Get Brighton to loan us Buo and Enciso -
Just had a quick scan of transfermarkt and Nelson is now listed as injured. "Unknown Injury/Unknown return date" Which is new...

Is your son a child? Cos kids ones don't have betting sponsors do they?
-
True. Just saying it was evident that he would start with something resembling that side. The only changes were Mads for Jakub and Hamza for JJ.

Bit late in the day, but I forgot to let you in on the reason Ipswich are above Brum. From Chatgpt: Ipswich are above Birmingham because of the EFL’s tie‑break rules — after points, goal difference and goals scored, the next criteria (after wins) is goals scored away from home. Ipswich’s 1–1 at St Andrew’s included an away penalty for Ipswich (George Hirst), so Ipswich have one away goal while Birmingham have none — that puts Ipswich above Birmingham in the early table.

He started the same midfield against Fiorentina and they were fine.

A soon to be 28 year old unproductive right winger. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, no.

Unlike us, Marti hasn't spent a number of years watching him frustrate the living piss out of us. His exposure to Soumare is literally in the weeks, and in that short time he has to run the rule over ALL of our players. And that's a lot. We heard last pre season how good Bouba looked in training. It might take a spell for him to get the bigger picture. Be nice to see Page play against Huddersfield in the role. See how he does.
-
Bye? He's not going anywhere.

Do we need one? Other players are rightly preferred it seems. -

Good move in terms of the size of the club and the level he'd be joining, but he doesn't break into that midfield. £30mill, free loan of Lewis Miley. Osula might be nice but they're not in a position to let him go. -
They've got no chance there. They'll do well just to afford Grealish's wages. That's their budget gone!
-
It would in terms of a singular fee, it wouldn't in terms of cost per season. If we get £10mill for him, that's 10 for effectively 1 season. Double that up and get someone in on a 4-5 year contract and your cost per season for his replacement is 4-5mill per season. And that's forgetting wages.
-
I think this is a key factor. When our seasons have gone to shit there's always been talk of him wanting out. Last season there was an agent fed rumour that he had an agreement with the club that he'll be allowed to leave if we were relegated. It's not something that should get out, true or not. The focus should be on doing what you can to stay up, not on how you'll escape from the sinking ship.
-
We'll be promoted by then though.
-
Which is funny cos he looked proper off it first half. Just shows how good he could be if he has a great game rather than one like today where he wasn't at his best.
-
I think they've seen him play though.
-
Mads is good with his feet and put it out a lot last season. Keepers who are good with their feet don't get much chance to show it when their team is pushed so far back they're down their throats.
-
We're not getting a new LB in. Not a chance.
-
We'd all like better players in, unfortunately this is the situation Cifuentes has to deal with.
-
He's not great, but we shouldn't have him AND Bouba on the pitch at the same time. They offer nothing offensively. Marti clearly wants him there to press, as in preseason, but it's all a bit redundant if he offers nothing when we have the ball, cos we'll have it a lot this season.
-
We will have the lions share of possession in a lot of games but at least 2 of our midfield 3 need to be able to play forward and create. BEK was off it today, so Winks's introduction made a massive difference. Mav was shit today but he's still capable of making things happen, though he'll have to start turning it on before long because managing Mongas minutes will only be a valid excuse for starting him on the bench for so long. Fatawu was excellent throughout, but needs help. A focal point is needed.
-
Post match interview, WInks doesn't look like he wants to be there tbh.
-
Wednesday did well really. Came to go toe to toe until they could get a lead and then tried to sit back and hold onto it. I know some people would prefer to see them keep going but given their fitness should be behind ours, it was probably the right idea.
-
But Wednesday will probably accept the 45p that we've actually got for a transfer.
