Hope that things will (eventually) get better

Sorry John. I was quite angry when posting. I accept your valid point. I just feel - that despite our wonderful facilities, the current squad just aren't deserving of them. But like you say, it is an attractive proposition for any future investment. I'm not suggesting for one minute, we should resort to the halcyon days of "murder hills", more that they're just a bunch of pampered brats. I just want effort and commitment. -

He's passionate and spoke from the heart. It's obvious that he loves the club, and it's hurting him to see the capitulation of our club. We need more like Piper, who aren't afraid to voice their real feelings. He said what many of us feel. -

Get back to basics. Offload Seagrave if at all possible. Do away with lengthy contracts, and moving forward, pay players a salary reflective of the league we're playing in - and possibly even lower. Listen - actually LISTEN to the fanbase, not release statements, or interviews that just consist of baffling "word salad " to deflect from our capitulation. Stop the incessant reliance on the club and it's sycophantic yes men, on talking about past glory. Discuss the here and now. We are in deep sh*t. Admit that, and address the issues. -

We really do need - if the option is there, to sign him on a permanent deal. Sadly - he'll no doubt be on the radar of other clubs. We can ill afford another "Lookman moment" He's the kind of player we really should be looking at for our rebuild. Anyone up for a "GOFUNDHIM"? -
Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread

Obviously I didn't enjoy the penalty being awarded, but I felt after that decision- it seemed to turn the game around? Almost gave us the 'fire in our belly"? 🤔 I wish that Faes - rather than remonstrating with officials after the game, he'd of just gone over with the rest of the squad to applaud the travelling fans. Just have the focus on the result - rather than one incident. He's not really a team player - is he? 🤔 -

Wilfred Ndidi Joins Beşiktaş On Permanent Deal

Daniel Craig must be shi**ing his pants. 'My name is Bond. Wilfred Bondidi'. -
I called him Brussell Fartin' once, and for me, the name has stuck. Much like a fart. May linger too long, leave a bad smell and full of hot air. It's a "Meh" from me.

I agree. To be honest, the way the clubs been heading, I thought maybe his presentation gifts would consist of a £50 one-for-all voucher, a grab bag of skittles, litre bottle of Asda Smart price vodka and a 4pk of Red bull.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Afraid of Chives replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
I haven't listened to the most recent episode yet, but have to add that it's the only leicester city one worth listening to. My OH always knows when I am, as I sit - headphones on, agreeing out loud. My "Hmms", punctuated with "Damn fu*king right lads" at various intervals. He'll say "Are you listening to your podcast again love"? One of my favourites of recent times was the one where Ric was a "tad hungover ", with the occasional audible burp. I laughed out loud(sorry, not sorry). It's always refreshing to hear passion and honest opinion, so cheers from me. And thanks again for allowing Michael Bolton to now live rent-free in my head. 😁👏👏 -

I would opt for the inevitable now. If, and it's a big IF we did stay up, The board would see it as a victory and 2 fingers up to the fans. They'd put a positive PR spin on it and most likely feel all the awful transfers and other decisions were justified, as they were instrumental in keeping us up. I want relegation as I wasn't looking forward to the current season one bit, knowing we absolutely didn't have the depth, or talent capable of keeping us up. I would rather take relegation, hopefully a complete reset and a chance for a future, as I hate the present.

Players not coming over to the fans
Afraid of Chives replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Aside from the very obvious problems that are inherent within the club, one of the most telling things for me is the lack of leadership upon the pitch. I feel since the departure of Kasper, we lack a figurehead and without that, we just seem like 11 individuals playing with no cohesion, rather than 1 collective, playing in unison. I want them to show passion, and a determination to win games, but when you see players openly turning on one another on the pitch or through the medium of social media, that to me shows the Manager hasn't necessarily lost the respect in the dressing room, but the players have lost the respect of one another. I want my beloved team to put on the club shirt and put on a display worthy of that honour. Also it's galling when we can have either a good 1st half display, then play like Dog eggs in the 2nd half, or vice/versa. If we have it in us to play well in parts, why can't we bloody maintain that momentum? There's no consistency. -

While I've been browsing this thread, an advert banner came up for an "Adopt a Donkey" one. I considered emailing the club to say I can't possibly take all 11... -
Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
Afraid of Chives replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
I visited the Fanstore after work this afternoon. I didn't see any activity, other than a DPD van, so if he was in the back, maybe they'll do away with a press conference, and announce his appointment by throwing him over a wall into a neighbouring property 🤣 -

Sorry, I read that as "Needs sacking in January ". I was thinking "bloody hell! Give him a chance!" -
Come on admit it. Who wouldn't love to see the Primark Elvis sign from Fulchester Utd FC? 😉
