It's not easy to get rid of them. The club is rotten to the core. These players can sit on their contracts and do more damage if they're asked to leave. It's the exact opposite of what we're experiencing as Leicester the last 8 years or so. For example Mahrez forced an exodus. Rashford and the £80M gold defender will have no problem to sit on their contracts if they're asked to leave.

It's Conceicao according to some Portuguese sources. Which unfortunately will make them a tougher team next season. Rashford and all soft primadonnas will be gone by summer and replaced by proper aggressive "thugs". Conceicao will bring the Atletico model.
-
Conceicao was already contacted. He'll probably accept the job.

I said a few weeks ago both Man Utd and us will not have ETH and Cooper for our cup game. Come on Top. Wake up and sack him. Or just make the biggest troll move ever. Sack Cooper and appoint ETH tonight.

Realistic managerial replacements?

Yes. I'm certain they have behaviour guidelines from the board and management. -
Surely ETH is getting sacked in the morning. No way they're keeping him in the job after spending hundreds of millions to be 2pts above us. I would say the same about Ange but it's just Spurs. A nothing team, playing for nothing, achieving nothing. It doesn't matter who's in charge there.

Spurs are a joke. If there's a team in the planet that shouldn't even exist is Spurs. They'll never win anything, nobody likes them (even their fans). Wrexham is more likely to win a trophy than Spurs.

I'm positive for Conceicao but there's no way our board will appoint a Simeone style manager. For years now our players don't even argue with refs. This is a board policy and our players are instructed from the higher hierarchy to behave in a certain way. Conceicao, like Simeone, has no problem to order the players to get more yellow cards as an aggressive tactic. -
It's going to be hilarious if BR manages to lose the title to Aberdeen. He'll probably go to Shamrock Rovers next season to win another title. Or somewhere in Luxembourg.

Realistic managerial replacements?

What happened 8yrs ago was a once in a lifetime event and football has changed since then (for the worse). I'm not saying Sarri is a bad manager but he's not the answer if our board has any ambition to build a competitive team. If we're just looking for someone to save this season then yes Sarri might be a decent option. But there are some good managers out there now which can both save the season and prepare a long term project. I also believe we need a feisty manager. I personally had enough with all the soft managers we appoint. No passion in the sideline and no passion in the pitch. -

Yeah let's offer the job to football dinosaurs which are near retirement age. Most teams in Europe that are doing well right now have relatively young managers. -

There are rumours he was very positive about the job but nobody from our board contacted him. He's not going to leave Lens now. -
Realistic managerial replacements?

Yes. We should also check the local manager of Anchorage United in Alaska and I've also seen a guy doing well in Mongolia with some primitive tactics. -
Draws won't help. They need wins. At least these draws keep everyone around involved.
-
It's just a matter of studying tactics, being in my late 40s and having thousands of hours in Championship Manager since September 1992. Come on Top. Sack Cooper.
-
Not worried. It's going to be a 2-2 or 3-2. I also don't think Ipswich will go down eventually. There are worse teams out there.
-
They won't. Was he expected to win today's game? They could have sacked him last week and try to get a surprise result today with a new manager.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
Fear Of The Fox replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
And...they won. 😬 In other news, Leeds won't go up after all these draws. 5 draws are already a lot for Championship. In this league it's better to have W-L on a run of games without draws. -
Cooper had the biggest opportunity of his career to turn the tides. 2 winnable games (Forest and Ipswich), 6pts and the season was 90% done and dusted. He failed to even have the players focused and aggressive on the local derby. He failed because he isn't a manager or a coach. He's a nobody like Rooney. That said, someone like Cooper must have some important connections with the elite to be a manager in high level football.

Realistic managerial replacements?

Yes, if you had a lot these magic coconut rolls. Other side affects include suggesting Moyes as a replacement manager. -
First of all, we're not going down because there are teams equally or worse than us. This isn't though the issue to focus on right now. The problem is since the beginning of the season this nonsense appointment of someone who declared himself a football manager. Alright then, I identify myself also as an elite football manager, why don't you hire me Top? Secondly, I don't expect good defending in football nowadays. The majority of the defenders worldwide are brainless with very low intelligence and football IQ. Even Bayern has 4 or them who are absolute frauds. What I do expect though is a manager that knows about this and deploys certain tactics to mitigate these issues. In the contrary we have another brain dead individual who is earning millions to do absolutely NOTHING tactically. I don't mind losing to the "Heroin" team, I just want a passionate manager who knows about football. Sack him now and he can go back cleaning the ships of Marinakis.
-
Bayern are crap. It was nonsense signing Kane and more nonsense appointing Kompany. Add to all the above the fact their defense is a joke. Their board decisions are shocking the last couple years. They probably thought they'll continue for another decade on autopilot. Kane can score a 1000 goals but he drags the whole team down. This guy is a professional loser. In other news Haaland had a new firmware update.

Sunday league goalkeeping. Or Wardish.

It is hilarious. If I was the owner of Wolves I would just go out to record a video of Wolves rival fans explaining it and send it to FA.
