Did you see him warm up? He barely moved. He was there to make the numbers up. Aluko would have played ahead of him.
-
Souttar cant play - especially up front.
-
Why do you think Tottenham deviated away from it. Connor Gallagher is reportedly on 200k a week. Ange in a recent interview was moaning that Spurs were not competing enough for the better players.

I think up until only a few months back Southampton were complaining bitterly about their ownership and decision making. The Will Still experiment went horribly wrong, but they clearly made a decision at the right time, but i cant help but feel they got lucky with their manager. But then, maybe we did with Maresca.

The goalkeeper is one of the more junior players. He didn't come here with a huge transfer fee and a massive monthly wage. Why did the 'senior' players not feel the need to face the media - have a pop at them instead.

It was a rhetorical question - i know what formation Leeds have been playing. I find it a little infuriating reading people say 'Justin has improved since he left' without understanding what is really going on. Last season in particular, he was massively exposed by our useless managers and our setup. He was asked to bomb up and down the wing all game long against the best the PL had to offer - next to Wout Faes / Okoli with little midfield protection. Everyone could see he was struggling - it was exhausting just to watch - there aren't many players who could have done it without severe burnout. But, in true Leicester style, we couldn't transition from that system and continued to expose him. I only remember Justin being a professional about it - and our fans rewarded him with video clips of all his mistakes. At Leeds, you will notice he's not bombing up and down the wings. Farke has adapted (maybe temporarily - he might still revert to form next season), and their shape protects the defence and they have numbers in midfield. Justin still gets forward when Leeds attack. But its a setup that suits him nowadays and helps him, certainly at this stage in his career. Our setup and formation (and recruitment around it) has been our downfall. Being completely unadaptable has meant that the opposition know exactly what they are going to get, and they know what weakness they can expose. Its so horribly obvious, yet for some reason, any suggestion of anything different falls on deaf ears. I can guarantee I will watch a very very poor Portsmouth side cut through our midfield as though we have children playing, exploiting where Riccy plays, doubling up on the wingers easily whist one of Daka or Ayew ambles about.

What formation did Leeds use out of interest?
-
They should put his head on a huge tv screen, like Holly from Red Dwarf.

Maybe they should put together a meeting with the senior players explaining what its like to win games. -

But who’s going to convince not to run on the pitch around the 85th minute? -
Doesn’t mean they are all spoilt brats though. Seems more like a sweeping generalisation.
-
Couldn't even put one of those away on Saturday. Fatawu tried to do the perfect curler rather than making sure it just went in.
-
Did this emergency meeting happen?
-
Why does he think the academy players are spoilt brats?
-
What makes me laugh, is that i agree our defence is our biggest issue. However, we have no midfield (Jordan James is great but he's an injury nightmare and he wont be here anyway next year), and we have no strikers.
-
That team beats the one out out against Swansea. But Nelson won’t be here.
-
So who are the ones who weren't listening yesterday then? Winks / Vestergaard and Ayew? All easily droppable.
-
No way Souttar was coming on yesterday. His warm up was the most pathetic display I have seen. I’ve taken more strenuous sh1ts.
-
The cynic in me also things that Mukasa's loan probably came with appearance guarantees as well, probably because we are obsessed with having someone from Man City at the club.
-
Did his captain, or vice captain, or one of the 'senior' pros come out?
-
I saw Bobby come on the pitch, presumably with instructions, and shout some stuff a Mukasa. Both Mukasa and i think Winks just shrugged their shoulders and clearly had no idea what the orders were. I would say that a big part of that 11 minutes were how those orders were given out.

Im not buying this 'hes a good manager' crap. 10 games in, and he has maintained relegation form with 1 win in a series of very, very winnable games. A lot of the teams we came against were bang out of form. Now - dont get me started on the players - the senior ones especially. But, Rowett has persisted with the same setup and he has rewarded the senior players. He has also persisted with having limited tactical changes and making like for like subs late on. Now he is complaining that they dont listen to him? Junior players (most noticeable Page) have been cast aside and important periods of their development pushed back. For a long, long time I have seen average teams cut through our midfield like a hot knife through butter. With this setup, it feels like we have no midfield at times. Swansea did it a few times yesterday, and then they scored being able to run up the pitch in numbers with very little pressure applied. Rowetts solution to this is to continue to play the same way. Many of our fans have a kind of Stockholm syndrome where we believe there is no other system that can be played. So yesterday, in a must win game, i am watching Vestergaard stand on the ball (and give it away in very dangerous positions), Riccy contribute nothing and look slow, Winks trying to boss the pitch and offering nothing (again!), Skipp looking ineffectual because he cant play with Winks and is not adaptable, the Wingers getting doubled up on (even though the opposition still maintain their shape), and us progress the ball a bit, and go sideways, then pass it back to Vestergaard. I watch a team without a midfield for most of the game. And don't get me started on Ayew's cameo. At this time Monga gets to join when the whole team have downed tools, Aluko watches an OAP amble around and wonders what he ever has to do to get a game, and Page is presumably playing Xbox at home. The manager is now pretending that he cant do anything about this??! Absolute fraud. I would have supported changing it and still going down. I would have supported looking more to the academy and see them go down fighting. I would have supported dropping Fatawu and Mavadi and moving them to impact subs. I would have supported never seeing Ayew or Winks play for this club again. The manager had no grit about him - he just tried to be a yes man and hoped that Winks would make that magic pass, that Daka would magically become consistent, that Riccy would find a yard of pace from somewhere and that Abdul would start scoring the worldies again. I've said it a few times, Rowett is a loser and will never achieve anything significant in the game. He's had 10 games (and a nice holiday in Portugal) to do something. He's gone backwards.
-
The biggest problem at the club is the one that handed him that power. It could be taken away in an instant, but it isn’t.
-
But we don’t know that right? Because we’ve never tried anything else.
-
Hes had 10 games. 5th from Bottom in the form guide and one win. GD of -3 in a supposedly improved defence. If this was the first 10 games of the season you would be calling for the sack. Get him gone tonight. He is USELESS! A draw specialist at best.
