If he plays Vestergaard then we have to stop playing the high line / off side trap (although this led to conceding the 1st goal). Its a really big consideration. If Jannick comes in then we have to change the formation or structure. Would have thought Lascelles would have been the preferred partner? But if that was the case, we would have seen more of him?

Must win? This lot overpowered us with the physicality at the KP. If we go out with our version of 4-3-3, with Ayew up top and without Winks, we get killed as we simply dont have the tools to cope with it.

Players fall out with fans all the time. The biggest issue the club has had is resigning Vesty when he wasnt good enough for what we needed last year, and not offloading Wout when he clearly wanted out and the fans lost patience with him. There were plenty of good options out there, and many better options than Caleb Okoli. Nelson should be part of a CB team, not the one we were pinning all our hopes on. The fact that he is now the no1 choice and has to fill in for Okoli's short comings is scandalous.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

I brought this up yesterday and surprised more haven't picked up on it. Earlier in the game the crowd were yelling at Ayew to press, and he suddenly woke up and pushed their defenders back to the keeper. In this instance Ayew doesn't move from this spot. Made worse that Nelson has been caught napping and forgotten about the offside trap. The guy is so lazy. -
James Justin sold to Leeds United - Official

Farke adapted to life in the PL. Leeds are not playing a variant of 4-3-3, therefore protecting the defence. In our world, JJ was expected to be bombing up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. It was exhausting watching him do it sometimes. God knows what it was like to play in. Saying that, Leeds are still in real trouble and the relegation battlers all still get to play each other. I can still see spurs sorting themselves out. -
I dont think this chap has much of a career left. This was meant to be the season he got everything back on track. He cant spend many more full seasons mostly injured.

QPR knew they were winning once they equalised. Rowett talked naff all sense after the game. Just lots of nonsense about fight when he had picked Jordan Ayew, and that he could have made changes earlier but didn't. Was a terrible interview.
-
A few things about the goal. The defender who played the long ball had all the space in the world. Ayew had the opportunity to press him but didnt move an inch. Our defenders played the offside trap, but Nelson got caught napping so seems the attacker was onside. Then there is no comms between Nelson and Jakub - here they both show their inexperience. Howlers all around.

We know Rowett wasn’t first choice. Probably the best contract he’s ever had. It’s not hard to imagine the appointment came with several conditions.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

This is where I am at. Its probably a bit tin foil hat, but would love to know how common these sorts of promises are in contracts, or deals with agents?

Bristol City wasnt some sort of master class in team selection and management. We just came up against a team worse than us on the day. And remember, if that penalty went in, we all know how that game was going to turn out. Was driving to the Stadium when the team came out. When my boy told me I was strongly considering coming home. Honking selection, masked by an even worse Bristol City.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

Or, as countless managers (and the interim do), just pick him every game? -
Seems all managers have a way of talking in press conferences and post match interviews. Seem to make sense, then after 1 or 2 of these then you realise they are saying the same crap over and over again. Rowett no different. His 'fight' comments are no different to Rodgers talking about 'intensiteeeee' every week. Same words, different week. Feel we've hired another wrongun'.
-
I dont think ive even heard him say his name ever.
-
No one will care. They will care if they are dropped and taken out of the public eye. The best way to treat Ayew is to remove him from the squad entirely.
-
Actually - before the game i mentioned the Fulham game, as Deano was manager then. This felt like the same lame performance just to remind us who we are.
-
The wingers are the ones who arent creating, and Fatawu remains constantly doubled up on and doesnt have to tool to break free from it. Goals have come from BDCR and Mukasa (although have been poor last few games). Personally would sacrifice a winger at the start of a game.
-
Was it - i thought it must have been close at the time but cant find a replay that shows that? And if it was surely we would make more of a fuss about it?
-
This one doesnt work when you are losing 1-3 to an out of form QPR.
-
I dont get this. We spent a lot of time playing out the back yesterday. Okoli and Nelson (and less so Hamza in the 2nd half) struggled badly. This didnt protect the defence - it puts them under pressure. Furthermore, we were playing a high line with the striker barely pressing. Again, this put the defence under pressure. I dont see how this setup is protecting the center backs. For the equaliser, they exploited our offside trap (i've still not seen a proper replay to see how close this was). In terms of limited flair, our players continue to play as if flair is their strength. Short dinky passes, step overs, passing around the box waiting for their 'quality' to break a team down, trying to cut in whilst being doubled up on to name just a few. So much of this can be nipped in the bud if the idea is to get back to basics. And in terms of a change limiting the chances we create - this is our fundamental problem in the first place. 0.2 XG 2nd half against a farmers team when we are chasing the game and 'fighting' to survive in both the Championship and as a club. How the heck can we justify setting up to create even less.
-
What was all the arguments after the equaliser. We had some one booked in the dugout but I couldn’t see who it was?
-
Me too, but its now clear nothing like that will happen.
-
Another manager. Largely same formation. Still picking Okoli even though he is the pits at passing. Daka dropped after scoring against Ipswich. Ayew picked even though the worst no 9 in history. Surely Rowett isn't picking this lot? So who is?
-
I sit in H1. In the first half he was making tackles and matching the wingers for pace in a way Riccy simply can't. Limited player for sure, but current Riccy is not an upgrade.
