Agreed, tho I wouldn’t see a negative in Top engaging a recruitment firm to see who might be available to fill the Sporting Director position in the Summer.

Agree that all the focus should be on delivering promotion but, also expect that the higher ups will suspect the demand from fans to make changes will have passed amongst the celebrations. Obviously depends what the EPL / IC penalty levied is in the Summer. It’s goin to be a massive summer with recruitment key. My gut tells me Rudders will oversee our business and still be in place come match day one.

A fit Ricky P is levels above most players tbf but Hamza hasn’t really kicked on since he broke through into the squad. Not sure what Hamza’s best position is or that he has a future beyond making up the squad numbers. Perhaps a bit harsh but there u go. Big challenge finding cover for RP in the summer.

He elevates our team when he plays alongside Winks - elite talent. Massive challenge for us in the close season is finding cover / a player who can rotate with Ricky when he needs a rest / inevitably gets a knock.

Supposedly he is now fit, maybe not match fit, but think reality is he is fourth in the pecking order.

I think we will need 100 points to be certain of promotion unless one (Ipswich) now falls off a cliff (unlikely).

Maybe you’re right (the cost of a further loan being too great). I am sure we will make use of the loan market next season to make the finances stretch but with lots of positions to fill question is what will be the best use of our budget.

I will be interested what the plan is for Doyle if we go up. Clearly his lack of pace, in a defence that is lacking in pace overall, is an issue but in Enzo’s system (of playing out from the back and through the lines) he is pretty integral. I wonder if the best option would be another season loan to see if he can cope with the increased standard of attackers.

It would be interesting to see if Enzo could - and if he would be willing to - wheel and deal in the transfer market, bringing in players with the technical attributes to play his game on a budget.

Say what you like about his performance over 90 mins but he has regularly stood up to get some important goals this season. 🙌🙌
