Because Slot has proven to be rubbish right?
-
Plastic. He needs to look petrified and say he's being held at WBA against his will, and will pay his own release clause to move to Leicester and take a pay cut. No dedication. Sad.
-
He's hacked the @SecretPro account and basically told you he is coming. How much more evidenshe do you need.
-
Im actually all for it. Get nice release clauses in the contract and have the next manager lined up ready to go.
-
Not the be all and end all, but the Betfair exchange gives more of an idea to the market as bookies use it hedge and lay to balance their books. This can still be very biased but it gives more of a consolidated view. Very little liquidity and very little traded (these markets are usually rubbish) but does show Ruud is the massive favourite right now.

Dutch. Read up on Zwarte Piet if you don't know about it already. Absolutely crackers.
-
It was done already wasn't it. Just getting backroom staff sorted and other bits and bobs. Hope they have good toastie makers in Seagrave. He's going to hammer it.
-
I don't know what is weirder. Saying he 'lacks experience', or saying that Moyes is a 'safe pair of hands'.
-
But then we wouldn't have been able to sign Ayew and Skipp.
-
You made it clear what you want....
-
For me from the leading names: Moyes - Absolutely not and get him off the list now. West Ham fans in my family hated him with a passion. Hes not a safe pair of hands and is as sackable (and has been sacked) like any other candidate. Doesn't need this job and i want someone who needs to succeed. Get relegated, Moyes immediately gets put forward for any other PL jobs. Potter - Not anymore. Would have taken him in the summer. Would rather be employing someone who wants to work. Always remember those barren spells with Brighton where they couldn't score and just drew every game. Carrick - I'm interested. Time at Middlesborough worries me in that he could set up a team to beat us one week (and look good), then they would lose several on the bounce to dross. Think he will go and have a good PL managerial career, but is he ready for us right now? Corberran - Oddly, not up for this during the season and would rather give someone like him preseason and a summer transfer window. West Brom not firing at the moment, and i feel appointing now is risky. I don't think he has a huge reputation with Players so he would need time to earn it (which i am sure he would). I don't think you get a bounce from this guy but he will come good after a few months. RVN - I'm up for this, and think it will work. Been coaching for a long time and will command the respect of the players. PSV experience has to work in his favour. Lets get RVN done folks, and go buy some black turtlenecks to celebrate.
-
There seems to be a worry that if RVN succeeds, then he will be straight off to a better club (like Enzo). Right now, i say lets embrace that and get the next candidates ready like Brighton do, rather than thinking a manager will be here for 5 years. I want someone here who really wants to succeed, which RVN will need.
-
RVN get the 'has PL experience' nod due to his 4 games in charge
-
Anywhere in particular?
-
Couldn't have given a toss about Forest, only that his PL record there was woeful when you consider the resources he was given. The job was there for him to prove anyone who gave a toss about Forest that it wasn't a problem either. I only go to home games, but never heard anyone whinging about Forest. Its being massively overplayed.

DEANO, DEANO, DEANO
-
You are. Hope you have some good sessions lined up for the morning.
-
Didnt he say it was Potter last time?
-
Closest Tanner gets to the club is appearing on The Final Whistle youtube channel. But in fairness, i dont think it will be Potter either.
-
There is 1 exception.
-
It also fails to take into account other teams that have made similar decisions in the past and made a big success out of it. Bournemouth is a classic example when firing Parker. They didn't get a top tier manage, but they could see it wasn't working and they felt as a club they should have been in a better position than where they were.
-
Joking aside - it's a clean slate for everyone, and there is no reason why Bobby doesn't have something to offer still. Noone seemed to make sense of Cooperball, and i imagine Bobby coming from a well coached Silva side has probably wondered wtf has been going on the last few months.
-
No - it was clear with Rodgers they had no one lined up which is why they waited until i think he literally pleaded with them to do it. I think they thought till the bitter end that he would save it. With this, i think they have done it because they are > 80% they have their man, and they probably thought that sacking Cooper would show that person our commitment to him, and that if we didn't act now we could lose him.
-
This sort of thing happens every time a manager is sacked. They all said it about Gerard when he got the boot from Villa and Parker (and even O'Neil) when they got the boot from Bournemouth. Its quickly forgotten if the new manager is a success.
-
This could be our Aston Villa moment when they sacked Gerard. Get this right, and we can be pushing for champions league next season.
