  1. Shame the fair play option has gone. You got me thinking about the US vs UK The Office pub quizes though Has the wife anglicized or anglicised you? UK the office pub quiz ........ shoe throwing please
  2. I never actually read the details of the casino saga so also did a google 90mins.com, did not give any details of his wild behaviour..... but I suppose it was like calling in sick for the night shift and then sitting in the beer garden of the next door pub with half a shandy. These two extracts...have not aged well, as they say Should the 22-year-old maintain his level of performances at club level, Southgate will likely have little choice but to include him in his next group. Leicester, meanwhile, currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League. Under Brendan Rodgers, the Foxes have established themselves as one of England's most exciting sides, and Maddison has certainly been key to that. Edit. having read more, more like being sent home sick for the week on the Monday and sitting in the beer garden with half a shandy on the Wednesday
  3. No 3 Not just about Jamie, we need to be rethinking the concept that starting games means playing 60 minutes or so. 2 subs is plenty to keep till the end to cover injuries or throw on the lamp posts. For example I liked the idea of Iversen starting occasional games with Kasper coming on second half or after conceding a goal, regardless of fault..... that got poo pooed. Anyways, bringing fresh legs on for the last 20 minutes loses some benefit when the opposition has just renewed its midfield and detense too. Why not be aggresive and put 2 players on for the 1st half, even 30 mins of hard work. The early changes in tactics might bugger up opposition game plans too In the Vardy scenario, Daka would still have 30 to 45 less minutes in his legs and finish stronger than if he had played the full 90.
  4. He still could have had 4 or 5 goals this season but for poor finishing by his standards..... lack of confidence I suspect. He mostly still gets to long balls but the spark is gone to race at the goal... it could be playing on his mind. As most are saying, he would be best off in a two. He could flourish as a fox in the box for another year or three. Get that finishing back and half the opposition defense will be tracking him again.... making space for others. It will require clever use of subs, whether starting for 45 mins of hard graft or coming on late, the team must be set up to compliment the chosen forwards.. The interchanging of Vards, Kelechi and Daka with the subsequent changes in midfield formations would make us less predictable too., make the opposition adapt to us. Wont happen as an integral tactic, should have started last season in my view. Might stumble on it by accident though
  5. my response accusing you of attacking people It appears we have had a miscommunication....again. To me that emoji is used a lot to express sarcasm and as both times you used it with me...... and also with other posters... it was accompanied with seemingly pendatic corrections, I took it as being abusive However, in light of your reply I thought I would sit up, type with 2 hands, compare my perception of crying smiley face with google and then reply in one 1st Urban Dictionary Cringy emoji that peasants use to pretend to laugh at something when in reality they are absolument not laughing and are fake as ****. Extremely cringy. 2nd, dictionary.com The emoji can help lighten tone. Writing for Scientific American in 2016, Krystal D’Costa explained: “Much in the same way the Like button helped to confirm status and connections, the tears of joy emoji can be connective.” Face with tears of joy, D’Costa continued, can show empathy, soften emotions, lighten remarks, and facilitate communication. While the face with tears of joy emoji generally has positive intent, it can also be used to mock or gloat over others’ misfortunes, as if laughing maniacally in their face. Well, even emoji lexicographers cant agree..... so what chance do 2 peasants like ourselves have to avoid mix ups? So Mr J.James, apologies for my confusion and thank you for for taking an interest in my posts, not many do.
  6. Why do you like to attack me people so much? Your habitual use of the laughing crying emoji coupled with your gramatcal prowess, is devastating
  7. I bet he is not not on the bus and I am damned sure the bus is not on him. I bet our players aint at no Novotel too
  8. yep ,just to clarify, generally. bank only members have no guaranteed hours, no sick pay and are payed at the lower grades. They get access to some in house training and holiday pay is included in the hourly rate. The benefit to staff is you is that you can choose your own availability and location preferences....but in reality those who are prepared to jump out of bed and run in to work anywhere get offered shifts first..... and can make good money, especially with unsocial hours Who knows how it is now though, probably got the bank staff sitting in the basement only geting paid when called to empty a bedpan, like Mcdonalds tried years ago. The trust benefits as it is cheaper than agencies, staff know the environment and better still, can be effectively sacked at anytime.. Regular staff doing extra shifts, the trust mostly avoids paying overtime........ and again pays at the lowest grade.... not so popular with contracted staff Not sure why you you think external companies proffiting is a good thing but maybe you have shares in BNA or similar? As for the foriegn nurses, that was the the main benefit of working all over the hospital in my fat days..... there was a perception of male nurses being gayish but believe me, i had much more sex working with Anna from Sweden and Milly from Thailand than I would have done in a warehouse working with Geordie and Jock.
