I respect and learn from your knowledge of LCFC Mr Flair and ........ just deleted the dogs abuse i gave you for them crying smiley faces at the end, but left the respectful intro.......... the stats are fine..... but cant help it with the emojis.... i assume everyone is being a sarcy fooker
-
They are, but on TV atleast, that save was predestined. Big keeper, little Youri, everything was wrong. I think the gods are fuking with me, making everything obvious with LCFC and bolloxing me with regular life, cnutish gods, did you really not see it too?
-
you twisted my melon with the later parts.... a well deserved like given all the same

4 points of best of the rest. 4 points above the drop zone. 7 points behind Man U. Remain 6 points behind Newcastle if we do em twice......... but Chelsea and Man U now looking weakest of the elite? Europe still depends on who wins cups or not, even if we make 7th This was never meant to be a prediction thread Just a bit of balance for the less sarcy miserable fookers of the forum. The injury to Justin reflects how quickly it can all go tits up though I am not really discounting the likes of Brighton........ but a strong mid table can take points off the leaders too. I reckon it is still a goer

The last time I felt so negative about a premier league game penalty was when Vardy came on as sub, no touches, against Spurs. I knew, he knew, the keeper knew and I think you reading, knew, where he was going to put it. I think all 4 of us saw his placement map the other week, nothing to do with being psychic. Not got a problem with that as such, you can point where it is going if you hit it well enough. Question is, what will Youri do with the next penalty?

He did get booked. I thought is about right but now you mention it, I suspect Cags and others might have walked for the same. Not sure why I think that though, -

From memory Dawson's body may have been blocking the ref's view of feet and ball, so he was probably right, if in doubt, to let play go and rely on VAR. But yeah...... 1) Would love to have seen the 'linesman' frantically waving the flag like in the good old days...... prabably not allowed to now 2) Why did VAR take so long to alert the ref? West Ham nearly scored whilst they dithered, it was so obvious on a TV monitor. edit..... would have been a laugh if they had scored........ bit of potential damage to council property though -
I got that the article was pre Justin, it was the added 'desperately needed now' that interested me. ( wow, found the ') The club can only veto exits this January, it can't choose who goes to free up funds and FFP for planned signings. Maybe there are agreements and firm plans in place but it might be a case of making acceptable deals if and when they arise and forgetting about priorities. I still think that without injuries the squad has potential to be the best of the rest this season. Perez, Cags, U23's and others can play a positive part and cover injuries and suspensions Basically, I suspect that If no ones moves on or comes in this window, Castagne becomes our least replacable player. (edit, whether injured or covering on the left) Would playing 3 CBs and packing the midfield be a temporary solution if we lose yet more full backs?
-
I trust in your scouting of young left backs but I dont think it is the priority for this season. Castagne can cover the left if Luke is out but who can cover the right for Castagne? Albrighton at a pinch or shift Armartey and hope Evans and Faes stay fit? Have I missed something? Exactly, balances out the lob sided Barnes thing and allows a steadier covering back 3. Most of the critiques of Luke here suggest he better at defending than attacking, seems the logical tactic, bit suprised at all the discussion. It also means we are running Timmy on all cylinders though, more reason for a covering right back?

So many subjects...... to play up to.... As soneone who followed Enlland and the other month could not be arsed to tune into England vs Germany..... it is bit of the above and bad football..... I think...cus I rarely watch. It aint a badge of honour though. I am way less patriotic than in my youth but the poliyics part of your question will start a lively thread . shit.... game starting

