Yeah i do like Okoli, but you can see why successive managers have entrusted experienced prem players with the task of defending like experienced premier league defenders. The issue you have is that they've got slow, unphysical holding midfielders screening them meaning they are pulled from pillar to post. You have to feel for Coady, Faes an Vestergaard in that respect in that they can't rely on crosses being blocked or runs being tracked / shots closed down. So they are constantly wary in three different directions at once. If Coulibaly can shore up the right flank and either Ndidi comes back / we bring in a better CDM, then some of our centre halves MIGHT stand a chance of tracking their own man more effectively. It's a big MIGHT, because they have been shown to have a brain fart in them per game regardless, but i don't think they've been given the best chance to succeed with the lack of support they get from the right and from the defensive midfield set up.

Zola won 6 trophies (not the league) playing at Chelsea.
-
maybe, but Khannous is young and on a long contract. Okoli and Coulibaly same. Selling the other 7 or 8 then allows you to make a decision on the others. Fatawu will be just back from ACL lay off so could potentially stay with us
-
Get the plan in place now: We will have a strong spine of Stola, Okoli/Vest, Winks. Ex factor in El-Khannous and Fatawu, and just need to add to that. Having a decent crop of youngsters will mean we can use them but not over rely on them. Having players like Ricardo, Vestergaard, Winks, Fatawu, Ayew arond the squad will mean we have players who know how it's done. Keep 20: Stolarcyk, Iversen, Nelson, Coulibaly, Ricardo, Okoli. Godsmark-Ford, Vestergaard, Joseph, Golding, Briggs, Alves, Monga, Cartwright, Winks, Skipp, Fatawu, El-Khannous, Ayew, Decordova-Reid Sell: Hermansen, Faes, Kristiansen, Ndidi, Daka, Mavididi - circa £70m in Release: Vardy. Bring In: new left sided defender, cdm and two strikers: circa £30m outlay
-
Buonanottes only real problem is how much he gives the ball away, but id still pick him
-
We can also then bring Coulibaly in v Fulham to stand a chance v Iwobi, Robinson, Traore etc
-
it has to be technotronic: Woyo, woyo-woyo, woyo-woyo, woyo COULIBALY! surely
-
the forest match alone should have had him with rhe u21s until now. a sideshow shitshow. get a new CB in and have Okoli, Vestergaard and Coady competing to go alongside him. And get Nelson back.
-
its the reason he didnt celebrate on Sunday against QPR. he knows he has been wank since he arrived and part kf a defence that has made enough mistakes to get us relegated twice. off you pop sideshow, and we will get a proper defender in.
-
theres only shit like choudhury and decordova reid ahead of him so id have him on the bench if hes slaying the u21s
-
Stick him in the first team like Nwaneri was at Arsenal. If hes that good get him on instead of the shitdonkeys clogging up the bench...
-
Have read the last 3 pages of the Parma Coulibaly chat. They say he's their quickest defender, is good going forward improved a lot in last 2 years, but has moments where he lacks concentration. I will take the physicality and pace as we have zero of that currently. The great passing an tactics can be done by somebody else...
-
they spent £30m on Lewis Hall from Chelsea, so Targett has taken a backseat. I remember him overlapping for fun when Villa bumped us out of the Carabao cup a few years ago.
-
is absolutely massive

Ruuuuuuuuudddddddddd
-
Stola Okoli Vestegaard Faes Winks Kristiansen Bouna Soumare Bilal Mavididi Vardy
-
his general defensive play was dreadful today. got done several times by Chair. hes not in the side for the odd 2 goals. still needs dropped.
-
watched 2 or 3 short videos. looks like he competes for the ball and is strong. Has quite a 1 trick, chop back inside which could get him in trouble in prem. Doesnt look too composed in his passing or crossing which is borne out in his lack of assists, but the main thing is he seems to block crosses which is our biggest issue at present so get him in. would still take kyle walker peters aswell.
-
i think some current players should change their names and have a bit of a glow up to create the feeling of some new signings to shake up the squad. Simples. Al Wilves - young shaven headed left winger. well though of U20 international plucked from obscurity. Masey Jacketeer - bleach blonde attacking midfielder, very strong championship showing for champions last year. Ned Belson - standout centre half - following in the footsteps of Matt Elliot at Oxford. Fout Waes - Crop haircutted Belgian hard man, no nonsense stopper who, when in doubt, takes man and ball out. Pacardo Riera - pacey, bearded right back, world beater before injury but will still do a job

they signed that 18 yo for shitloads -
totally agreed. but if we get a great opportunity to bring back someone who will galvanise the fans then we should take it. Drinkwater went to pot and ruined his career after fleeing the nest and this would in some way go to righting that wrong. It could have much bigger positive repercussions than just a decent player returning. Doesn't mean we don't need RB, RW, Striker, CB in that order.
-
everywhere is our concern. as soon as ndidi or winks get injured we have to play skipp, soumare, choudhury in holding midfield and are a joke shop
-
if Forest buy him, i'm going to drop out and support Harborough Town.
-
Agree pre contract with Chelsea for Hermansen. £40m in the Summer. Bring back Dewsbury Hall and loan for Giui in return. Latte Lath for £12m Kriatiansen for £15m Hermansen Kristiansen Vest Okoli Kristiansen Winks Ndidi Buona Dewsbury-Hall Bilal Vardy Mavididi, Latte Lath, Guiu, Alves, Faes, Coady, Justin, Ayew, Stola
-
they'll never expect it.
