  1. Accelerated decision, points deduction this season to ensure LUFC promotion. I have seen a number of their supporters pushing this
  2. Others have suggested that if it’s too painful to bin Rudders, offer him some other role within the organisation but appoint a sporting director. Do nothing and we will suffer for it and repeat all the same mistakes.
  3. Don’t count on it (them surviving).
  4. Accountability is massive and needs to be seen - no platitudes.
  5. I think it’s well established that we backed Rodgers (and Congerton) without applying enough checks and controls. There was a reason why Liverpool made him work under a transfer committee including their CEO. Our record on large incoming transfer deals has been generally poor since 2016 (e.g.Slimani, Silva)- but there has never been any accountability. In 2021 when we splurged on Daka, Soumare and Vestergaard we quickly established none of them really fit the bill. Woeful due dil. Just emphasizes again we need an elite sporting director/ DofF.
  6. Is this allowed under PSR and FFP? If it is you would question why we haven’t done this before - for example with Rodger’s wages. Wasnt one of the (many) charges linked to Man City allegedly hiding / routing payments of wages to Mancini via third party company?
  7. My gut is Top is committed, will continue to fund our losses in the short to medium term and wouldn’t want any negative baggage attached to the KP brand / damaging his Dad’s legacy. That said I am not convinced he has what it takes to remove people who have been loyal but, been found to be unfit to run an elite football club. This to me is the acid test as to whether he can turn us round. I think our recent trophy success would make us attractive to potential buyers. Whether those buyers have deeper pockets than Top or where more savvy is less certain.
  8. @Foxes_Trust thanks for your response. When you say would encourage, can you formally request they adopt this once the cases are resolved. As you have commented transparency / better communication with the fans is an area the Club *must* get better at.
  9. I think I read it was circa 410m in the year we finished 8th. Obviously we lost Fofana but the drop off is significant and as you say, compared against wages, is staggering
  10. @Foxes_Trust How can it be right that the Club won't share the breakdown of the PSR calculation with the Trust / supporters, when presumably if charges are followed up (points deductions, embargos, fines) after the Independent Commission process, the league / IC will themselves reveal it - we should not be the last to know! And Ipswich Town has shown it is possible to do. You are right to challenge this and please keep asking, no demanding, answers to the questions incl. : 1. Who will be taking responsibility for the failures in financial control and management. 2. What lessons have been learned 3. What plans are being put in place to ensure we are not negatively impacted in the future. With regards the Club failing to respond to outstanding questions what is your plan to follow-up on this(e.g escalation to the CEO).
  11. Scouting and recruitment are key moving forwards. We need to invest in these areas and a best of class DofF to lead them.
  12. If Top / KP keeps funding our losses we remain viable yes, but if we continue hemorrhaging cash (due to expenditure exceeding income) we will continue to be penalised by the leagues, we will fall down the pyramid due to needing to sell our main playing assists and rely on inferior or less experienced youth talent. We *must* see changes at board level.
  13. I agree that we placed too much faith in BR and Congerton and forgot what made us successful.
  14. Fair point. What I was getting at was they have generated large incoming fees for Potter, Cucarella, Caicedo and McCallister and the prospects of continuing this are remote. Where they are head and shoulders above us in scouting and recruitment (esp. South America) young talent at affordable fees. It is reminiscent of us buying Kante and Mahrez and what we need to get back to.
  15. There model in recent years has mirrored ours (big incoming fees Maguire, Mahrez, Chilwell etc) but what happens when there is no asset to sell?
  16. 6 points a given I would say. I am sure EPL would try to load on points based on the legal action / not falling in line but we may be able to get that reduced by the independent commission
  17. I think you would be able to see acceptance of mistakes made by who the owner appointed and how they performed in the role. Take Levy at Spurs for one. He’s a nasty little sod by all accounts and has made mistakes, but he clearly ran the show (no interference from Joe Lewis), you knew he was in charge and he ran the club effectively as a commercial enterprise There will be people Top could appoint who would run the club, our club, as a viable business, had knowledge of the football industry so we didn’t keep making poor decisions and provided him with proper advice. Is Top prepared to make those decisions though? my fear is after this cluster****, if the board hasn’t learned lessons it never will and we will be destined to repeat mistakes.
  18. I agree that culpability sits with more than just Rudkin, but I cannot see after the scale of breach we are talking we can continue as is with *all* the same people in charge. Take Rudders bless him. Someone who has so clearly shown he doesn’t have the chops for the job ain’t going to become a competent operator. If there is no change, IMO I will see no accountability.
  19. Expectation is we will breach also for this financial period and need to significantly reduce our operating expenditure to avoid another penalty (as with Everton).
  20. Agreed 83m allowable losses over 3 yrs in the EPL so we likely get whacked again if we don't get promoted. On top of embargo and points deduction. We need to be promoted.
  21. Anyone called @Ric Flair and the lads on the bat phone for an emergency pod?
  22. Its bleak I know, but our only strategy is to curtail expenditure massively, sell assets and rebuild over the long-term. If promoted the EPL will be a shop window for the youngsters / and they will know they will get game time if we have sold off the established names and could get a move to a "Bigger" team if they do well.
  23. We would have still breached - the merit award loss was around £30m (from what 8th would have delivered) - our losses are being classed by likes of Kieran Maguire as unprecedented.
  24. We are a car wreck.
