  1. The top teams will always try to retain possession, but they can also counter attack at speed. Teams have had 3 or 4 years of playing and analysing Man city and Liverpool and they will eventually work them out. The problem for te Villa as they get better and improve is that they will come up against alow block so they will become more of a possession team, this is the problem we had starting at the end of our premier league win and the season after we came unstuck, because teams sat in with a low block and so it continues for the Foxes, because most teams that come to the Kingpower will sit in deep and hit on the counter.
  2. Joe 'world class Allen' would change all that!
  3. I like it when we have lots of possession, as long as we do something with it. It is no good just going from left to right and then hit it long because we've run out of ideas, it is just like the Puel days. I don't think we have enough clever players to unlock well organised teams that sit in and play quick counter attacking football. Maddison is missed badly, at least he can get into the pockets of space and try to put doubt in the minds of the opposition. Today we didn't put any doubt in West Hams minds, they just were too comfortable and therefore could stick to the plan.
  4. Yep Wesh ham have 14 shots and we have 5, but we won the possession stats
  5. Perhaps we should say West Ham did nothing and it was just luck?
  6. Rodgers = Wenger in his last 5 years at the Arsenal
  7. Teams in the Prem now know how to play against possession based sides after playing against Man City for the last 4 or 5 years.
  8. We miss Maddison getting into those little pockets of space, there is no creativity in the final third when teams have a low block.
  9. I think Rodgers has rectified some of the issues that have been there since Puel, but we still lack the ability to unlock defences against teams well drilled and organised.
  10. Welcome to the restart version of Leicester, I knew it was too good to be true after beating Citeh.
  11. Just remember West ham thumped the Wolves 4-0, Moyes will have them drilled like an improved Burnley, but with better quality.
  12. I can't watch it anymore, perhaps I'm hoping for a miracle if I turn it off.......I can dream!
  13. Sometimes the system is not the problem, if 8 or 9 of your players can't pass or defend.
  14. Typical Leicester build you up and then reality bites, we seem to be the specialists in this.
  15. We are so bad in this first half!
  16. V. poor from us so far! Is this is a return to normal....I hope not.
  17. Is Justin playing?
  18. Just sign so FT can close this thread. I don't think I can take anymore crap chants/songs
  19. The so called bigger clubs sometimes don't always want to take the risk, they prefer the ready made product. This works in our favour and players know they can develop at our little old club.
  20. You're not stereotyping kind then? P.s. It is the Breton's who gave us this stereotype and they are not even French, they are closer to the Welsh & cornish.
  21. That long....it is usually 2 mins into a game when the slating starts.
  22. CB prices seem to be at a premium, and you don't need to be able to defend as well. I think I might dust off the cobwebs and come out of retirement.
  23. I agree with you 'credit where credits due', but call me a cynic, there will be a thread started on FT by someone if he has a shocker and it won't be constructive.
  24. Here we go, build him up before he gets knocked down. For me he was motm against citeh, but I'm just waiting for one mistake that costs us the game or victory before the lynch mob crawl out of their holes to crucify him on here.
  25. I think he's a good fit for Leicester and a good coach/manager, but I still don't like his management speak, it does make me cringe.
