  1. It would make loads of sense to both clubs though. All being well Leicester would be hosting PL games of 30k people every week; meanwhile Forest would be able to stay in their current site long-term. We’re all adults - I don’t see why 30k Forest fans in Leicester every 2 weeks should be a problem once everyone’s got used to the idea
  2. Interesting discussions and plenty of emotion amongst our fans at the moment about us either moving stadium to Toton or (less likely) redeveloping the City Ground. Big problem with redevelopment is we’d need to ground share with someone for 2 years+ while it was done. Notts County is the obvious candidate but only has 19k capacity. I do remember Leicester borrowing the CG for a play off v Portsmouth once - do you think your owners would have us play at the KP on weeks when Leicester are away for a couple of years?
  3. Forest v Leicester in San Diego. The Californians would lap it up 😍
  4. Totally agree with this. Forest, Leicester, Stoke and others have super-wealthy owners who want to spend to make their clubs great again, but aren’t allowed to. Even if we stay up, we’ll have to sell MGW or Murillo by end of June. Villa might have to sell Watkins. Big historic Midlands clubs aren’t being allowed to compete with London and the NW It’s starting to create unusual alliances of opinions between fans of clubs that don’t usually like each other.
  5. This is getting interesting. Forest and Leicester have the same lawyer. You’re suing the EPL and EFL about what jurisdiction they have. Forest are challenging the 30th June deadline for sales. In the last week both clubs have publicly made the same argument about non-big clubs having the right to compete. This could keep getting escalated, and every aspect of the rules is getting legally challenged.
  6. Another East Midlands club has jumped the queue ahead of Man City, it seems guarantee your trial will be before theirs I’m no Leicester fan (obviously) but I have to say this stinks
  7. Before they do that they should be clear on what the point of any of this is If a billionaire wants to throw their money at Forest, Leicester, Everton or anyone else, why shouldn’t they? No club of any size has disappeared because of overspending. Derby, Leeds, Portsmouth and Bolton all went down a couple of divisions when their spending went wrong then regrouped and started making their way back up again. Get the ‘fit and proper owners’ test sorted by all means, but I don’t see why everyone outside the Tourist 6 should be forced to sell their best player every June
  8. we’ve been saying for years we need to emulate Leicester looks like we’re about to. FFS
  9. This article’s true but not new news. Like most clubs, Forest have to sell a big player every year to keep compliant. If we go down, we’ll have to sell 3-4 key players.
  10. he’s right Forest broke the rules and need punishing. he should challenge the rules themselves though, unless he’s just in thrall to the Tourist 6.
  11. We definitely won’t Yesterday’s response was theatre and bluster calculated to fire the fans up. The clubs website today just has a picture of the team underneath the headline ‘together’. They know an appeal won’t work, and they know most of the fanbase wants the club to sort the performances out instead of playing the victim all the time.
  12. We might hate each others’ guts but we’re in the same boat here. Medium sized clubs with the potential to have a few good years every so often. why TF shouldn’t investors be allowed to come in and help us have a go? we can’t be far away from a club suing in a Bosman-type case, claiming restraint of trade
  13. North West teams are going with ‘we’re not guilty’; East Midlands clubs are preferring ‘we’re guilty but we did our best’ 😬
  14. their charges are ‘too complicated’ to be assessed quickly. All 115 of them.
  15. I wonder if your lovely friends from up the A46 might have a punt on him again in January. Awoniyi is injured again and presumably Iheanacho might be quite cheap if his contract’s nearly up? of course we might be swapping divisions but if he gets an escape clause that could work
  16. All true, but this (London-based) tweeter also shows how patronising our press is to anyone outside London and Manchester. Forest show ambition and the press just greet it with sarcasm. Midlands teams aren’t allowed to do that - just like you weren’t meant to beat their precious Spurs to the title.
  17. we wouldn’t be that stupid. He’s even worse than our 3rd choice Hennessey. Ndidi might work for us. If anyone can get him back to where he was it’s Cooper. I know Iheanacho and Taiwo are big mates; Ndidi might be good friends with them both by the sound of it. Seems worth a punt
  18. that’s fair to be honest
  19. We do need someone to win the ball TBF. but we need someone to pass the f£&@ing thing as well - especially away from home, where we treat it like a hand grenade
  20. Would prefer Iheanacho from what I’ve seen (and read here)
  21. 👀 👀 👀
  22. sounds like he’s a bit of a risky buy if he’s been injured and off form. I’d be surprised if Forest go for him as we bought too many unconvincing midfielders last season. I think we’ll go for a clear upgrade or no one. also I think Iheanacho is off the table for us now we’ve got Elanga.
  23. No idea if true but would be great for us if so. Maybe Agent Taiwo tapped him up - they’re good mates and obviously play together for Nigeria.
  24. I went to Leeds with Forest the season they got promoted and I’m pretty sure it was £42. The match was on Sky as well.
