That was coming. Fecking hell
-
Feels like the last ten minutes of the reverse fixture. Let’s hold it together this time.
-
Cannon has done well but great to see cards back. Come on Yunus. Time to shine.
-
Well done Hamza. Cmon guys we need to sharpen up.
-
Cannon was unlucky there. He has looked decent again tonight.
-
Hamza doesn’t look comfortable over there on the left or when he ventures forward. Still kasey has started well. We just don’t look joined up going forward and too quick to pass back.
-
That’s the way I would go too as I posted earlier. It has taken successive managers time to realise the value of albrighton when a squad gets stretched. Ok he is not the player he was in 2016 but he would add balance and experience. I think that could work well with mcateer and Ricardo inside. When he tires or if it doesn’t work then bring on Yunus or Praet. Kasey is a versatile intelligent player who I feel could do well in the number eight. If kDH isn’t fit then I would shuffle and bring Hamza in. Between Justin and Doyle I think it’s a close call and experience pace and agility may give Justin the nod but I do like the balance that Doyle gives us not just with those raking diagonal balls to the right but also in defensive physicality. We have options. More important than the selection is the mentality and togetherness on show tonight. We need that desire and confidence.

If albrighton is fit this is the way I would go. I think cannon would enjoy his early delivery into the box and I think he would link up well with kasey inside. Mcateer is an intelligent player and I can see him doing well in that role plus he is decent in the air. I think Enzo may start with Yunus or Praet though in that 8 role to start but I can see albrighton coming on second half.

Go on. Don’t be a tease. We can all keep a secret.
-
You are right but to be fair he has been improving in this aspect since the early days. He is also less hesitant in taking on players and more direct at running with the ball. He has also improved the defensive side. I wasn’t sure when I first saw him in a city shirt but I have been increasingly impressed. Likewise Fatawu on the right but with a different trajectory.
-
This is really the crux of the season. Time to shine but I’d do feel less confident with players missing. Especially Wilf. Still an opportunity for others to step up.
-
I agree with all you say. We started ok but never showed enough intensity and speed in attack in their half even though we were breaking the lines well. Coventry did well second half and took advantage of the numerical advantage so fair play to them. Our defensive substitutions did invite them to play in our half.im not a fan of doing that. I hope we learn from that and move on quickly. The Ipswich game becomes even more important as do the upcoming Southampton and Leeds matches.

The red card was more over the top than the challenge. . You could see he was getting frustrated but he shouldn’t have given that daft tw*t of a referee a chance to card him. It was a yellow though. He is young but I can understand his frustration. He has been one of our best and most dangerous players all season but he hardly got a pass today. He kept showing but we seemed timid to give him a run with the ball. Instead of using him we kept turning inside or passing back. I shared his frustration. We will learn from this.
-
Learn from it and move on like we have before.

Feckin hell. It was coming.

Referee got the penalty right. Reckless challenge with studs up waist high. He went with the wrong leg. Actually catches kdh studs up when he takes an evasive jump. As for Fatawu it was a rash and poorly timed challenge but never a red. It wasn’t as bad as the penalty. Referee lost it there to appease the crowd.

Yep

Decent start by cesare. Winks really is a different class though in this division.
-
Doesn’t happen often in cov though does it.
-
Here we go. Lots of confidence and passion required COYB.
-
Great game. I remember fans singing the Harry McGuire song on the way out of the ground.
-
We will need them given the frequency of league games if we go on a cup run for sure.

Not a bad draw. Will be a good game at home and would be lovely to have a deep cup run again. -

Jesus I wanted to say that. Rock on Tommy. -
It really is. I’m running out for superlatives for this guy. Ok he is still a bit of a rough diamond but his work rate and attitude is inspiring. Just wish that shot had gone in (and the one against Leeds).
