  1. We need to see improvements on the pitch. That first half against Charlton we looked completely devoid of any strategy, hunger or identity. As bad as anything I can remember under Ruud or Cooper.
  2. Nah, it's not that simple, if you put him back in that league he'd struggle. There's something gone seriously wrong. He doesn't look like a footballer anymore.
  3. How can he go from scoring almost a goal a game for Red Bull Salzburg to a goal a season at us? It's one of life's mysterious unanswerable questions.
  4. If in doubt, dive to floor.
  5. I suppose a bit like Ayew then?
  6. 14 goals in 75 Austrian league appearances. I know football isn't as simple as comparing him with Daka but it doesn't feel good.
  7. Thanks for this Jim 👍
  8. Maybe Booooooooalll so he's unsure we're booing him or chanting his name like Wboooooooooooouttttt
  9. Rangers down 5-0 at HT v Club Brugge! Not a good few days for Scottish football!
  10. Looks good in the air! Headed goals from strikers a dying art.
  11. Yeah was just thinking that. We have been in a similar position and I remember NP saying that there was loads of work put in finding the right fit personality wise. Hope Marti values are the same when we start buying again.
  12. To me this is another point at the awful culture at the club. Winks sulking, Faes smirking and throwing fists at the fans and now Bilal apparently throwing his toys out.. It's hardly a band of brothers where players are held to account by each other is it?
  13. Possibly left out the most famous Steve Claridge!
  14. There must be a Leicester fan working as a developer at Flashscore. Look who's listed under departures 🤣
  15. But he'll get a big portion of German Sausage!
  16. Brownhill's numbers in the Championship are up there with some of the best I've seen from any midfielder in the division! A global scouting network or not, that should be the driving factor in getting him in! Plus he's on a free!
  17. What other type of player would you recommend right now? Yes, we need to get back to the model of the past of buying cheap relatively unknowns but that can only happen if you've got a spine and they can be integrated gently. We are lacking quality in midfield and Brownhill is free and has an unbelievable track record at this level so he's the exact type of player we're after.
  18. We can end up going too far the other way on the spectrum and be scared to spend any money at all which is not what we want either. Brownhill's stats are amazing at this level and if we're not paying a transfer fee I'd be happy with £4m -£5m a year on wages. To think we spent £25m Skipp with probably £3m a year wages with an average season at Norwich all to show before! - Codey, Skipp, BDR is the type of nonsense we need to stop, Brownhill would be shrewd signing IMO. He could be the difference between promotion which is worth a lot lot more obviously.
  19. What was it that shocked Kasper do you know? I always had him as hard grafter when he was with us.
  20. Wasn't it that each manager that came in saw Vardy's unorthodox training methods and ways and just let him get on with it? Not sure how that would work going to a club. Maybe he's turned down a few clubs looking for someone specific to accommodate his quirks?
  21. Stol Ricardo Nelson Okoli Thomas Hamza Winks Monga Page/Alves Fatawu Mavididi
  22. If we were to go up again it just shows you how difficult it is for a promoted club to buy anyone decent. Justin was absolutely horrific consistently. What irked me the most with him was that he always played that safe ball back inside when potentially in good attacking positions. He couldn't defend either and went through a spell last season where you wondered if he had completely lost all ability. Possibly the deal of the season this. He'd have been on a decent wedge and to get a fee for him is immense.
  23. The way forward I think is definitely Ricardo at RB with a license to get forward with Hamza in midfield with Winks. It's not ideal but I think that's the strongest midfield and means Skipp and Soumare are nowhere near the team. For all Choudhury's criticism he adds bite to the midfield and you can never accuse him of not trying.
  24. The way I see it is that £12m for McAteer is great but this deal points to the problem with Rudkin. He seems to hold out for ridiculous money so the amount of reasonable offers we've rejected ultimately has led to players stinking the place out and then leaving on a free. We'd have certainly rejected £6m -£8m (a completely reasonable fee for McAteer) so like a broken clock, Rudders is bound to get it right from time to time but this is no way to run a football club long term.
