If we do go for Rohl and get it over the line it could well be Wednesday holding things up. I would argue that the situation is pretty complex and not as simple as it would be to hand over compensation or to employ an unemployed manager. If it is Rohl then patience might have been required due to his situation and if it saves 1 million (for arguments sake ) then I’m all for it and it might for once show a savvy financial decision. In our heads it’s been dragging in for months in reality it may be only a week or so, if we announced him in the next few days, given the complexity of the deal and working with an owner like chansiri, I think we will have done pretty well. I could of course be completely wrong and it’s not Rohl and we simply have no plan.

I hope you’re correct. However, I would say so in today’s market goal keepers don’t tend to go for loads of money and also Chelsea know that realistically, we have to sell. Paid that with a reasonably poor second half of season, relegation, PSR and our recently ability to sell players for under value. We are not going to north of 25.

I agree, he far from perfect but currently I just don’t see where there goals are coming from. if he can bag 12 next year from midfield it takes pressure off any sort vardy replacement as well as wingers.

That is not an issue at all. What are you supposed to do? hire a manager that is good but not good enough to get noticed. To be fair Maresca going to Chelsea is unprecedented, I can’t think of any other time a promoted manager get a top 6 job.
