Nobody's conceded yet, so it's nothing like watching one of our matches.
-
Fair enough. The reason the comparisons are with Man City is because they are (one of) the clubs we are having to compete with to keep the player. If it was a Palace, West Ham, it might not be as much of an issue.
-
Ok, but that's not relevant to the player. "We were shit at something 20 years ago, in the last 10 years we got better" It's not exactly selling it. If it's Man City we're up against they've recently brought through Foden, Bobb, McAtee and Lewis as first team players. Not to mention the swathes of players they sold or loaned out to other good clubs. It might be interesting, but again, not largely relevant. We're not going to lose him to a premier league club of our size.
-
You think that's going to be relevant when convincing a player that wasn't even born in the beginning of that timeframe?

And donkeys at the back...

Yeah when they got rid of Martin. -
I should imagine to a degree a lot of the sorts of clauses many of us have mentioned would actually be illegal as you're restricting the freedom of movement to somebody who isn't even old enough to sign a contract. I think you're just going to have to accept that this is how it goes. And Mongas career trajectory, should he leave us, will be incredibly important to the future of our academy. If Nyoni nad Monga establish themselves at the top end of the game, they'll solidify the idea of moving to the elite clubs at a young age as being the best course of action. If they do fxxk all and fade into obscurity whilst we keep, develop and bring through other young players like Evans into the side, then it'll make a case for players to stick with us. We need consistent examples of players that can break into the team and make names for themselves, equally we'll lose a few who will go on to bigger and better or go into obscurity, but at present the examples of young players, under 21, are scant.

No but he got a move to Chelsea off the back of being a highly rated prospect at Man City. Like Sancho to Dortmund. I think when you get the chance to move to one of the bigger clubs you generally just take it. Then you''re moving in those circles even if you don't play for them.

We are pissing this...

Monga replacement?
-
Well we'll still have a chance I suppose. But it'd mean offering him more than Citeh will be offering plus first team assurances. Bit much for a 15 year old innit?
-
He didn't bet. He had friends and family bet on him getting booked, and he'd duly oblige. I'd be pissed if I were a bettor who had lost bets due to his actions.

Alves misses out again. How bad is his injury?
-
It is, but it's not his first suspension for violent conduct.
-
Quite funny though that now Amorim actually has a worse record at Man Utd than Neville did at Valencia. He should be milking that cow until it's deader than the economy.

Suzuki make trains? Indeed they do!

After slinking out of a points deduction ourselves, it would be the biggest kick in the bollocks if Man City were to get an unprecedented relegation worthy points deduction only for us to finish in bloody 19th. Imagine getting relegated when you ONLY had to be better than the 2 teams that came up BEHIND you.

Ok so here's next seasons squad sponsored by Yoyo Sushi... Getting almost anybody we can get some money for and/or only having a year left on their contracts, as well as bringing in a few players. So Ward and Iversen are out. I've put Epolo from St.Liege in there cos his contract runs out, but they have an option on him so might not be a go, but whatever, it's GK depth... At fullback Thomas and JJ both have 1 year left, so get them out the door if possible. VK sell or loan again. Just get him out. Amass on a loan. Williams is free, so cheap cover. Which is the name of the game in this squad. Centreback. Faes. Out. Don't care if it's for 10pence, even that's a bonus. Souttar, whilst he's done well in the champ this season, personally feel that he'll end up a similar story to our current centrebacks. Decent in the champ, not good enough above. If Sheff Utd want to throw some money our way I'd definitely take it. Mbemba is out of contract. We've shown interest in January. We should get him if we can. Vesty we won't be able to shift. Okoli, still haven't given up on him, but he's got no real market value like Souttar has now, so we'll probably keep him. Don't mind keeping either of Souttar or Okoli, but probably not both, unless we play a back 3. Otherwise you've got a defender sitting on the bench worth about £10mill, so it's a waste. Midfield. Keep Bilal. Get Hackney in from Boro if it's possible. Good all round midfielder. Predominantly DM but has all the attributes to play all over. Just what we need. I've put Golding just cos I want us to get rid of the old lot. Soumare has a year left and so should be sold. Spurs boys as back up. Alves can cover multiple attacking positions including Bilal if needed. Wilf, cash in if you can. If not, straight back in for Golding. Fatawu, love him, starts. Poku for free as cover. Richard Kone. Good goals record in League 1. Gamble on him. Also we've been linked to Djú, but I've no idea what he costs. Put him in. Daka, 1 year left. Sell if we can bring in those other 2 or players of that ilk. Mav stays. Don't think anyone will come in for him and he's decent enough at the level. If we keep Monga, they can compete for that slot along with Alves. So free keeper for cover, free LB cover, free RW cover, Amass loan, Hackney bought, Kone bought, Djú bought. Sold, JJ, Faes, Souttar*, Thomas, Wilf, Soumare, Daka. VK, Reid, Ayew, Coady, loaned or sold. Forgot about Kasey. Sell, loan, keep, not arsed really.

Who gives a shit? It ain't helping us now...
-
He put one on a plate for Brereton Diaz who managed to miss by a mile when it was easier to score. Other than that though, usual nothing stuff.
-
Well he can't buy a pair of glasses as way of an apology this time.
-
Real shame we're so incredibly shit because that could be a massive blow to them. Unfortunately it won't matter.
-
Having looked on the blades forum about him, someone recently posted that after having his surgery his achilles has snapped again in a slip. "Been told from someone who knows him, he had the operation to repair his Achilles and it’s snapped again, awful for him, long road to recovery" That might explain it if there's truth in it.
-
Don't let that stop people pissing their pants...

Hamza starts. And although not our player, Cannon is back in the squad, on the bench. * Ok, so Hamza played at RB, got himself a pretty early booking and didn't look great. However he was subbed at 2-0 up. They've since conceded. So clean sheet for him at least. Had a look at their fan forum, they really ain't having him. But that's forums for ya.