End of 20 season I remember Big Wes and Ryan Bennet playing during Bournemouth collapse and after. If fit, he was unused 5th choice CB Spurs, end of 21, Mendy on for Fofana injury, Ndidi moved into back four and Amartey not trusted off the bench..... Shame because he looked pretty confident getting the yellow whilst also not playing the game before...... All ifs and buts but a little more trust in our 60,000 per week squad filler might have got us champions league...... Not the perfect defender but considering our ideal starters seem to get old, sold, injured or ignored......... I reckon we need him
-
Catch 22 If he is considered good enough for Belgium but not selected for lack of game time, he will probably want to leave. If he aint good enough for Belgium, get rid, we are big now, no room for non internationals. In reality it is up to him really, like Perez, we will probably be grateful to have him in the squad if and when Youri and Madders leave.
-
I got the feeling he would cut through their midfield and defence but for his ability to follow instructions. Him and Alves together....seen them play a total of 30 mins..... but predicting an FA cup winning goal combo, 2025
-
The worst part is the lack of cover for Castagne and Thomas, not Castagne and Thomas themselves. As for some opinions that Luke gets bullied...... play mendy or Braybooke as CDM so Luke looks bigger
-
Madders would one of be the most humble in the squad, genuine football lover too. I think he will see right through the prima donnas, apparently he prefers playing darts to watching them anyway.......his head wont be turned. Being a nice lad dont exclude you from having ambition and collecting money though. I suspect he is a legacy man, already has firm career plans which I doubt include sitting on a bench for a bit more money. I just hope he ends up a star at Real Madrid and not at Man U.....
-
Amartey too

So Barclays and Macquarie lend against guaranteed TV money...... if NBC default does the debt stay with them or revert to the clubs? I imagine the banks have it arranged in their favour.... NBC default, premier league collapses, the rich clubs cover any debts to the banks and form their own league and the rest of us are grateful to be playing in the Barclays British Leagues and watching from home on Macquarie NBC pay per view. and all Fofanas fault we get stuck in BBL 2 (EDIT. with the Celtic reserves)
-
true, the scenario depends on more than us becoming a good team again....though that part is promising. So Chelsea finishing 10th but Chillwell netting a winner in the FA cup final vs Man City robs our 7th place Euro spot, FFS Does the Maguire winner in the League cup against Arsenal give 8th place Man U our 6th place European spot or do we get to keep it?
-
I had seen that thread and guessed some smart arse might use it to take the piss. I have no proof but I thought of you.....probably cus you made a drug ha ha on me the other day. Reassures me that my speculations can have a logical base though Thoughts, no need for apologies. I dont think I was but crack and marijuana fumes do often enter my room. Not so reassured in my thought processes now... thanks a lot tom..... I doubt it too but the squad is capable of picking up form, the question is if we do, who of the front runners might drop off? What with that over dramatic relegation thread, deserves a bit of balance.
-
I just watched a confident, committed football team. I am asking one of the local witches to jinx Newcastle.... just in case.
-
Jamie Carragher compared him to Bobby Moore, well, one defensive recovery anyway. Looks like he is enjoying playing.
-
No, just reservibg a good seat in la-la land. Thrash Everton today and it will be booked out
-
I doubt it too but I looked back 50 pages and saw no dedicated european qualification thread for this season..... Assuming Chelsea and Liverpool pick up and casually writing off Brighton and Fulham...... Newcastle and Man U would be our targets. A double over Newcastle and we are just 6 points behind them. Mathamatically any team below 10th, even Forest, could do it. Realistically, Could we turn it around become the best of the rest? Just how good are Newcastle and Man U? Playing well and beating Everton today would give me some hope

I keep harping on about the 5 sub thing but in general the impact of attacking fresh legs for the last 20 minutes is lessened if the opposition has just refreshed and reorganised its defensive midfield. 2016 Vardy would have been a late terror but I see him more as a worker now. As others have said, but for poor finishing this season he could have had 5 or 6 goals....... he aint done yet. I agree that he has lost sustained pace and at 36 he should not be playing the lone striker for extended periods. He would still be a handful, if not a terror, as an impact sub. However, If I was boss I would try and utilize him for part of the game, well supported or in a partnership. I honestly think he would be better used starting in a partnership and grafting for 30 to 45 mins and using a sub or two to reorganise early. Even in an early straight swap with Daka, Daka would still be finishing the game with 30 to 45 minutes less running in his legs, still fresh as a daisy at the final whistle
