Wilfred Ndidi has a £9m release clause (no current rumour)

It'd be amazing business. And therefore unlikely. -

It's a great starting point to negotiate down from. -

Bare in mind we supposedly got offers of 10 for Kasey, 5 for Thomas, got 10 for Cannon and Wilder fancies Hamza. There's enough idiots out there. And we should know... -
Also presumably the higher value of those saleable assets isn't as big a gulf as you'd think given it was used to balance books rather than add to the transfer kitty.

In fairness, Youri came to us under Puel. Rodgers can't really be credited with him despite YT only becoming permanent during his tenure.

Players that can (largely) only win the ball though are a throw back. You're the target of the press and often become the weak link because of it.

Would be awesome if the VK and Daka to Everton rumours were true. Saying that, Moyes has made Beto look alright, so maybe can work something with Daka so he's not so tragic. Hopefully that's their thinking.

You wouldn't be surprised however to see that no player signs a contract with those kinds of stipulations in them. I think there's a massively naive sentiment here where as fans you're wanting to weight everything in the clubs favour, but in reality it's not a working system. At Champ level, in the player pool we'll be fishing in, we have a massive upside. Talk of wage limits are fine because even at the suggested limits here you're still talking about top earners in the division. Step up and what do you do? Offer championship contracts? Up your numbers? Because now you're no longer the big fish. You aren't the draw on size, you aren't the draw you were. You're now in competition with bigger clubs with bigger spending limits, so how do you draw those targets in if there's competition from other clubs? So do you miss out on players and go down because you haven't improved? There is no rigid system that works. It has to be flexible. Much lauded Brighton have bought cheap from South America and sold big. But they signed Rutter for 40mill, totally contrary to their normal business, and he's proved a success. Ultimately the finances aren't the biggest issue. It's the identification of talent. Signing shit on high wages with big fees is of course bad, but signing shit at any price is bad. We need our strike rate to improve. I'd sooner sign good players on excessive contracts than poor players for peanuts. I suppose it depends who we see ourselves competing with for signings. We've struggled with signings every time there's been a step up in status and trying to level up. We've lost our established tag now, so we're back to 20 years ago!

So the plan is to buy our own youth players with illegal payments now. Bargain.

... Concede stupid goals.... .... Ensure clean sheets for the opposition... ..... Ok, got it.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
JimJams replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Why do people think there's some sort of convoluted plan behind what Ruud is doing now we've been relegated? He had no fxxking clue before then on what to do, why has it suddenly changed to becoming "a message"? -
Bilal had no runners, no options, no chance.
-

Brentford had Benrahma, Watkins and Mbeumo. Then got Toney in for Watkins.
-
I never saw what Martins system provided at the top end of the pitch. In the Premier league I never saw what it provided in the middle of it either. 200 passes around the back until someone loses it to give the opponent a scoring chance seemed to be the mantra.
-
If he stays we should probably just use him in the mid. But we should absolutely let him go if the opportunity presents itself.
-
He's also an LW so you're getting in someone where we have Mav, Alves, Monga(!), maybe even stuck with Reid and Ayew. If we're being honest we all know big Jordan is starting up front next season.
-
We couldn't be lucky enough to offload him (Soumare) to an overspending Saudi club could we? Nah.
-
Not that it evens matters really, but Ange cannot sort out a defence to save his life. He's awful. Could end up the only manager we have a positive points advantage over from 2 games this season.
-
Or like, the Edouard one.

Absolute myth. The only thing it has in terms of demand over the Premier league is number of games. The games themselves are far more demanding in the Premier league than the championship as our last few seasons suggest. We got all this last time we were relegated about how much more physical the championship was and yet total weaklings like Winks did fine. Premier league players are fitter, stronger, faster. The game is quicker, more intense, more demanding. Is the premise that the less talented players just kick the shit out of you? Edit: seems this was remarked upon in the post following yours. But I couldn't help myself John. I was seething lad, absolutely raging I was. Edit 2: kin hell Bradger even used Winks as the example. Seething again.

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
JimJams replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We'll sell Faes, Nelson starts with Okoli, Vesty and Coady stay because Souttar is unavailable. January we get to turf one out. There's no point selling Nelson as we'd need to buy a replacement. Unless we dive back in for Mbemba on a free. -
So they'll meet in the middle then and go for Marsch!

The same Bologna that took VK on loan for a season, qualified for CL football and then decided they wanted to renegotiate the fee. Awesome. Look forward to them winning Serie A and then asking if they can have him for £70 and a nice pair of loafers.
