Quick Overview of our Players
Duquesne Whistle replied to thesilverbluefox's topic in Leicester City Forum
As a matter of interest, why did you include Harry Maguire amongst all those quality footballers? Seems a little out of place. I agree with you about Lookman though. -
I think he's done a shit job overall and we look a team devoid of all the necessary qualities, but it's a little bit of a stretch to say he's deliberately sabotaging things. He just doesn't know what he's doing, which is totally different. We need to get out of this before he does even more damage in the summer.

And the bad decisions just keep on rolling...

Focus should be on the Europa Conference League
Duquesne Whistle replied to Old git's topic in Leicester City Forum
I said not long after the Fofana injury, that I'd settle for midtable and a good go at the cups. I thought that was realistic, if a little unambitious. Well, the two domestic cups went with a whimper and whilst the league position is midtable, it's starting to get more uncomfortable. I really don't know whether the best thing is to concentrate on the league and put out a team we hope will advance against Randers, or whether we should be going all out for this. I just can't see us being good enough to win this trophy, so it would be foolhardy to risk too much in this tie. In summary, fvck knows really, but any win, anywhere would be good for morale I guess. -
I think that's a copy of zonal marking at corners for beginners on his coffee table. Swerve.

Cricket (None Leicestershire County Cricket Club)
Duquesne Whistle replied to leicsmac's topic in General Football and Sport
So the Ashes debacle seems to have been down to our geriatric, useless but World class bowling pair then? Or are we rotating again -
I hear the sadomasochists within our fanbase are keen. Not too many other takers I imagine.
-
You seem to be arguing with me, yet agreeing with the point I actually made. I don't care if it's his identification of players to sign or his coaching that means he shouldn't get near our rebuilding transfer chest. He just shouldn't be allowed near it, period. I'll leave it there.
-
Is that the same 'good recruitment team' who identified and bought Jannik? Yeah, that overshadows the good buys for me. Or was that BR's own baby? I dunno, either way, keep the funds away from him.
-
I can honestly imagine that being on one of BR's school report cards. I think we're an image of the manager.
-
Yes, I apologise. It's hard not to just lash out after that shite today. I dunno what's likely from the clubs point of view tbh. I thought he should have gone months ago and said so. Maybe Top was hoping to hold on until the summer, but this season has been an utter abomination. From a personal point of view, I just don't want him to spend another penny of the clubs transfer funds. That's it really. Apols for being a bit of a tit in my initial reply, I'm just fed up mate.
-
My Mrs if you want, just not him. He left Liverpool in an absolute mess, he'll do the same to us. It's imperative he doesn't buy players, look at the mentality he's fostered.
-
I'm terrified this bloke is somehow going to hang on and get his hands on transfer funds. That would be doubling down on an ongoing mistake. He will deflect, dodge and excuse himself of any blame. It would be tedious if it wasn't so depressing.
-
Every other manager apparently. Give me 11 players and I'd have his number too.
-
Rodgers. Guilty of the worst tactical mistakes since King Olaf the Hairy, King of all the Vikings, ordered 40,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside. I'd had enough ages ago, it's a horrible validation to see many others joining the same camp. Just get rid.
-
I defended Puel a bit too long. Haven't made that mistake with Rodgers and have been voting out for some time now. Get him gone.
-
There's a few of us have been saying it for quite some time now... His replacement? Fvck knows really, maybe someone from the ticket office could make the defence better. I'm sure most managers could too.

Dunno mate, I'm talking around 1984/5 I'd reckon. It was rough as fvck tbh. I don't mean particularly threatening, it just looked like everyone was pretty broke and didn't have much hope. Of all the Scottish cities, it was by far the poorest relative then. I don't imagine much has changed but it may have. Edinburgh has the castle, money and the beauty, Glasgow is a thriving, multicultural hive of activity, Aberdeen has oil, and has consequently had a massive amount spent on infrastructure since the 70's, increasing rapidly in the last two decades, Inverness, well the scenery alone anyway, but coupled with the history, it's a gem. Then there's poor old Dundee. Lovely area, in scenic terms, some great countryside and a lovely river, but always the one with (relatively) high unemployment and crime figures for it's size. I could be wrong here, but weren't they one of the highest SNP voters in the country at the referendum? Voting for change has been shown historically to be common in the most depressed areas, unsurprisingly I guess. Saying all that, I guess a night out is a night out regardless, I was just never left with the best of impressions. Maybe I'm just an (unwealthy) snob mate
-
I've had nights out in both Dundee and Broughty Ferry. I can confirm East Neuk Fox is correct It was many moons ago tbf.
-
Hey Wooley, haven't seen you post for a while. Hope all is alright.
-
Hey Doc. Look a handful of posts above yours mate

Problem is, that tends to depend on how talented they are, which it obviously shouldn't. Allan Johnston got another contract when he left prison.. If he is found guilty, whatever his punishment, they will say he's served his time and deserves another chance, when the times comes. I cannot see him ever playing for an elite club again if he's guilty of this, they won't touch him. Can't imagine he'll ever get another cap, whatever else happens. When this type of thing happens, the law should be able to make him take up a fulltime job, at minimum wage, doing something more useful than kicking a bag of wind around.
-
This is just a really sickening way to wake on a Sunday. There's enough shite going on all around us without this kind of ugly incident. It genuinely puts you on a downer. Glad there's no games today, honestly don't think I could watch one.

I can't help but think we've sleepwalked towards this as a society. The mountainous amounts of all types of pornography out there desensitises people, especially those growing up in this era who haven't known a time pre internet pornography. Unfortunately, it 'normalises' all kinds of behaviour. I'm no prude, but the barrage of this stuff available to kids must lead to some of these types of incidents. Yes, there were magazines when I was young, and young men will search out that type of stuff, but now it's so visual, and often it can be brutal. I think some people think this is normal now. Putting aside the (alleged) physical assault, the use of language and lack of empathy is just as (if not more) worrying. Some (thankfully a massive minority) seem to think behaving like this towards a partner is normal, and on the other side of the coin, some women must be conditioned into thinking they are prudes if they don't go along with demands, given they've also probably seen (rough) pornography at some time too. Genuinely hope they throw the book at him. I'd say the same about ANY of our players if they did the same thing.
