  1. Has this closed now for everyone? I was going to buy a membership to get some but the game's not appearing I don't think anymore...
  2. I remember that video he did with Bobby Reid where he basically just blew smoke up his arse for 10 mins telling Bobby what a great player he was and how lucky Leicester were to have him. Absolute satire.
  3. I'm sure I remember Marti saying that he has his footballing ideas but will be flexible with his setup dependent on the squad and player availability. Why oh why are you playing Luke Thomas so high up at times then? I hope it's not another case of a manager trying to force their philosophy on a squad that hasn't got the ability to succeed.
  4. This seems to have been an issue now for a very long time but with the loss of Vardy seems even more apparent. We just have no one on the pitch anymore who leads, shows grit, holds others to account and would give anything to get over the line. The captain's armband has been passed around like pass the parcel. Take someone like Hamza, who you might think could tick some of the right boxes - he goes to ground and gives a way a very silly penalty and the whole team just hasn't got a clue about seeing a game out. Imagine Winks being allowed to sulk like that or Soumare putting in such a poor performance under some of our warriors in the past! Troubling times.
  5. He reminds me a little bit of a young Andy King bursting on to the scene all those years a go.
  6. Footballers get more free time than most professions and get to spend more time with family than most. The average man gets his 2 weeks off when they have a kid (I know this is increasing a little) and then it's back to work 9-5 while your 2 week old is at home. Add the fact footballers families don't have to work and have no financial pressures whatsoever. I mean none of us really know if this is what's causing Winks to sulk, or if he's even sulking. It could just be that it's the first round of a tinpot cup and he's not happy about not starting Sunday or today. Who knows?
  7. Winks not even acknowledging the fans after he scored sums the club up at the moment. It feels so divided.
  8. Pressing the forward areas so much better under Marti.
  9. Trouble is you have Thomas getting forward with Daka with clever movement like my Nana's 1960s automatic sewing machine. Recipe for disaster.
  10. This is still our biggest issue in my opinion. "Waiting for the ball" We just don't seem to have worked on movement in the box when we get the wingers into a good position. Also it was clear to see Wednesday (especially first half) were targeting our wingers and letting all the shite sit on the ball like Soumare, Vestergaard etc. Better teams - i.e everyone else will do it better! It was only when they basically fell physically apart from lack of fitness we started to look dangerous. We won't come across many disjointed, unfit sides like them for the rest of the season so basically this was a freebie. How Sky gave Winks MOTM over Ayew or Fatawu was laughable. Lucky guy as if he had started and Skipp had come on second half, or any footballer with two legs, would have got MOTM as they were completely shot. I don't think there was any football played from 60 to 70 mins due to their cramp and theoratrics. Fair play the officials adding it on mind. Thought we looked very disjointed as a whole today and everything Marti had mentioned as his blueprint we couldn't have looked further from it.

Couldn't even find the thread for Ayew which says it all really but was anyone else surprised about Bates's comment about Ayew being renowned for being a hardworking forward?
  12. I think the thing is with Monga, if you think about the World Cup or Champions League final, the very top of the game with the most elite players - Page, Alves, Evans, Aluko playing in a team you wouldn't be surprised if they were passengers, which is not to say their potential ceiling isn't high. With Monga I'd expect him to beat any defender in the world and then the next with a shot or cross almost everytime. This is not over exaggerating - I don't know how you put a value on that ability at such a young age where he's likely to only get better. His centre of gravity is alien like - those shorts hanging down near his knees is just perplexing. It doesn't matter if you're a 7ft German shithouse defender - he took one for a piggy back before tossing them off like a toy. Give him space you're fu*ked, get tight you're fu*ked. Just think if you double or treble up on him how much space that's going to create for others and damage the team's overall tactics and shape? I don't even think trebling up is guaranteed to work either!
  13. I noticed some little nipper ball boys (actually probably only a few years younger than him!) mobbing him as he walked off around the pitch yesterday after being subbed. I thought that's the experience he needs too, he's a lad that only a few months ago was sitting with mere mortals in a maths class - he needs plenty more exposure to sycophants so he can get used to the limelight, because boy he's going to need to get used to it as he's undoubtedly going to the very top of the game. Let's hope he can get at least 1/2 there with us.
  14. I predict the first £200m player.
  15. So are Mavididi, Ricardo, Mads and Reid all injured?
  16. I really think Justin should be dropped - has looked a shadow of his former self for a couple of years now. Doesn't look any better this pre-season.
  17. Did anyone else just think it was Leicester fans booing Vesty? I thought Bates had turned from his robotic trance by reporting it!
  18. He's actually just turned 18.

Shame on you if you never believed in him. He's the second coming of R9.
  20. What Faes on the wing whipping in crosses?
  21. I can see similarities to when Maresca took over. He got a tune out of Rodgers' rejects and then offered tripe like Vestergaard new contracts and then f**ked off. I hope we learn our lesson and sell them to a Championship club who know they can do the business at that level.

Paid too much too young and has absolutely no desire to better himself as probably in his eyes he's reached his ceiling and can relax as he's made for life. Also used his money to better a lot of peoples lives back in Zambia, which is morally a great thing, but not a good for us looking for a striker to be hell bent on devoting his life to the club. He's possibly one of the biggest flops we've seen in relation to transfer fee and contract. We should cut our losses and just get him out of the club as quickly as possible.
  23. Lakzo Zolt V Coventry
  24. I find it odd people don't want him back. He'd scored a minimum 15 goals next season in the championship, more likely 20 - what makes it even more exciting we have a manger that's intent on attacking. There's hardly anything left to get excited about the club - Vardy rotating with a new striker or Evans/Hutchinson would be what dreams are made of.
