Took my 6 year old daughter tonight for her first ever game and even though the cricket was dreadful, we did really enjoy the experience. I’ve been living in London for 15 years now and occasionally go to Surrey games - it’s always way too busy with massive queues for food and drink. Tonight felt way more relaxed and just generally a nice experience. Perfect weather too. Just a shame the game was a bit rubbish!

I’d be going straight into that castle with the theory that one of Rob, Romesh or James is a traitor. I’d be surprised if none are. Money is probably on Romesh.

Is there no live stream on YouTube these days?

Wonder if we’d start matches with 5 seamers given most of them can bat? Possibly something like this… Budinger Patel Rehan Weatherald (would potentially put him here rather than as an opener to solidify the middle order or play the Handscomb role) Hill/Eskinazi Cox Holland Green Scriven Davey Hull

There wasn’t really any need for Rachel to announce what she knew about Amanda being a detective. It was hardly a massive secret that required her calling for a group meeting! It wouldn’t have given her any advantage in the game and it’s still too early for a traitor to draw attention to themselves like that. Still, Fiona’s reaction was priceless and completely unhinged!

Why on earth did Reece not say anything about seeing Rachel and Steven at the family tree and Rachel telling him to leave? Surely that would implicate them as traitors and also would explain why Steven was pushing the Maz agenda. Totally baffling that it wasn’t mentioned!

Of course I’m happy that we won but I’m also sort of annoyed that we only won 1 match outright all day. That’s pretty incredible to be honest as I thought there’d be a minimum of 3 winners, even on a bad day. Then again, a lot of the US winners today went down to the final hole so you could say it was a bit unlucky.

And how will we line up? Maybe something like this… Eskinazi / Patel Budinger Holland Hill Masood Cox Trevaskis Van Beek Green Scriven Hull Or maybe Holland drops down the order to make space for another batter?

Bethell has been an absolute passenger. We might as well have been playing with 9. I’m sure Stokes would have keep the target to 30 or 40 less. -
Thoughts on Happy Gilmore 2? I’m only halfway through but enjoying the fact that it’s not strayed too far from the original. Although I’m slightly biased as my friend co-produced the film (he’s also the main producer of Full Swing and was asked by Adam Sandler directly to be involved)!

Anyone watched Stick on Apple TV? Only 4 episodes in but I’m enjoying so far.

Stupid Derbyshire!

Anyone else slightly underwhelmed by the Lions lineup? Don’t really see how Beirne starts over Chessum when Chessum has played much better in the warm up games. Not sure Curry deserves the start either and it seems unfair on Morgan. Would also liked to have seen Pollock on the bench as an impact sub, although I appreciate the back row is probably the most competitive. Having said that, I think he’s made the right calls with the back line, even if the injuries have forced his hand.

They obviously won’t change things for the 2nd test but if we’re being completely honest here, Bashir is nowhere near good enough as a frontline spinner. I doubt he will get too many wickets all series and I seriously think England need to be brave and look into another potential option for the Ashes as Bashir will get destroyed. Not sure who’s next in line but does Rehan come into contention? I appreciate he’s not bowling much for us but his batting has been excellent recently. -
Agreed on the mix. Matthew has come across as a really witty and genuinely nice guy, and Jason has lived up to expectations in terms of his humour and approach to tasks.

West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

They’re American! And they bought us the tickets months ago! -

Going tomorrow as some friends bought us tickets and we live a 10 min walk from the stadium. Wondering when I’m allowed to ask the friends if I can leave?! -
Not only is it all celebs again, but it seems to be mostly celebs from about 3 shows - Big Brother, Real Housewives and one called the Challenge. At least last year they had people like Deontay Wilder and John Bercow to provide a bit of variety. After watching the UK one, this doesn’t even come close.

The US Traitors this season is absolutely dreadful

I’ll add to this. I’ve been fortunate enough to do a lot of work with Chris, and have also cycled on the London velodrome track with him sitting right behind me and giving me advice. He’s not only an absolute legend in terms of his sporting accomplishments, but he’s also one of the most genuine, friendly people you can meet. It’s such a shame to hear this news.

Very much enjoyed the smell task from last week!

Would be great if at least Patel could come back in but not sure who you would drop? Rehan would also be great but would that mean dropping Trevaskis, which seems highly unlikely given how he’s played the last couple of games. Perhaps something like this… Patel Budinger Hill Rahane Handscomb Cox Trevaskis Holland Mike/Rehan Scriven Wright/Walker Seems a bit harsh on Kimber but Rishi is a safer batter at the top of the innings. Also would be unfair to drop Walker but I feel like we need to put our best 11 out. Thoughts?

Seems a bit odd that despite England finishing 2nd in their group, they were pre-allocated the B1 slot and so avoid playing the A1 team (India). I’m not complaining as they are a good team to avoid but surely it would make more sense to have B1 allocated to the team who actually finished 1st! I’d certainly much rather play USA and West Indies than India and Afghanistan. -
No one’s mentioned anything about this (or at least I haven’t seen anything), which suggests I just don’t know the rules of rugby properly but for van der Merwe’s 2nd try, did he not hit the touch line flag with his body before he grounded the try? Is that not out of play? Not that it makes much difference, but I’d love a bit of clarity on the rule here.
