Will The Board Ever Admit They Might Be Wrong?
Collymore replied to Parafox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah I'd have sacked Enzo last season during that time and still would have. It amazes me still the amount of people who think that winning the Championship was some sort of massive achievement! I remember seeing the odds at the start of that season and to get promoted we were similar odds to say Norris winning the next grand prix he's taking part in or Man City beating Newcastle on Saturday. Cooper would have got us promoted last season I'm sure. Enzo really was stubborn and inflexible and we were lucky Leeds, Ipswich and Southampton all seemed to go off the boil at the same time otherwise Enzo would have been out of work now and we'd be travelling to Plymouth tomorrow. Clever bloke. Knew that he couldn't continue to play his way in the Premier League with us and wasn't going to change his philosophy. He's perfectly matched with Chelsea in my opinion. -
I think he'll set us up so we keep them down to 3 or below but it'll come down to whether the players are looking to get him sacked. All subconsciously obviously, but against Everton it looked that way.

It has to be stubborness. It's the only answer. Players and fans are getting on his back and he doesn't want to be seen changing things to save face. It's the only explanation I can think of. It's funny he talks about great leadership being about being strong when things are bad but that strength is listening to others and admitting you're wrong first.

This. He can talk for another 20 pages, saying all the right things but what he is saying is not being backed up at the most fundamental level with team selection. Seems so obvious to every one but him which is the biggest mystery.

With Martin's logic Rudders was paid a back handed slap because he said something along the lines of "DOFs should be never be seen in the media and only judged on results/performances on the pitch" which means Rudders should be instantly court-martialed. -
Didn't realise the pitch Invader was running on to confront Cooper! Don't think I ever can remember that happening in the past.
-
Awesome performance. Match winner. Well done.
-
Oh no without a doubt. Without instructions of the bigger picture from cooper, he still went inside whilst retaining possession. Looked like the only one who looked like he believed in his ability and how to at least try to progress the ball while defend. That's my take.
-
Best player on the pitch tonight by miles and didn't particularly play well. Cooper is a ********* idiot.
-
Can someone explain why Skipp hasn't started this game or last despite looking like our best player? Is he injured?
-
Absolute nightmare levels of a performance. Cooper should be ashamed.
-
There no way Walsall can keep these energy levels up is there? I've been impressed by them to be fair.

Steve do you read this forum? If you do, ask people to evaluate your performance as manager so far and learn from it, quickly. You're playing some absolutely shocking stagnent stuff and picking players that beggars belief that are literally winding up the fans. I think your mind perhaps is getting too focused on something else (possibly survival and your CV) and you're not seeing the bigger picture of entertaining. Remember that attacking and creativity is the best form of defence. You need to wake up quick, Steve. You'll be gone if you don't heed my warning.

Read this first as Kante and Gerry McCann. 😂 In an infinite universe, somewhere, Ngoli and Gerry are bathing their offspring and arguing who's turn it is to read the bedtime story.

Our final play into the attackers is abhorrent
-
Pound land sponsorship! Give me that over ours any day.
-
Edouard looks as sharp as a polystyrene.
-
"Danny ward using all of his experience" what experience? Sitting on the bench?
-
Danny dived out of the way of the ball and it curled into him.
-
Yeah probably Sky interns.
-
Classic - put the smallest player marking the tallest in set pieces. Cooper master class.
-
And play Ward upfront instead of Daka...
-
Well the players look as clueless as ever.
