There isn't a vacancy, and there isn't guaranteed to be one.
-
No it doesn't. If its a prearrange christmas thing, done to get largely get it out of the way before the christmas schedule, then what's the problem? The fans can't be gate keepers for if someone can go out and enjoy themselves?
-
Presume we've abandoned a focus on possession football then?
-
Especially if the appointment is ex Chelsea?
-
I would imagine they have someone lined up who has recently agreed to take it. I expect a quick appointment.

Something has been up for a while. We all knew Cooper was going to be a bit of a wet blanket, but hes barely acknowledged the fans at the last few home games and the players have looked totally pissed off. With a back office team appointed by Cooper, i cant believe they think anyone in there is suitable to take it on an interim basis. They must have someone to announce immediately. I think its likely Potter after he didnt get the England job.
-
For us, Potter is that girl at the nightclub that gives you a nice look a few times, but buggers off early every night. When you do get round to pulling her, you realise shes got one tit bigger than the other.

Extended highlights have the whole move in its entire majesty - https://youtu.be/RydpLeE80Uo?t=258 Was 4 players - but have no idea what they were trying to do, but you are right that no thought went into what might happen if the opposition just pass it back through the middle.

I thought with Cooper we were going to get him rallying the crowd and getting siege mentality out of us. Players seem pi55ed off with him and other than going to moan at the refs post match we see nothing of him. He comes across as a complete wet blanket.

Yesterday was standard Cooper, and i get more and more confused by it. Turn up expecting to be pummeled yet somehow don't, and its somehow only to ridiculous mistakes where we end up conceding. No plan, no sign of tactics, little energy, and started the game appearing to concede defeat from the start. Completely outclassed by Chelsea, especially in the first 20 mins. However, at about 30 mins in Chelsea mimicked Leicesters Maresca and stopped believing they should bother going for a 2nd goal to focus on some lovely backline passing, and we somehow were always in the game. Ndidi should have at least hit the target for a golden chance, and Kasey had a brilliant chance to level. I just simply don't understand how this dross stays in games. Really makes me feel that a manager with a strong direction could actually get something decent out of our squad. Feels like a wasted opportunity. Last season, championship dross showed how to sh1t house Maresca-ball. Go man to man, double up on the wingers and flood the midfied. Couldn't tell you what our tactics were at all yesterday. Not a clue, but its clear Cooper hadn't watched much of us play last season. Special mention for the outrageous move that led to Chelsea's first goal. We had about 4/5 players hugging the center circle for Mads to kick long. He kicked it central whilst our players did a strange pre planned movement of leaving the center circle. Ball goes straight to Chelsea players who kept the ball central, Wout tries keepy uppy to keep the ball under control and is completely outclassed for the goal. It's like it was the first time they had ever played together. On the plus side i thought Bilal is starting to come good and it was Soumares best game for us. Even saw him run the length of the pitch at the end of the 1st half. That's about it though.
-
Disagree. I think VAR played the clear and obvious rule so if the ref gave the pen VAR would have stood by the refs decision.
-
Because the job is to stay up, and competing with the top 8 won’t be seen as feasible. Chelsea subbed on more value than our entire squad cost. Whatever we want to think about today, we are in a different league to this lot.
-
Maresca teams don't get out of second gear - its what we said about us last year. You set up against them knowing this. I didn't understand picking Kasey over Stephy, but Soumare was our best player today. Bilal a close second. Faes and Okoli had stinkers. But there its a mess, and its clear there is overall confusion as to what to do. Got to go.

How i long for the old days of being 2-0 up and hearing the grumpy bloke behind me shout 'oh geerrrrrrit foorrrwwwarrrds. FORREWWWARDS'. I am sure Enzo will give a nice little grin on his face when Chelsea go 3-0 up today, whilst have 75% possession. -

You know what - this game is going to be horrible. Before Cooper was appointed i had a dream that Potters Leicester are 2-0 and we are all singing 'you're football is shite' to Enzo in the last 10 minutes. But, it's a day with my boy watching Football. He's still invested and still wants to go. Will also get to see Cole Palmer play. Clutching at straws. -

Luke Thomas? -
So JJ will be done in the next few games as well. It really is going to be a horrible time.
-
Does anyone mind if i support Forest for the rest of the season. Just for a break from all this. Feel sick.

Well done mate! I did 22.41 this morning. Was absolutely gobsmacked as life got in the way of any training this week. Now wondering if I can break the 22 min barrier or not? hmmm? -

A real highlight of the season and will be sad to see him move on. I just hope it doesn't happen in January! If he does enough to keep our noses out of the bottom 3 then he will be fondly remembered for a long time here. -
Vardy missed a load as well last season. But Vardy has a lot of credit in the bank and doesn't let those moments get to him. Daka had a very, very good goal contributions record leading up to the Leeds game and I agree with @Finnegan about how his game overall worked well with the Enzo system. Leeds game - something happened. He had perfectly good goal disallowed and then missed a bit of a howler. Then had a crisis of confidence and Enzo stuck with him. I can't remember if Canon was injured at the time but he could have just done with a few games off.
