    Daka

My FB is full of people who say he should never wear the shirt again. Such strange people.
  2. Probably. Just not Winks please. Maybe play Cover again?
  3. Right now the 2 sides who opted for possession football are having poor form. I've seen Southampton's last few games and even those they won they were poor. Out of the top 4, Leeds do currently look the best () although I still maintain we outplayed them yesterday (i know - results blah blah blah). Ipswich annoy me. Was flicking between Southampton and Ipswich today and Birmingham should have got something out of that. All of the top 4 have dropped points in them. Us and Southampton are currently wilting, but form is temporary and I would be shocked if both Leeds and Ipswich both don't drop something along the way.
  4. Depends on how many of the games you want to contribute to the overall total.
  5. Read the Martin thread. Great therapy.
  6. Thats some wonderful cherry picking because it starts and ends with the 2 Leeds games which of course give 6 points to Leeds. Let me cherry pick around those 2 games : 2 points in it and the top 5 lost the same number of games. In fact, if i cherry pick and remove the Borough game (go to match day 33) we are 1 point better off than Leeds. Its a 46 game season, not a 21 or 18 game season. What you said is meaningless really. We need to do what we did last time after we lost 2 on the bounce.
  7. Plymouth beat Borough 0-2 (which makes me want to wretch).
  8. Yup. Offide, foul that should be red card but waved on, wayward shot deflected in the bottom corner.
  9. Why wouldn't it? Any park the bus and flood the lanes plan requires a bit of luck that the opposition aren't clinical. Its how i would setup against us. Its what we did to Newcastle late last year.
  10. Yup - was predictable. Upped their game for the big boys but can't be arsed to turn up against mid table.
  11. I’ll feking play the Harry Winks role. Just bin this off and focus on Q0R.
  12. I’m not. Middlesbrough executed a game plan that worked. Leeds didn’t.
  13. Hope not
  14. He is an excellent coach that has done good things with tools at his disposal. But do you really think he has the players he needs to kick on? People complaining about subs, but once you see players like Ndidi and Vardy injured, I think our depth is actually overhyped. At the moment I see Enzo in pragmatist mode, pushing a plan that he knows he needs better players to get right. It's a plan worth sticking to if you can continue to improve players and you can bring the right players in. But at some point he is going to need to show his darker side. Mckenna hasn't outdone him, but Carrick has.
  15. That 2nd half performance was not of a team hanging on for a 1-0 win.
  16. Do you think its was a great achievement to get so clear, to give us this buffer? Said time and time again that every team will have a sticky patch. Ipswich had theirs when they didn't win for about 6 games. We've lost 2 games. Its not a case of 'dont worry'. We have everything to play for.
  17. Enzo, quite rightly has been a pragmatist all season. He has recognised this is a horrible long season in a league that throws up horrible results from time to time. Not panicking is what gave us the foundation to be where we are. I still don't believe Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton will all win everything in the run in. But i think that pragmatist style has shown its downsides in situations like last night and against Middlesborough. It will be interesting to see if he sticks to the same plan, or feels its time to shake things up a bit.
  18. Disagree. What matters is what happens on the pitch now. Vardy has missed his share of chances and so has Daka. Daka put a shift in yesterday Vardy isn't some golden panacea for us anymore. He is an option for sure and i love seeing him, but at his age he cannot be first choice. Daka has offered enough statistically and in games to warrant being chosen. People behaving like all other strikers everywhere are banging in all their golden chances. They aren't - in any division. See the flufs Piro made in the first half. I'm not doubting Daka should have done far better with that chance but i dont agree that that single moment should define him.
  19. Vardy has missed his share of sitters, including a hum dinger against Middlesborough.
  20. Decisions been made. Nothing you can do. Post match though the club need to be ripping the lino a new asshole.
  21. Thanks. People keep likening this to Southampton away last season and soft quoting Maddison. Things is, we were piss poor at Southampton. We weren't tonight. We genuinely created enough high quality chances, and even put one of them away. I'm not saying im not concerned. We have a job to do. But i'm not agreeing with anyone shitting the bed yet. I actually thought we were losing both the Borough and Leeds games. But i think we go on a decent run from here and close it out.
  22. Do you think im mystic meg? I dont think the change in Striker made much difference but Cannon hardly came on and showed us what a different game it could have been if he had been on since the beginning. As much shite as Daka is getting, i think Mavadidi's miss was worse. However, they both had decent 2nd halves in the grand scheme of things.
  23. Ahh - there we are. I can go to bed now.
  24. Did i say 'poor leicester'? I said i don't feel deflated. I would feel worse if we got battered. We didn't. It means we have to carry on doing the right things.
