Just some basic rules for me: If i'm paying someone £50k a week to perform for me as an athlete to preserve the value of a c£300m value organisation. I'm having them living in whatever ****ing location i want them in and turn up in peak condition whenever asked. There are plenty of spots in the semi professional ranks which pay accordingly. If the player has just had a kid and/or are having tough personal times then they can have whatever flexibility they need. But, they certainly won't be being put into high pressured situations, if at that point, they need to prioritise their homelife and mental health more so than they do the best outcomes for the team.

I dont think an elite athlete wanting to win against other elite athletes should be travelling 200miles round trip a day to their training and games. shit mentality and approach.

Even when we were top of champo and passing brilliantly, I said along with loads of others that it was totally false as Vestergaard, Faes, Coady, Justin, Winks, Ndidi, KDH, Daka etc had all been proven to be low quality or waning premier league players and so we would need a total rebuild when securing promotion. If you add Vardy at 38, A waning Ayew and BDR, an injury to Hermansen/Ricardo/Fatawu and a waste of money on Skipp and you have a much worse squad than was relegated the previous time. Maybe its PSR exacerbating the issue, but its still a club asleep at the wheel or without the imagination or work ethic to unearth gems that can make a surprise package.
