I think Thomas can be satisfied with his performance on Saturday, considering where he has found himself in the pecking order. I still think he has a good career somewhere, but it would be good to see him improve this season with us. We are going to need all the rotation we can get.

We are going to need to get the Brentford game out of our system. Everyone was poor, from players to the coaching staff. Brentford, like Forest, are annoyingly decent at the moment. But im sure like last season, Brentford will have spells when they are dog sh*t as well. Hopefully by the time they come to the KP. Ruud is going to have to work with what he's got, and we are a bit threadbare but regardless of how annoyed we are with the team right now, there is talent in there that needs direction and coaching. We could see something was fundamentally wrong preseason and it takes more than a few days to sort that out. Might see a bounce against West Ham who are not great themselves. Think Brighton will rip us another one though. It's going to be a bit shit for a little while but as long as we see improvements and some sort of direction then i will be happy.

Well done mate! Sorry to hear about the injury though. I woke up with the sniffles but went ahead anyway. Did a PB of 22.08. So frustrated not to get below 22. The 20 minute pacemaker seemed so far in front of me!! I came 32nd overall and 2nd in my age category (im 48 - gulp). Lots to be proud of with the running since my life hit rock bottom in August. Ive lost about 10 kgs along the way as well. I think I will set a target of 21.30 next year. It's do-able if I can lose a couple of KGS and keep the heart rate down during the race. Although Christmas is going to put a spanner in the works with that.

Multiple contracts do take time to sort out and sign - its just life, and its not unreasonable for this part to take a few days to get absolutely everything right. I've been through a few company acquisitions where you are desperate to announce, but you cant until everything minor detail is sorted, even though those details arent issues. I think its right Ruud isn't going to be taking the team on Saturday anyway so its best to let the assigned coaches get on with it whilst Ruud learns where his desk is, what laptop he will be getting and where the toasty maker is in the canteen. You can't even back on the betfair exchange right now. Unless we formally hear there is a problem i suggest you enjoy your Friday and don't worry about it.

Depends what we wants out of life now. If rumours are true and he wanted the England job, then that is semi retirement anyway. I presume now that a high pressure day to day managerial role probably isn't top of his list. I don't see RVN being here long (either he spectacularly fails, or does well and a bigger club comes for him), and when the next names are put forward I hope that Potters name isn't mentioned anymore. Would rather have someone who actually wants to work for a living.
