What’s the other option mate 😜
-
History is being extremely kind to Dean Smith. I think he was tactically a dinosaur and his saving grace was the “what if?” in relation to him having more time. Look at the difference in clear style/Philosophy compared to Enzo and Cooper/Smith….you could see in pre-season under Enzo our patterns of play, how we were set up to defend/attack etc. I’m not naive and Enzo’s stubbornness can’t be ignored but there is a reason Chelsea came calling for him and Cooper would only get a sniff there as an academy coach.

Just (re) listened to his post match presser. How he can suggest Abdul for Stephy on the left is a like for like change is both moronic and concerning. He’s Dean Smith Mk2, he had a good spell at a particular club so their fans have fond memories but neither club would take them back.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ok, so as a squad player will his involvement likely do enough to keep us up? Does he offer any resale for our ever growing PSR fears? Take McAteer as an example, I don’t think he is cut out for the PL BUT how will I know when any minutes he may have had coming off the bench will now likely not happen due to him and Reid clogging up our 18. I like your posts and you often deliberately comment against others but please re-read my post, a 33 year old Ayew does not improve our starting 11. -
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Almost as if all of his obvious flaws that fans raised on here before he signed weren’t red flags? He’s a 33 year old, average (at best) bottom 6 PL side winger with minimal goal involvement in his career. How him and Reid will now clog up our squad in their twilights of their careers and likely at the expense of our academy players is a crime. -
But he wins countless fouls 👀
-
Close the thread…..the Rudkin supporters will just say you’re a clown/bed wetter for even suggesting that Cooper is an awful manager.
-
Wasn’t Bilal praised by Genk fans for his pressing?? 🤔

Tom Cannon - loan to Stoke City - Official
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Surely we’re not writing off Cannon from last nights game? I’ve been OTT when comes to all things Leicester but even I see the madness in writing him off so early into his Stoke loan. -
A great post to be fair mate. I think the recent bias of how well Ricky played last season in the Championship though is still fresh on a lot of our minds. JJ hasn’t had the best start so seeing Ricky come in is a good option to have.
-
I seriously HATE this rhetoric. Nothing to do with his dreadful PL win ratio as a manager? Or with his apparent obsession with “PL experience” which has seen 2 of our attacking options come in at the twilight of their distinctly average careers most likely on a big wedge. How about his lack of game management from his time here or the comments from Forest fans “did he throw on another CB to defend a lead”. The list goes on, I didn’t want Cooper and he has done nothing to make me think I was wrong to begin with.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
SafewayFox replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Another great pod. As for Cooper’s record…hideous and it’s a criminal offence that our board/Rudkin who ever….don’t know that managers exist outside of England. Imagine how many managers were available in the summer that didn’t have PL experience but have better records than 12 wins in 59 top flight matches? -
2-2 Palace, A Post Match Thread
SafewayFox replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ok, I’ll bite. Let’s say you’re right with Hamza for a high pressing but technically challenged high 8, sadly Hamza just looked clueless and whether that was due to everyone else being shattered or him not knowing the trigger when to press…in hindsight it didn’t work and only compounds the memo, Hamza isn’t PL quality. As for the Coady sub, he changed shape and effectively wanted to “hit them on the counter” with an aging and knackered 37 year old Vardy and Fatawu. If he brought on Bilal or Facundo as a like for like, we’d have actually offered an outlet. Whether the Cooper fans can admit it or not, we effectively gave Palace the initiative to consistently attack a defence that hasn’t shown up for being particularly great at defending. -
2-2 Palace, A Post Match Thread
SafewayFox replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Everton being 2-0 up makes this result even more damning. -
Like someone else posted…..we could have made 2 more changes rather than these ridiculous single subs. Hamza as the 10 was always going to end up with us forfeiting possession and offering zero threat going forward.
-
Or he made more Sunday league level decisions. You can’t say that wasn’t the most obvious outcome when he reacted 1) too slowly (Ayew couldn’t move) and 2) negatively.
-
That is on Cooper. Invited pressure with the most negative possible substitutions that a manager can make. Vardy isolated and zero outlets to stop it turning into a defence vs attack training session.
-
Subs please. The wing backs are clearly getting forward so would love to give them something to think about with Abdul.
-
A much more mobile player than Winks. Can see us fans liking him as a player a lot.
-
I know I say Faes isn’t that quick but why do commentators go more extreme. Pretty confident we’re not playing deep because of Faes.

@Unabomber I said it would be a matter of time and seen a few posts like this. Ndidi is washed up and has the first touch of a baby elephant…..he looked ok as an 8 in the Championship when next to KDH but to expect him to do it in the Prem is madness.
-
There will be though…..I’ve seen people referred to as clowns, drama queens etc for commenting on their numerous doubts about Cooper.
-
How can anyone defend that monstrosity of a starting 11?
-
The players that Cooper seems to have pushed for. I don’t think anyone is expecting us to get into Europe but this mantra that our squad isn’t good enough to survive is nonsense. We lack goals, I’ll admit that straight off the bat but that’s made even harder when you play Ndidi as a high 8/10. We have better/similar squads to Southampton, Ipswich, Everton, Bournemouth and Brentford at least.
