We are on the same page. I would sooner be mid table playing more of the academy. But Nelson has become the go to argument to try and prove anything right now. I've been very vocal that a massive mistake has been building the team around Vestergaard, who has oddly become undroppable. This has meant 1 CB position remaining. We should drop Vestergaard, start Okoli / Nelson and use Faes for rotation (bin him off in Jan if we can and replace). Job done. But Vestergaard seems to be LCFC's Stockholm syndrome. No matter how shit he has been, and how much he disrespects the club, we seem to keep coming back for more at the expense of players like Nelson.

Here is the team who played Southampton 2 years ago when beat them 1-4 4 of the starters are still here (one of which is ******g Vestergaard). 5 of the subs are still here, 1 of which is Faes, 1 Hamza and 1 Daka. Its not the same team. And that bunch stank out most of the 2nd half of the season anyway.

I think we are drinking our own coolade here. There were transfer murmerings, but 'targeted' is hyperbole. If he's fit we should be playing him and developing him. BUT, i dont believe for one minute we would be top 6 right now if we were paying Nelson.

This doesn't really change anything - you move the problem slightly further forward. The whole body rule becomes the new normal and, and then when the attacker is a toe poke in front of the whole player we will be saying the same thing (not really gaining an advantage). I kind of think the current rule works now for this. This is one i feel should be adapted.

Im telling you now, Vestegaard is the problem. The fact that he appears on posters team selections when discussing 'changing things' boils my piss. Jannik can only play one way and slows everything down and EVERYTHING has to come through him. At least Faes can do a rotation job for us in different positions. Could you image asking Vesty to spend 20 mins of a game at left back? Start Okoli and Nelson and stop playing out from the CB. Let them grow and nurture, and use Faes and Aluko as rotation across the whole back line. Dump Vestergaard.

Freeze out Vestergaard - he is the problem. Start Okoli and Nelson and use Faes as a rotation option in specific roles. He looked better than both Thomas and VK at left back, and can see out a match if needed. Bring in Aluko and Page for sure. Dont think Evans is ready. STOP playing out the back and work on different drills to start attacks. I genuinely think if we didnt start a match with Vestergaard the opposition would be caught off guard. They know exactly how to play us with him in the team.

They dont need a points deduction. As much as it pains everyone to admit - they are even worse than us. The light for us is our academy and that we have some genuine class talent coming through. We all need to cling on to that.

The team (wrongly) is built around Vestergaard who dictates our attacks and overall style. Marti has made Vestergaards undroppable whilst we play like this. Saddens me out fans seem to not see through this and think hes our best defender. This means its either Okoli or Faes who take the 2nd spot. So he is 4th choice whilst Vesty is is undroppable.

Is there anyone with actual information as to what is going on here. Pre season, he featured in a lot of the social material the club output, so it felt like he was part of the overall plans. Featured in preseason, but not even talked about in interviews or anything. See him in the odd training clip. Was he at the game yesterday. I cant see from where i sit.

I actually think this is harsh, especially when you consider his transfer fee. He form is far too much linked to his confidence. When he was scoring he was over the top, and when its not working his shoulders drop and his head sinks. But, yesterday (not including the missed chance) he was better than Monga had been starting (the game arguably cried out for Monga to come on when we were 1-0 down). He was getting into good positions and had a good shot deflected and one saved. He should have done better with that 1 on 1 with the keeper, but it was a decent save. Like everywhere, it's not good enough and i don't think his head is at 50%, let alone anywhere near 80-90%. But I don't think he is Rancid at all.

I voted Skipp but was Souttar really 17m euros? Pains me to say it but with the lack of playing time, the injury and being frozen out for the entirety of our EPL promotion season, Souttar is probably the worst value out of that lot.

Yesterday he was gassed pretty quickly. All very well and good flying forward every time but when you can’t sustain it for longer than an hour and your lack of fitness contributes to a conceded goal, in struggling to care about the word engine. Makes me laugh that Thomas was hooked for being shite against Millwall and replaced with Faes. Then VK was hooked for being shit and replaced with Thomas. They are all as shit as each other.

Seems people are forgetting that these players stank the place out for a long part of Enzo's time here. The run in where we lost over a 10 point lead was horrific. This squad has been pants for some time now. We over achieved in the first half of Enzo's time - thats all.

He's dropped both Faes and Okoli over different spells. Obvs after Nelson, one of Faes, Okoli and Vestergaard have to play. I can't stress enough that i think Vestergaard is our biggest issues. Marti has build the team around him and the pace of how we attack is dictated by him. Today it was either Soumare or Skipp. Thats a pretty horrific choice and Marti didnt recruit either. Thomas has been horrible lately, but i thought he was marginally better than VK who is absolutely horrible at the moment. There's not a lot more he can do with the personnel he has got.

Actually, Vesty is a massive part of the problem and too many supporters are blind sided by it. He must be dropped. Ultra slow build up play gets us nowhere. We have literally built the team around Vestergaard. Bobby as a 10 makes sense until page comes back or Ramsey is fit. But it really highlights slim pickings right now.
