  1. We weren’t playing that system as proactively under cooper so we are probably a bit rusty in switching back. Almost a case of relearning it. The premier league teams definitely press more aggressively but with confidence low players sometimes are less inclined to show for the ball. Winks makes a difference when he plays.
  2. Did you mean a magic ward. I’d be happy with that. Otherwise a relegation get out of jail pass.
  3. Least I could do as I bought the tickets.
  4. My brother had drank too much and kept falling asleep from half time onwards. In the spirit of Christmas I didn’t have the heart to wake him up.
  5. Apparently I saw Shilton as a kid though though my earliest proper memories were Wallington. I wouldn’t use that word but he isn’t great let’s put it that way.
  6. Could start for England if he keeps up this form.
  7. Putting local rivalry aside Forest are the big improvers this year just as Villa were last year.
  8. They won’t know the verdict but those club officials involved in the process will certainly have a feeling for how it has gone. Wouldn’t take much for rumours to have spread based on body language and atmosphere. It was clear that palmer in particular was going to blossom. Whenever he came on at city before the transfer he really shone even in that team. The rumours about Roger’s were that he was a star too. That said how many clubs have let academy trained players leave the club for so called FFP reasons. I know it’s pure profit but they should remember they paid only development costs to acquire them. A great player is always worth holding on to especially when young and developing. muddled thinking really that PSR creates.
  9. Don’t get me wrong I think he is a good guy but I would think he is better at most things than being a matchday keeper. I wouldn’t let him wash up the best crockery though.
  10. He has had exposure and the incubation period is short.
  11. Never a penalty. Chris kavanaugh. What a txxxr
  12. I couldn’t believe we were doing that at the time. He always looked an average player to me.
  13. I think you answered your own qn there.
  14. Skipp Definitely. Wilf if we get the right offer - he has paid his dues here.
  15. Yes. To be honest I was disappointed in him. We made it clear we would like him and wasted too much time on him already. From his perspective though it would be better for his career if he took any decent job as you can be out of any profession for too long.
  16. Or because whilst he stays out of work during the period of his original Chelsea contract he gets more compensation from them for being terminated.
  17. Perfect.
  18. True i would imagine they have as this has been coming for a while now. I wouldn’t have thought they would have pulled the trigger unless they had someone lined up.
  19. Worst timing for us that sacking. They were in bits last couple of weeks.
  20. I hear what you say but he is very tenacious and good at both winning the ball and retaining it in tight soaces. He can also pick a pass and drive forward with it. I think you could slot him into a deeper midfield role no problem. I didn’t mean it literally but thinking about it the only thing that put me off doing that is with his talent it seems a waste not playing him further forward.
  21. Facundo would make a difference in any game.
  22. I know it’s not her natural position but I’d pick Doris the tea lady over ward any day of the week.
  23. You get ward you deserve.
  24. Bilal is so quick over the first five yards. He is really coming on. Missing buonanotte big time here though. I’d even bring him on for hamza as the matters passing has been poor.
