Another tragic story of someone who's a millionaire struggling, he may have mental heatlh issues but at least he can get help and pay for it, most of the people who have these problems can't get to see someone for months, if they are lucky! He just comes across a bit arrogant and thinks he's better than he is, it is a case of a big fish in a small pond that became a small fish in a big pond and got lost as a result!
-
Yes he has that in his game, but I think he could be a very good player with the right manager and guidance......just not sure Rodgers is that manager for him! Hamza seemed better under Puel than Rodgers and you can't say that about many other players!
-
I don't think Rodgers is too keen on him, I for one think he could be a very good player with the right supportive coach. I still don't get all the negativity on here though.....oh wait, one crap game and the hang'em & flog'em brigade on FT come out to play!
-
If you come from Belgium you are generally bilingual, the North is Flemish and the south is French, although good French speakers, Praet and Tielemans accent is different to that in France...it is slower and more understandable to us Brits so perhaps it is their second language. I know Ricardo speaks French as I've seen him interviewed on French TV.
-
That is because there is a rugby player with the same name, he plays for Clermont Auvergne.
-
I think Norwich were looking for 18 million and not the derisory 10 million form L'pool, I know a couple of Naarwich fans and they rate him, they say he's a bit niave and was left isolated too much in the prem. I think he could be a v good signing, but as with all signings it is a 50/50 chance! Castagne was probably brought in for experience and his adaptability in different formations and maybe Riccardo's injury might keep him out longer than first thought.
-
Perhaps for those of you who go on about a plan B, he will be a good signing......or maybe not, because plan B on here usually means kick and rush and lumping it up to the big man upfront.
-
He won't move, Praet & Tielemans have probably been in contact with Castagne for a few days before they met up for international fixtures, convincing him to come to Leicester.

If BR & club having transfer issues then bring loanees back
Le Renard replied to UHDrive's topic in Leicester City Forum
I can see a reason to use Silva in Europe, where the game is played at a slower tempo but why would Rodgers bring back Slimani, when he shipped out the big man Carroll at Liverpool who cost 35 million. -
I suspect the club have money, but don't want to pay exorbitant transfer fees, Edouard for 40 mill, during the coronavirus pandemic is laughable. Man city have screwed everything up by paying 40 million for Aké who was from a relegated club.
-
Clubs get in trouble because the wage bill in the Prem league creates more pressure on clubs than the actual transfers, which can be deferred over several years. We buy the 5 or 6 players we need, what about the wage bill that goes with that? 5 players at around roughly 60,000 a week is roughly 15 million + each year. How much income does the stadium create each year? It was around 15 million in 2019, so this is a financial headache for all football clubs who don't have a Shiekh or Russian oligarch.

I'll just go and shake the magic money tree just outside Kingpower stadium, that should do it! It is funny how football fans like to spend other peoples money and just don't live in the real world, too much football manager methinks! I am not going to want my club bankrupted, we've had that once and I don't want to see my club go through it again. As for the infrastructure, it doesn't stop us selling a prize asset every year. I would rather Leicester grow slowly than become a Leeds, look how long it took them to get back. By the way go and hold your head in shame and maybe shake it a bit to get that old grey matter working.

Mangers complaining about lack of transfers funds is nothing new, but there is a coronavirus pandemic that is causing economic problems for football clubs and sport in general. We have seen Man city pay over the odds for Aké and Chelsea splashing the cash like there is no tomorrow, this is distorting the transfer market for most clubs that don't have sugar daddies. If the story was true (which I believe it is not) and Rodgers is throwing his toys out of the pram, then he deserves to go somewhere else. I for one would rather have a solvent football club that spends money wisely and has a plan to grow sustainably.
-
Why buy now, when the price is still inflated! Chelsea are spending because Abramovich sold one of his companies recently for around 1.5 billion, so he is cash rich and asset rich, Man City are cash rich because they are funded by a country. These two clubs are distorting the market at the moment. Kingpower maybe a wealthy company but that doesn't mean thay have it lying around under the bed, they maybe asset rich but not cash rich etc. As for the players that we have sold, it has all been put back into the club, you can see the amount spent on players & wages, Maguire's transfer fee was spent on Tielemens, Perez, Praet & Justin last year, which adds up to 104.30 million euros, the Maguire sale was 88.50 million.

Horses for courses! He's a good player but not suited to Prem, where you have to run at 100 mph and move the ball toute de suite.
-
I would prefer Tagliafico but it will probably be Lewis, the club has a good relationship with Naarwich, perhaps they will become our feeder club, just like we've become Chelsea's!
-
We are a selling club(at the right price), Chelsea know it or else they wouldn't persist with the Chilwell deal. The clubs just above us in the 'pecking order' know they will have to pay more for a Leicester player, maybe it is why Man city seem to stay well clear of any of our players since Mahrez!
-
We all sort of know that the club sells one expensive player a year to reinvest in the team, I'm just bored of the weeks/months of speculation before he eventually goes! Although I'm not too convinced of some of Rodgers signings for other clubs, unless it is Joe 'world class' Allen.
-
Good job I've taken up cycling to lose weight and get fit, I find white always shows off my middle aged Moobs too much!
-
There are only a few clubs you can't begrudge a player going to, and one of them is Barcelona, but 40 million euros...is it silly season at the moment?
-
I couldn't agree more, he's the type of player we need. There are too many of our players who get bullied and knocked off the ball!
-
It was Chelsea just after they won the league, Mahrez was probably planning his next rendez-vous at an airport!
-
We don't want him back! When at Leicester Slimani and Mahrez were heard talking in French to each other that Chelsea is a Vrai club, which means a real/true club as opposed to leicester which is ordinary! In French this phrase un vrai.....can be used to demean the other side!
-
We all know how this goes, a few weeks of will he won't he, everyone has to put up with Skysports and the toilet paper press trying to get him his move etc. Fans then get so fed up with the speculation, they just want him to go and get the cash for the club! If the club can get at least 60 million for him, most fans would be pleased. The problem will be Chelsea/Agent trying to destabilise Chilwell in order to drive the price down, we owe them for Kanté.......oh wait, we sold them Drinkwater!

I remember getting carried away by a youtube football montage for Silva, Slimani & Musa, look what happened after they signed.
