of positives but they need to start winning again.
  2. Barnes really needs to spend some time working on his finishing. I say this every weekend.
  3. Evans... That's unforgivable.
  4. You'd think he'd have been marked better the second time around...
  5. Tidy tidy Chilwell!!!!!
  6. Great ball from Tielemens to spot Chilwell. Barnes' first time finishing lets us down again. Easily the weakest part of his game that we see at least once every time he plays.
  7. I felt that breeze on my couch from Hudson-Odoi.
  8. Happy for Barnes. 2 in 2 now.
  9. Barnes making things happen today.
  10. Needs to work on his finishing, especially when he needs to hit it first time. But, most of the criticism is harsh.
  11. That looked incredibly easy for Barnes
  12. Is this a 4-1-4-1 today?
  13. Rodgers just said this as well.
  14. How about Nigel Pearson?
  15. Yeah, it's good. In my opinion, probably the best football writing these days by quite a bit. I like Michael Cox and that's who he is working for these days.
  16. Anyone else read The Athletic's bit on Jamie Vardy? He's a freak.
  17. Wow at our CMs today. Two amazing goals.
  18. Grealish looks like a player. Villa would be in serious trouble with out him. Villa have 27 goals for, with Grealish scoring 7 and assisting 6. Not to mention, some of the goals he's scored have been pretty impressive hits.
  19. Another question might be, "have any good goals been ruled offsides by VAR? I think the answer is yes. But, I do agree with you that the way to fix this is by changing the law to favor attackers. Daylight between the attacker and defender, something like that.
  20. VAR is a complete disaster. The offsides rule was not written with camera technology and autocad engineering software in mind. The fact that it can be scrutinized so closely is a classic case of overthinking it. That said, there are even instances where I'm not so sure it actually is offsides. The rule needs to be revised to favor attackers a bit more, or VAR needs to be scrapped completely.
  21. Wasn't able to watch this all the way through, but great result. Even more so considering how many were rested.
  22. Outside of the top 3, with 1 or 2 exceptions like Sheffield, the PL is a mess.
  23. It's probably both. Look at the depth of Man City and look at the depth of Leicester. There are very few clubs in the world that have the options that City have. That said, January should be an opportunity to strengthen.
  24. Really no other option but the approach Rodgers opted for here. You aren't going to take the game to City at the Etihad. Might as well weather the storm and try to hit them on the counter, just like Vardy did. Need to do a bit more to break up City's midfield, but that's a challenge for any side on the planet. Everyone knew it would look like this just get behind them.
  25. Still clenching.
