Who'd of guessed Bednarek was shit
-
To be fair to Chris Wood, he must have got 10+ goals in the prem at least 5 times
-
Never said Ruud was competitive, and he was worse than Cooper but I also don't think being last for pretty much every metric under Cooper and relying on Hermansen every game is competitive but sure thing. Had we had people running the club with any kind of initiative when it comes to appointing managers, things could of perhaps turned out different
-
But you were on about players who hadn't really broken through, I've given you a load of examples of those players. Juve didn't get Huijsen from Roma, he played a handful of games on loan there. A few more names, El Chadaille Bitshiabu to Leipzig, Milosavljević to Bournemouth
-
He played about 20 league games, the one full season he played 14. Huijsen to Bournemouth, Retsos to Leverkusen, Anselmino who Chelsea paid decent money for
-
Well just for reference off the top of my head Abakar Sylla moved to Strasbourg for big money having played a few games for Brugge. We also paid big money for Fofana who hadn't exactly played a lot for St Etienne
-
Played over 50 senior games in his career, played for England at youth level, it's not really a case of it maybe being unlikely, he would go for more than Faes. I'll happily dig out a number of young centre backs who haven't played a load of games who've gone for big fees if you'd like?
-
Were we competitive? I'd argue despite being above the relegation zone, we weren't very competitive at all really
-
If we had sold Faes and Nelson this summer, I can confidently say Nelson would have gone for a lot more than Faes. Additionally Faes' value is very unlikely to increase regardless of how he performs this season, Nelsons would
-
I'm not romanticising at all, just pointing out I don't think he's as good and Hermansen would be getting battered for some of the issues Stolarczyk has shown this season. Like I've said a few times, I think Stolarczyk is fine enough for now and hopefully he does keep improving so we can spend money on the real shit areas of the squad
-
He's fine for the Championship, I just don't think he's as good as Hermansen was, who got pelters on here, although he's only a few months older than Jakub. The main positive is he's decent enough, especially at shot stopping, that we didn't have to rush and hopefully wont have to spend anything on a new keeper if he improves.
-
I think we're on about another moment I'm talking about just before the second goal where Hamza headed it back towards him and it was going out for a corner, he tried to keep it in despite it being clear he wasn't going to be able to get the ball under control and just gave the ball back to Hull who then built up to their second goal
-
Sorry but the Faes comparison is way off, this isn't based on him not playing for us for a while, but thanks for telling me why I and others may think that way. Hermansen making a few mistakes when confidently being able to pass a football still doesn't make him as bad as Jakub is at distributing it. Also sounds a bit contradictory to start with "I honestly think he's not far off where Hermansen was for us at all." And then finish "He was only ever as good as Stolarczyk is now"
-
Shot stopping is fine, bar his weird parrying in to a danger area he does from time to time, I just think he looks nervous and makes some odd decisions. The build up to the second goal last night being one of them.
-
I wouldn't say he's won us a lot more, he's an alright keeper, but he's not as good as Hermansen said before he's fine at this level but if we did get promoted I'd be thinking of looking at upgrades
-
Anyone explain what he was doing when he kept the ball from going for a corner right before their second? Seems to be the thing on here for a few to ridicule Hermansen for whatever reason but the drop off from Hermansen to Stolarczyk is looking pretty big
-
Aware our squad was better last time, but how well did Enzo start we were on 30 points at this stage last time

Easy to be vastly superior when the opponent doesn't need to be remotely adventurous -

Key point, as you say you were lucky with a point, a game we should have won but another where we didn't take 3 points -
He'd get a bit of a pass, if he appeared to remotely be backing up everything he said when he joined
-
Really doubt we loan him out to a club in the same division, they'll be too worried about looking stupid if he did well
-
Absolute shift at the end of that
-
He basically dragged us towards looking remotely like equalising at the end
