Without wanting to put to fine a point on it, some of last years decisions towards Man U, coupled with other strange decisions against the 'smaller' clubs near the top (notably Sheffield Utd) in the last quarter of the season make me nervous. Liverpool are genuinely faltering, and that doesn't suit the money men who will have loved their resurgence in the last 2 seasons. I genuinely hope we have a match won (by whomever) without controversy. We've got a chance in this one if we don't timidly stand back in awe, as we have done against them more often than not in recent times. Hope Wilf is 100% fit for this one. He'll be key if we're going to prevail.

I'd be surprised if there was a single fan at the time who thought Perez was good business at the fee we paid. It always seemed a strange option to lavish funds on as he'd done very little with Newcastle really. It's balls when transfers don't work out, but he's had significantly more opportunities than Under and he was chosen as a focal point when Vardy was injured rather than Iheanacho. Both of those facts seem bizarre given the paucity of his performances (especially recently). Unsurprisingly, he seems very low on confidence. The problem I have, is that a fully confident Perez still seems below the level of starting 11 player we should aspire to, and I don't mean that to sound like an entitled fan. He's had his good games, just not nearly enough of them. Lacks any consistent influence in games to be starting in attack really. An option from the bench for me, but not a starter as things stand.

The normal complaint is that he doesn't offer enough of a threat. He scores the winner, and now his interview technique is the problem. Pathetic. Well done Kelechi, thanks for helping us into the quarter finals.

Despite it's reputation and a number of Oscars, I think One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is still underrated. The interplay between characters and the move from hilarity to an ever increasing sense of doom, on behalf of all the characters (but especially R P McMurphy), is genuinely brilliant as the film progresses. Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the hard drinking, fun loving, all American good time guy unwittingly taking on the establishment is an absolute masterclass, remarkably matched by the performance of Louise Fletcher as Nurse Rached. Add to that a stellar cast, including a very young Danny De Vito, Christopher Lloyd and Scatman Crowthers, and you have an all time classic. We all like what we like, but I'd advise everyone to give this a go if you haven't already seen it. The cinematography is of it's time, but that matters not given the setting of the film. On the overrated side, I've never understood the big deal with Reservoir Dogs, decent film, nothing more. The scene accompanied by the Stealers Wheel song is a great scene, but I think it's falsely elevated because of that. Anyone know if Tarantino just lifted the Mr (enter colour) thing from the Walter Matthau film, The Taking of Pelham 123, or if he was paying homage to that film?

I think you're probably correct. Mourinho delights in pointing out his trophy wins, above all, silverware matters most to him, regardless of the competition. One trophy with Spurs, even a league cup, and he will argue that his whole time there was successful. In a way, he'd probably be correct, in a 'perennial bridesmaids win rare trophy' kind of way. He already knows they're too far off the pace for the title too. -

One wicket begets another. Lawrence for a duck. Penny for Burns thoughts now. As usual, there's a lot on Root now. -

60 odd for no wicket, on a road of a pitch, in the opening test of the series and Rory Burns decides to reverse sweep Ashwin. Deary me. -

Only a start, but the openers have played well so far. -
Oldie, but an oft quoted, classic film ending.

Under is more of a goal threat than Perez or Iheanacho. I wish he'd played a little more.
