  1. Government may see the potential for (tax) money being taken away from them somehow, if so it’s unlikely to happen for English clubs. They might let Celtic and Rangers go though 😉
  2. *college football 😉
  3. Exactly but very hard to guess the mindset after all the comments about only being in second gear so far this season and then leaving early with a 4-0 lead. Is there a 2 for 1 before 5pm offer somewhere that I don’t know about. I gave myself an hour to get the train to Nottingham after the match for a gig. Most people near me moved off after the final whistle. Long ball Larry and hoof it Henry had already left before the final whistle after their conversation between rows. Did managed to get hoof it Henry to clap in time with a couple of songs for a bit.
  4. Netflix and chilling in the spare room for a couple of nights…
  5. Capitalism in a nutshell. See also buying players and not selling them (see also Bosman ruling)
  6. Dude, one of the best things of TV coverage of leicester city away matches is the supporters staying after the final whistle to cheer the team 😀 4-0 up and not wanting to cheer your team afterwards? Watch it on TV maybe?
  7. So, is this a case of “even Daka scored” or “Daka must start every game”?
  8. To my side and behind me at the match, they both left early…
  9. I'm very slowly (I have 2 ATM) hoovering up library cards for the Libby app to listen to audio books while I drive around the country for work. I was asked what my connection with the county was and work was good enough, so I'm free to support almost any team, ner ner ner ner....
  10. I b I believe sports clubs should have a good connection with their local area and community. It should be ok to support a team that's not local but plays a style of football you like. Think Nick Hornby Fever Pitch if you want an example of freely chosen support migration. But going to a local teams match as well, should always be a good option, especially if you can add to the atmosphere in some way and get all excited and that. Not quoted it for a while but an ex's sisters boyfriend (yes, tenuous), visited her and was at loose end, massive leads supporter but went to watch Cambridge who were having a dire season but they won 5-0. I also regret not seeing an ice hockey match when I was in Finland, regardless of the team. Be good to one another
  11. Feks sake, I just buckled and bought membership and a ticket lol.
  12. I just rang the ticket line and you have to be a member (£32).
  13. Sorry, bit rushed this morning. It’s technically members only or something and never general sale online for some matches, even on the day. Confused me a lot but I cheekily rang the ticket line for a similar match a while ago and was able to get a ticket. Just annoying if you can’t see the seating plan when you ring up.
  14. Ring the ticket line.
  15. I'm no expert, but..... I thought the tactic was to drag players put of position by playing the ball in and out at the back, with the goalkeeper included in this, but if there are several opposition players marking a couple of Leicester defenders then surely that job has been done. No need then for the goalkeeper to pass short and there should be the space further up the pitch that the tactic was looking to create?
  16. I felt a while ago that if football is better than American football it should have rolling substitutes and injury replacements whilst the game is in play, so 45 minutes of ball in play with “no” stoppages. VAR could add to that madness by letting the play carry on and VAR decisions realised during play, goals could disappear or reappear on the scoreboard, players who are deemed to have committed a red card offence having to leave the field when it is confirmed, accumulate all penalties to be taken at the end of the match so VAR can deliberate them without delaying the game. Might need to rename the game from football though.
  17. Is he overrated by the Senegalese fans as well?
  18. At this point, I reckon this is a far bigger game for Leeds than it is for us. Lose and we could muddle through to 2nd somehow or other if we had a loss of form (even though the most common comment is that we have never actually been in form, just second gear). Leeds could potentially lose quite a few places in the league after this game. Obviously I’d prefer to win this game and continue a fantastic run. Also, I’ve found some Leeds fans to be insufferable, so them losing always makes me smile 😃
  19. If it’s 6 more games before the reset, then what is the benefit of being worried or resting playing for that reason. It will either happen or not happen. If a player is rested because of fears of a suspension, then that is just a self inflicted suspension.
  20. My first match at the stadium this season. Great game. Can confirm the ref is indeed from Ipswich.
