You seem well up on this subject...... but to me negotiation right now would be the most ominous, That would just allow Russia to prepare for later escalation. I suspect thoseTV personalities are relaying planned policy directly from Putin to influence the masses. I doubt they will execute the generals, as one called for, but it passes the blame and allows Putin to show a bit of public mercy to said generals...... or shoot them

I find the costumes look plastic and the backdrops, though pretty, are disconnected to the actors. Like a stage play with painted scenic curtains. I know, most blue screen and CG graphics are like that. It did not bother me in the LOTR trlogy and it was perhaps more obvious for switching between real and CG backdrops. Perhaps it is the acting and dialogue that makes me think of a play? EDIT I like like House of the Dragon, no idea which has the technically better visuals, just flows better Double EDIT watched them last night, It is the ROP acting that reminds me of the theatre or pantomine, some bits are OK but I keep expecting Kirk Douglas to turn up in Roman attire and talk to god. Really Into the Targaryens..... though to be fair, I woud have been seething if Galadriel was coupling with her uncle.

the Derby lot had a bit of a chat but not as dry and sarcastic as Coalville...... -
TBF on King Charles, there was nothing worse than someone trying to record me giving their granny an enema. However, cant help but think Prince Phillip would have made the same action look cute

Years since I was in the looking after sick people business and i did not know all my onions then..... but Long Covid is obscure and should not distract people from seeking other reasons for cited symptons. Anxiety, cardiac arrythmias, alcoholism and various metabolic stuff for examples . EDiT even early dementia There is always the possibility that one is paraniod or justifying malaise with a long Covid tag, however, there has only ever been one proven case of this and Bertrands disease is associated to knee injury. If it persists, ask the doc for a proper check up, dont specify a test for Bertrands disease and dont take Long Covid for an answer without proof.....

Antibiotics - how !ong will I feel like crap for?

Consultants and their teams often modify medicines, routes and dosages on hospital rounds due to individual rections and test results. Your GP or an outpatient clinic might not have those resources..... or desire... to monitor so closely. People often claim allergies to Metronizadole due to previous side effects but it is usually not an allergy..... sometimes it is just a case of taking your medicine. There is the possibility that the infection is worsening and that is what is doing for you, not the met. Either way, if you feel like shit ask the clinic or GP for a review and specifically to check infection markers- A good GP should be doing that anyway....... but you are at the helm mate, make a fuss EDIT... meant to say that Metronizadole and alcohol is the original sin..... i believe it was the inspiration for the antibuse regime...... so cut any evening sherry -

I imagine that he would be an inspiring comrade in arms..... but teamwork.....I think it was Dennis Rofe who said the players sometimes did not understand his pitch side instructions -
it seems not..... He too must be aware he is not at his best.... what a state we are in.

I am on 3 staples and rationing 2 of them for price rises.... it inspires me though, the hope that one day I will be able to afford a full on breakfast. Not watching him eat bacon was the most frustrating. -
Whatever opinion on the Royal family people might have, we have lost probably the most experienced statesperson in the world at a time we get an inexperienced prime minister and a potential 3rd world war. I am not saying that Queen Lizzy would have solved everything but she would have supported Liz Truss ... every little counts. WTF can Charles say to her in the weekly meetings? She lived a dedicated life.and is possibly our last significant monarch.

I watch BeardMeetsFood doing food challenges, mainly US and UK. I found the customers in the Leicester(shire) cafes to be funnier than most. Some of the comments in the Coalville one.... some thought he was in the wild west or similar. Coalville..... Wigston

Kasper... Is it time to go?
He aint bald replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought it was the rule of two, a master amd an apprentice. Kasper getting out before Iversen ousted him. Turns out that Ward was the real apprentice all along. Hope for episode 10 and Jar Jar Binks then -
How badly does Leicester City affect you?

I had a swizz guy moan at me for ruining Inler, not so bad, you might get skewered in Turkey over Cags Shame, similar with me but with occasional robbing of power and internet cables which take a week to a month to replace...... at my cost... The horrible football is actually more depressing to me now than when I was paying yearly fortunes actually following the city, least you get a day out and a few beers...... Have asked before, anyone remenber the bloke who sulked up a lamp post or was it a 70s urban myth? -
I assume that means there is a new Prime Minister. Amazing what you can learn in the Brendan thread. Will be back next year for another political update
-
Totally agree but would still prefer vardy working a partnership with Kelechi first half and the younger Daka being given a proper go in the 2nd half where he might finish the game up top all alone. If Daka clicks and earns the right to start, Vardy could become the last 20 minutes fresh legs option.
-
Barnes might be considered more of an attacker than midfielder. 2 up front, Barnes and Madders advanced does a whole in midfield. However, 2 up front, Madders, Ndidi (proper CDM again), KDH and another grafter either side could work. A bit unfair on Barnes.... but it is the Daka thread.

Or he was reading Foxestalk last season? Kasper probably knew his time was coming New 3 year contract would have looked great if he was assuming he would be phased out by Iversen this year. Must feel a right plonker sat on the beach now knowing Iversen is in the naughty corner
-
Huth EDIT forgot, managers need badges...so a badged person and Huth
-
Should never have stated a No 1, both could have been given games. Or is Iversen behind the bike shed fagging it with Cags during training?
-
Not sure about Vardy as an impact sub, he works over time for his chances and often gets few touches. I am repeating myself but let the three build up partnerships playing 2 up front. Occasional half time changes and the now faster Daka to finish the game, especially if we pack midfield or defense at 70 mins EDIt I am one of those that thinks Vardy could still be our best striker if given support....could be wrong but a run of games playing all 3 would clarify things a bit
-
We know Vardy and Kelechi can play well together We know Vardy is getting older and we thought Daka was his replacement. Perhaps use one of the 5 subs to give Vardy and Daka 45 minutes each......alongside Kelechi But if Kelechi gets taken off for a defender at 70 minutes.... perhaps not much potential flourishing time in the 2nd half.... ? Whatever, 2 up front please.....
-
Was that a pun? Either way, whoever plays will get plenty of shots. Shame that Ward has been declared as the NO 1 (I read), now playing Iversen becomes a bigger thing with increased pressure. What a balls up.

How come I can (allegedly) dowload 5 GB of a TV show in 10 minutes but (in theory) all the City games buffer? Anyways, as the skulker thread is dead I reckon episode 2 is worth a watch despite agreeing that Amazon have wasted an opportunity Just wanted to add a cross general chat comment....... It was a teacher, Mr Fell, who recommended the Lord of The Rings to me...... the same man who threatened to relegate me to the then caneless Mr Majitis class......

Just watched the first episode,Rings of Power, no detailed spoilers Much of it was like watching ham shakespearian acting on a stage with scenic back drops, no idea how they could spend 57 million on that? The hero action scenes were too Marvel Avengers, also dont remember elves being capable of punching through walls of ice....... Suppossed character deviations not obvious to me as didnt read the Silmarillion ...... It would have been a nice enough general fantasy show..... but I feel it was a soft opener, still dont trust where its going. I trust Amazon in this only a fraction more than you probably trust someone who tells you not to worry about climate change because the rapture will be here soon
