  2. You’re lucky to have Forest up the road We’re a charming, fair-minded and modest bunch, and I think this makes other teams’ fans seem worse in comparison
  3. Likewise 😃 Good fun and good for the area if we’re both in the Prem though
  4. Forest need to: - sign Spence or replace him - sign Garner or replace him - get a better left back/left wing back - get a decent striker - were short of options here - stick with Cooper whatever happens I’m reasonably optimistic we’ll do this as we have an excellent CEO who works well with Cooper on making sensible signings. It’s going to be tricky getting the balance right on transfers because we have to make sure we don’t overspend and endanger the club in the event of us going back down. We need to stay up for 1-2 seasons, then use Leicester and Wolves as the inspiration for our next step. Failing that we need to at least make sure we’re a yo-yo club for a while - with pockets too deep for us to stay down for long Looking forward to the leicester matches 👀
  5. Absolutely. We loved it, and great to dust off the songbook. You could see how much it meant to Worrall, Yates and Johnson who are all Forest lads. Today’s team only cost about £5m in transfer fees. Reminded me of the 4-0 also live on TV exactly 28 years ago today. Thought you looked ominous for the first 20 minutes but once we scored we were immense. I’d heard Tielemans was really good. He wasn’t. Would be great to be in the same division for a few years again.
  6. Fair enough. I’ll look out for the polite applause if you score a last minute winner
  7. Bit pompous. Fans spilling into the pitch after a goal from time to time is all part of the fun isn’t it? I thought the guy who slid across the penalty area on his knees after our goal against Derby was a legend. The CG has had a really good atmosphere this season.
  8. Yes we’re definitely less confident than a week ago At full strength and if we had a good day we’d have a chance, especially with Vardy out I believe? But with 2 central defenders and Grabban out - plus a very poor performance yesterday - an upset is far less likely Also I wonder if Cooper will give this priority now we’re on the fringes of the play offs - league matches now look a lot more important than 3 weeks ago. If this wasn’t a local derby we’d all be saying ‘write it off, play the kids’. but we want to beat the ‘dippers 😀 We shall see.
  9. We might be about to derail our season ourselves, by selling our best player Brennan Johnson. Hopefully not, but this will be a significantly easier game for you if we do.
  10. There’s a chance we’ll play a slightly weakened team as we’ve got an important game v Blackburn 3 days after this match. I can see Cooper leaving Grabban on the bench like he did v Arsenal, possibly even doing the same with Johnson. Something like 75pc of our goals this season have either been scored or assisted by those 2 so if we rest either it will make us much easier to play against If we’d been playing you under Hughton we’d have all been terrified that this would be a 5 or 6 goal hiding. You’re obviously still favourites but I think most of our fans are looking forward to the match, and actually quite relaxed about it. We’re not kidding ourselves that we’ll win the Cup, whereas we desperately want to get promoted. If we can spring a surprise, great. If not, hopefully we can at least make a good account of ourselves. I predict leicester will win 2-0.
  11. I think ‘like that you are doing well’ is stretching it a bit but the title win was quite a nice novelty, and it’s encouraging to see that a club that are a similar size to Forest can be up there. We’d all like Forest, Leicester and Derby to be in the Prem. The vast majority of us are charming, intelligent and handsome too - I agree with you there
  12. Hi. Forest fan here. Interesting reading all the comments. A Tricky Tree view on a couple of things: You’ll get about 4.3k tickets. No chance of 8k. 4.3k is the lower Bridgford End, minus probably a few empty seats between you and the Forest fans as this is obviously a high risk fixture. FWIW we see you as a main rival. Of course we do. Albeit our second rival behind Derby. We sing ‘we hate Derby County. We hate Leicester too’. We sing about Stevie Cooper ‘he hates the Leicester, he hates the Derby, Forest are magic’. Fans from Sutton Bonnington, Loughborough etc loathe Leicester. However a few of us liked it when you won the League, whereas we couldn’t have abided Derby achieving that. None of us would say we have any rivals other than Derby or Leicester. This is a big game and both sets of supporters and players know it. We haven’t played each other for ages and I think it will have the hottest atmosphere for a Forest-Leicester game since 1994 when both clubs got promoted.
