  1. Sounds far too exotic for our board. Rudkin would never be able to get his head around around a name like that.
  2. Don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight folks. I'm setting mine at May 26th.
  3. Oh no we don't! (Sorry. It's still pantomime season AT LCFC).
  4. He played quite well last night without looking like scoring. Good movement and always involved. Cannon was a complete passenger and subbed at half time. Selling him for a small profit was good business.
  5. Nailed on to be on the end of a cross.
  6. Nacho and Cannon opposing strikers tonight at Bramall Lane.
  7. Often used in reference to Tottenham Hotspur FC.
  8. Filbert Fox. He'd show some emotion and interact with the fans.
  9. Sounds like they're as much a basket case as we are and if so, I can understand their fans taking a cynical view of the club statement. However, we can all read between the lines and at least they've come out and said something, rather than hide behind a cloak of secrecy. It wouldn't have jeopardised the club in any way to say we weren't bringing anyone in, and would at least have shown a willingness to engage with the fans, as well as putting us all out of our misery!
  10. I don't know what Bristol City fans feel, but to me this is a refreshing piece of transparency from their club which our board would do well to emulate. It would provide clarity and help build bridges with our fan fanbase.
  11. Not having to play Leeds this season or next.
  12. He was excellent for us on the left, but we were looking for someone to play wide right, where he was pretty ineffective and he was never getting in ahead of Harvey Barnes. Hence, I believe why we didn't sign him
  13. Charlie was certainly an entertainer. Chelsea had a good team around that time. They liked a good cup run, but never challenged for the league. They also had a bit of a "showbizzy" reputation ,which had more to do with location than the stadium. It used to amuse that they had the Shed End, a description that could have been applied to most of the ground. With regards to your namesake, he is one of my all time greats as well. (I could never narrow it down to a single player). I remember Gibbo giving up a chance to score to lay on a tap in for Allan Clarke to complete a hat trick in the first15 minutes against reigning champions Manchester City. I don't think anyone thought that night that we'd be relegated by the end of the season
  14. I saw what you did there.
