Even that last goal at the end wasn't really counter attacking football. A Vesty interception playing out from the back. They just gave us all the space in the world. It wasn't long ball counter attacking. The best thing Russell could have done was to turn up low block and flood midfield. That would have thrown us.

I feel dirty for even saying it, but that season our forwards were banging in goals. We scored the same amount as a top 10 team. Vardy wasn't really part of it. With the last 2 goals - how much space did they want to give us exactly. The last goal was a lovely interception from Jannik straight to KDH who had the whole center of pitch to himself completely un-challenged and yet STILL had Vardy, Mavididi and Fatawu in front of him. Insanity Surely Russell had seen us play, and knew that the key to stopping us was stifling KDH and Winks? During our dodgy spell at least we still had some discipline.

My son is too young to have gone to any previous parades, so why should the celebration police stop another one from happening and deprive him of what might be the last one of these we will have for a while. With 2 games to go we have amassed a points total that would have achieved automatic promotion every season in the league for the last 10 years (and more - i just cant be arsed to go back further). It has been a success, one with a sticky patch in the middle.

I know. There were players there 15 years younger than him blowing out of their arse before he was. I was worried when he was in the lineup - i thought there was no way he could start 2 games so quickly. Must had 'bulled' him up to the eyeballs before the game. I was shattered just watching.

The most obvious negative is that our set pieces were absolute tosh (corners and free kicks) and i think even though we contained them for the first 15 mins of the 2nd half we were wasteful when we did win the ball back. Once we got the 2nd the swagger came back and again i think it's fair for the manager to maybe think that the opposition crumbling might need factoring that into what happened next. As long as he is constructive with everything he points out, i don't understand why anyone is getting worked up. But no one can tell me after seeing Enzo jumping around after each goal and dancing like an absolute knobber in the changing rooms that he isn't delighted. It is certainly Rudkins style. After the Birmingham game Top came around and gave autographs to everyone with the players (my son loved this from Top by the way). Rudkin was there and just stood in the middle of the parking area looking pissed off that he had to wait for Top. Don't know if this guy gets any enjoyment out of life.
