  1. The thing is most of the 'old school' come out for the bigs games all stone island up yet when it comes to it shut themselves,I was a prominent member of the ybs when we started it up,was always us young lot Avin a row,we were game as ****,hear the young lot now are(I'm 30) and av mrs and kids and don't bother anymore, pisses me off that you get the so called old school sitting in family stand with the kids in the s.i gear, yet when push comes to shove and it's gonna kick off say 'av got me kids',that's well and fine but then don't wear the clobber to say your a lad if your a has been, most so called lads ain't even as a row, gaur enter that out of 50 lads(hate it when folk say there was 200 there today)only a dozen tops will av it,the rest **** off back to the tavern and av the cheek to say they've just 'had it'!
  2. So we're playing our most talented player that could have helped us over the last 20 games, but was ultimately rejected. We then wait until nothing matters, when we could be blooding in players and you'd expect not to play him... But no.... We wait until the worst possible timing to play him that makes absolutely no sense. Well done Leicester! Absolutely mind boggling.
  3. Collymore

    Daka

Daka is probably the worst footballer I think we have in the squad. We just happened to change shape when he came on.
  4. You should not be sending a 14 year old up to take a penalty.
  5. Luqman Aideed looks like he has got something about him. Never heard of him before.
  6. Looking forward to seeing Hutchinson. Heard good things about him but haven't seen him yet.
  7. That's strange. I had a different line up.
  8. No. I think it'll be 4-0.
  9. Can't edit this as it messes up my formation but yes, as pointed out no FB today so replace him with Ricardo and bring Coulibaly in at RB.
  10. Yes Soumare needs to be dropped, he's definitely a part of the issues both attacking and defensively. The bigger issue though is our shape with Kristiansen and Justin. These two must be the most ineffective duo I can remember, they neither attack or defend properly and it's so disheartening to see Justin in some promising positions on the right when he's completely clueless and offers no threat in the final third. To have Thomas and Kristiansen in the same team should be a crime. What the hell Daka was doing against Newcastle I'll never know. Seemed to be playing midfield/right wing. Still having nightmares now thinking of Justin and Daka trying to combine. You could tell this was just ad-hoc tactics the players had employed because RVN had just given up. We need to go back to proper basics. We need proper attacking players concentrating on attacking and Daka, Soumare and Faes should never wear a Leicester shirt again. Ricardo in for Justin. Mads should also be dropped. We need to go back to a back 4. Stolarczyk Coulibaly Coady. Okoli. Thomas Ricardo Ndidi Monga. Bilal. Evans Vardy
  11. Their goal scorers look like they haven't scored in centuries. Typical Leicester!
  12. Don't think there's a stream tonight for the U23s V Forest?
  13. I reckon the Coronation Street music with Roy on the big screen.
  14. Got called up to my senior side in the Leicestershire league. Completely went into my shell and hated the lack of freedom - picked up a serious injury about 4 games in due to lack of physicality and was soon back playing for the U16s and enjoying my football again! Also remember being lamped by a brute of a defender for trying to get into the wall and the ref just saying "welcome to real football mate!" To play with men at that age and be successful is so rare.
  15. Yeah it was probaby that you never got to see the league standings unless you bought a programme possibly.
  16. Fond memories of seeing Collymore playing in that infamous match where Big Trev lamped him in the changing room. He was shooting from everywhere, taking pot shots from 50 yards out and producing the most audacious skill I think I've ever seen at a match. I seem to recall seeing Gaza playing once for Everton Reserves and seeing Davor Suker for West ham reserves too!
  17. I do remember sitting in the Carling Stand for some reserve games possibly about 1996 but you maybe on about earlier? Out of interest, what was the structure of it back then? I can't remember there being any leagues for the reserves but it was before the Internet so maybe there was? Was it just you played the reserves of whoevers first team you were playing that week? Can't seem to remember there being any meaning to the games as getting excited about league positions like you do now... There wasn't any age laws either was there? You'd get loads of journey men playing in it, with fringe players mixed with some youth. It's a shame because fringe players in the first team get no extra football at all these days do they?
  18. I think it'll be interesting to see the players and fans reaction when we do (if we do!) score. Possibly a hint of sarcasm from the fans? "We scored a goal!" and an ironic cheer when the goal does go in? Also I'd imagine whoever scores it (if we score it) will have to play it so cool for the celebration, literally just turn and walk with head down type stuff!
  19. It's such a tough one to call. You'd have thought Hermasen but IMO hasn't looked great since his return from injury. Thomas hasn't been bad as I thought he might have so possibly him? Also ridiculously Fatawu has been out of the team for the majority of the season but at least he looked a bright spark when he did play a handful of games and his attitude is probably the best in the squad. It just highlights the position we're in when I'm suggesting Thomas as player of the season for being average and another who's not even played!
  20. Just been thinking - is it that Top is happy he's found a "yes" man that will protect him, soak up all the negativity and generally toe the line and he's happy to have a front guy getting most of the negative attention and difficult questions? When I saw RVN pre Man City the guy looked like he had aged 10 years since he started. When Enzo, Cooper left and even Rodgers did, you get a sense that everything is swept under the carpet and agreements are made not to talk negatively about the board. Even better for Top now as he has a guy that's slowly falling apart but will not lay a finger on the bigger problem. Him. Maybe this comes through inexerience. Imagine NFP or someone like Harry Redknapp/Big Sam putting up with what's going on? They'd have spilled the beans in days about the sh*tshow! I think Top was getting concerned about more experienced managers kicking off in the background with him giving him a headache and decided upon someone like RVN to basically pay to leave him alone and take the flack. It's the only logical explanation I can think of to why he's still in a job!
  21. To think the majority of them probably picked up nearly £200k - a nice house or dream car - since we played last.
