  1. Yes I think you are right. I had forgotten that. I remeber seeing a bit of the trouble in town. We always used to park near the market and walk down. I know I had a friend mushy who would get involved and he kept talking about it for ages. He was a very wary developer compared to me. I caught up though in my late teens though. Those were the days. I have never liked Chelsea since then. Early memories last forever. I hope we upset the odds today. Come on Leicester.
  2. Blimey I remember that. It’s funny I think I blocked a lot of that out. I think as a kid I was quite upset at the time. But I guess I’m just as protective about family as my dad was then. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks. I was only young. I remember the stairs and it fits in with my memory. I was kind of hoping it didn’t. My dad stood in front of us and I remember Chelsea fans charging and one trying to king fu kick my dad. My dad could handle himself in those days though. We started to go as a family in the family area but as we got a bit bigger moved to the double decker. That day was a bit crazy. Thanks for your insights.
  4. Can anyone remember a game at filbert street in the late 70s or early 80s when they closed the exits from the double decker either to let the Chelsea away fans out of the ground or be escorted away. I was there with my dad and brother and I’m sure I remember Chelsea fans charging us lot. I’ve always had a dislike for them since. I can’t recollect much about it as I was only a young one?
  5. Any news on what he has done. ACL?
  6. I’m sure someone could knock up some videos to fix that. Please.
  7. Like most things nowadays I just record it then watch it when I fancy. I still find it a good watch and easy way to keep up on the other matches. I still find it relevant. Of course I have always been proud that it is a Leicester lad fronting it. I’ve always found him a bit of an uncomfortable watch. Like watching your dad dancing but in the same breath I also find that quite comforting. He has done it for so long. Match of the day won’t be the same.
  8. I feel your pain We kind of did go back and start again when dropping to the championship and the swathe of player changes and financial reconstruction that followed last year. The one area left relatively untouched was those at the top. We haven’t seen enough to suggest that they have learnt from earlier mistakes and if anything we see signs of repetition. We were handed a lifeline last year in the championship with the success on the field. The operating environment is much more difficult now under PSR but poor decisions or lack of decisions may undo last seasons rebound As fans we had become accustomed to a level of performance and achievement that I thought I’d never see here as a lifelong fan. I admit to having a sense of entitlement to see the club continue to perform and try to get back to that sort of level. The same ambitions that the chairman publicly stated and drove us to whilst he was with us. . If the club don’t share, or feel unable to deliver, the same ambition that the fans have become accustomed to then it is natural that there will be disengagement. I fear it will take a long time before we are aligned again.
  9. Spot on here. I wonder if it was picked up at all on commentary. It’s blatantly obvious bias (bob).
  10. That goes without saying. We lost the best when we went down but that was inevitable. To be back here competing is honestly as good as we could have hoped. We draw a line and get on with it. I never expected to be cheering in the likes of fatawu winks mags and facundo but I’m enjoying the battle.
  11. I have to admit. Very disappointing. Some bright parts but it didn’t feel that we ever really got going particularly in the final third. Our closing down for the goals was particularly poor. The worst of the season I think. They weren’t that special and we have more to show than that. Some decent performance from the likes of winks and Facundo. Thought VK battled well as did Ayew. Not what I expected from Wilf and soumare seemed to revert back to type. Disappointing.
  12. We seem to be very negative in our expectations with this one. If we demonstrate fight energy bravery and teamwork we can come away with points in this one. A win will take us above them in the table but we need to be bold and assertive. COYB
  13. I don’t think we will. I can see us starting with the Ipswich line up. 1-0 down at half time then come back late when ayew comes on late to score an equaliser.
  14. I think the under the radar ship has long since left the harbour unfortunately. I think our only hope is that if he doesn’t fit the clubs requirements and that he really wants to stay here. If it is just the former I think there will be other clubs willing and able to pay more. There is a chance albeit small.
  15. I don’t think we will get smashed. They will be motivated to impress the incoming manager but we have a fighting chance. I would take a point all day though.
  16. I agree. I think if we stay up I would go higher to be honest as talent like that doesn’t come along often and he has age in his side. My only concern is that would we have enough money left in the kitty for the striker we need. All hypothetical for now and we should just enjoy his performances and hope he doesn’t get injured.
  17. Ayew and soumare did well when they came on to be fair. A draw is fair but it was ours for the taking at the end.
  18. Great goal. Lovely one two Vardy and ayew.
  19. It’s like he has never seen our players.
  20. Better than skip coady and BDCR. Worryingly better than some who will start on Saturday too.
  21. Second string team but some dreadful performances out there. There is a dark cloud hanging over the club.
  22. Time to say goodbye
  23. Yes at times last night especially in the first half we looked much more fluid and sharp in midfield. Those two defensive mistakes cost us dearly. I think we have to concede that Forest were the better team and at present are a notch above us ( even Liverpool suffered a similar fate at home). I’m no cooper fan and I haven’t agreed with many of the things he has done during his time here but the brief is to avoid relegation. We will be beaten by teams above us but we need to compete and pick up points where we can. It sucks but we just need to learn from it and go again.
  24. Pawson is a joke best thing ayew has done so far.
