Well he was on the bench so their thinking was likely not to risk him unless they needed to for the result. As it was they were 2 down so he came on with half an hour left. Barely got a sniff though really. Mullins was their liveliest player. Trouble is Wycombe played decent stuff at times but were let down by inaccuracy with the final pass or cross. One point they had the perfect chance to play him through into a 1 on 1 but the pass was short and closer to the defender who should have been left for dead. Hard to judge really.

Imagine if they beat us and then had the result overturned for fielding an ineligible player! Would fit the script for Wednesday at the moment.

That's kind of what I mean. They can probably get away with a few of those mistakes down here cos there's very few clinical sides to punish them on the regular.

Ward and Coady will be alright for Wrexham. Championship attacks are far worse than those in the Prem and they'll be able to get away with being shit for a decent chunk of games because they'll be facing shit themselves. If Wrexham really think they're in for another promotion then they're not getting it starting those guys, but a season of mid table consolidation with a renewed push next season then they're enough for now.
