I would like the buffer of an Ipswich defeat.

Leeds / Southampton have recent PL experience, although i did forget about the Russell Martin factor. I would think if they went up they would get rid of him pretty quickly. The squads on the whole are much more mature when it comes to knowing what they need to deal with. Ipswich have been able to battle valiantly against a lot of the Championship dross. No way do they get to play like that week in week out in the PL. They will burn out pretty quickly unless they make some pretty decent signings.

Enzo opened the Cigar case i see.

You know it will be Liverpool away.

I dont agree we were lucky. You are not lucky if someone doesn't take their chances. We actually showed some pretty heroic defending, took 2 good goals and even missed a penalty.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chelmofox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
My issue with this is the points reductions are clearly being reduced because clubs are cooperating. Presumably part of that cooperation is highlighting how you plan to get inside the rule thresholds. If you just say **** it and spend spend spend, presumably you are just going to get maximum deductions for each offence all the time. -
WBA game and in particular Hamza's performance were key. Showed a tonne of bottle that day.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

I'm not sure about that as we are likely losing Ndidi, Praet, Vesty, Nacho, Albrighton and maybe Vardy whos contracts expire. I think it's likely Akgun isn't signed either and remember we never replaced Casadei. You can't lose 5/6/7 members of the squad and recruit no one. Midfield will be very, very light if we don't recruit as we will literally have Winks / KDH / Braybrooke, and KDH is likely going anyway. Midfield recruitment will be key. -
Preston Away - Monday 29th April - Pre Match
Chelmofox replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Preston are prime Championship dross, but they are no mugs. The've taken Leeds and Ipswich this season. Their players will be putting themselves in the shop window for next season and what better way to do it than getting one over the first team to be confirmed promotion on Monday night TV. Game has to be taken seriously if we want to win the title. If we don't care, then fair enough. -
Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?

And yet the Bournemouth one wasn't. To be fair the Chelsea one was less terrifying than the day we put Amartey and Souttar up against them. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

The rational is sound. If the owners are are reckless then they can asset strip the clubs and then literally disappear leaving the clubs and fans in the lurch. I think the goal was trying to achieve a point where even if that happened the clubs would be able to survice. The problem is that PL ownership is on another level and there are plenty of owners who are happy to finance and support debt in todays climate. One of the issues is its not usually investment that comes in, but instead the owning businesses are able to provide the collateral for huge loans and to pay of interest on those loans. The end result is that FFP/PSR is creating a bigger problem that it was trying to solve. Its putting clubs in more financial risk / danger if they don't meet certain revenues, so just missing out on Europe could be a catastrophe. If this happens, its very hard just to change the financial position of the oil tanker as you have players on 3/4/5 year contracts. Football clubs are different to normal business. If a company falls massively short of revenue targets, they can lay off 30-40% of their staff and reduce costs dramatically. The vast majority of a football clubs costs are in players wages, and these are locked into contracts and P/L is all based around the timeframe of those contracts. -

Surely let’s win the title. Think messing around now is silly. Beat these and just have a fun last at the KP next Saturday. -
Presume they weren’t ready for the last 6 games either.

It was many things, but it wasn’t relegation form.

Hull looking really hungry right now. Fancy them to take this one.
-
Just for old times sake: I can't see Leeds messing it up from here. (oh fek i really can )
-
Keep up. @Ric Flair has written essays on it.

West Brom, Ipswich and Brentford to get Relegated. Heard it here first.

Which is why we did 5-0 with 33% on Tuesday.

Just for balance. Although we had our dodgy spell, and lost 2-1 to this lot and a few 1-0 nils, Leeds have been utter, utter wank lately. They were terrible against Middlesbrough, woeful against Blackburn, but tonight, mustering up 4 shots on target in the must win title match was a low far beyond anything served up in our dodgy spell. Yes, I agree we were poor but at no stage did we get smashed, and our bounce back has been beautiful. The 5-0 didnt only crush Southampton but Leeds as well. Enzo went to Europe, to buy a......

Where are all those Leeds posters, including the ones who pretend to be Leicester posters but just cant hide it. Suppose we won't be seeing them for a while?