  9. the wine i make..... made, as the price of sugar soared, induced a little moan. i wrote pure facts, delerium would be a blessing
  10. Have not read this thread for a while and really am not here for a dick measuring contest...... but another perspective just signed a 3 year installment plan for a new water meter cus i aint got the equivilant of 50 quid to pay for the new meter in one.... the 20 quid labour charge will be on the next bill tough. Concreted it in one but if certain individuals of the homeless outside saw the replacement..... they will be digging the meter out tonight while the mix is still soft. was going to writet more about food but an urgent soup matter has arisen.... maybe another time edit. she did not bring the ginger for the soup but it was ok tasting anyway, however defeats the purpose of an flu remedy, which as an anti vaxer, i would have thought she would hsave been well into the natural cure thing
  11. Whilst I am here, a Ukraine Youtuber said there is a new Prime Minister........ that is 3 or 4 in the last few weeks, right? I bet this thread is bulging with uproars but trust me, it is all economy driven, left or right, nowt worth getting your knickers in a twist about. My new president might legalise street cocaine, now that is uproarable
  12. I earned pretty well working for the NHS, a few years back mind you. 50 to 70 hours a week on internal agency filling in the staffing gaps, I was popular cus I was never sick , ran like KDH and like him, probably never killed anyone by negligence.. In regards to food, I was a chubby Youri, canteen English breakfasts and post work beers and kebab, double portions of both if i finished early. Often worked through diner and lunch breaks though, so had to make do picking at leftover (unserved) patient meals. An endless supply of meat, veg and puddings....... though secretly, one ward sister was known to call the police if staff stole the waste. That NHS staff need foodbanks now, so sad, them days were my fattest times
  13. City doctors.......... Pep listens to our medical team more than Brendan does? I am with you here though, It aint so pervese to want to see two cult heroes go head to head My money is on Amartey.snuffing out Haaland. On a side note, Manchester to with a Mahrez penalty hatrick.
  14. I had my worst stream since waiting 5 minutes for a frozen Kelechi to put in ball in (or not) against Brighton in the FA Cup. I saw that run though, sort off, looked like he waltzed by 3 players before giving the ball away? Not an ideal habit but If it is an indication of how he plays when confident....... let him loose as a CAM on Madders days off?
  15. i forgot about him.... then there is an excuse not to start kelechi in a front 2...... sigh
  16. a front 2 with kelechi........ no exuses not to now..... the season starts
  17. 6.30 am kick off which means my internet should be good..... bollox. We still have good players and it could click tomorrow but we are easy to predict. Even if we win I suspect it will be a false dawn. If Evans is out Cags and Iversen please, dont care if they aint good enough, i want to be entertained
  18. Is this the Zaha/Eduoard revenge goal mime?
  19. Dont you worry the Palace Ultras will turn him? How old is he? Maybe wait for Millwall away next year, good basic training for US political gatherings.
  20. My serious question is just how stable is the political situation in Thailand? Whilst there are worse regime backed owners in sports, the elephant in the room is that King Power is or was close to the Royal family.... it is in the name. Can you imagine the uproar if Liverpool had been aquired by an associate of her late majesty and Anfield called or sponsered by Queen Power? Whatever we may think about our Royalty, Thailand works in multiples.......... BANGKOK, Sept 12 (Reuters) - A Thai court sentenced a political activist to two years in prison on Monday for insulting the monarchy, her lawyer said, after the activist was judged to have dressed as Queen Suthida during a street protest the court ruled mocked the royal family. I know there are threads and comments on this but in general we dont seem to talk about it much. It is a genuine question as I only browse much of the international news (the best way to get incomplete information) but if King Power are worried about a political backlash, there really might not be any more money.
  21. this and did all your football science just pop up out of nothing?
  22. Not sure I trust your figures but if true, then some of the previous answers just became possibly true
  23. Haaland, I've been watching a lot of players, let's take for example the run in behind the centre-back when the No 10 has the ball. You have maybe the best in the world at that, Jamie Vardy. I've been looking a lot at him on exactly this. Virgil Van Dijk, “He was very quick, very aggressive, very direct. A bit like how Jamie Vardy plays, but Haaland is a little bit stronger than Vardy.” At least a Vardy connoisseur gets the record and also Daka wont feel guilty breaking it later. Will he even play 11 consecutive club league games or will he have to make do with the lesser consecutive games played record? Didnt Vardy go about 8 games without scoring after the 11 and the media barely mentioned it, Haaland might not get that leeway.
  24. We lost 4 to 1 the other year if I remember correctly, that is a two goal improvement, not bad
