Spurs 1 - 2 LCFC (A) Full Time Thread

Given the previous goal fests, I reckon the bookies probably made a bit of dough with people adding 4+ goals for spurs vs leicester on an accumulator bet. -

I agree with this and it proper winds me when managers (specifically international level), ignore in form players and go for there out of form favourites -

What’s more amazing, this great result? Or the fighting cocks forum not going down during the match? -

Well played lads. Good result. -
I’d love to see the stat for the team that dealt the most manager their final blow.

20-25 based on form and Vardy getting injured before he gets a run of form again. Could all change and it clicks but some of these players were in the team at the back end of last season when we had a bad run of form against championships sides. It feels like we've had a run of luck with having games against half decent teams with their own bad form, but not taken our chances. Will signings in the transfer window change that? We've not exactly set the world alight with our recent January windows, so unfortunately probably not....

Nah guys, it was Tom Cannon trying to get some premier league minutes in before he heads off with his goal scoring boots.

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
tinpot_fox replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
Vardy finding his feet in the second half of the season helped us stay up in 14/15. maybe Vardy finding his feet again in the second half of the season will help us stay up again. -
Foxes talk has weird memory, excuses Bounanotte doing little in more games than he does a lot. Wasting position with attempts at positive movement etc. Soumare pulls his sh£t together for quite a few games and then has bad game, suddenly 🐕💩 If both of those players could each have a good enough game every 4 games to win that game, then we wouldn’t be in the relegation zone. At this point we need a good run of wins and that includes games we’re not expected to win. Depressing stuff unfortunately

This may be the Winks thread, but I think most fans would goes teary eyed over Ndidi’s finishing compared to other players in recent games.

A QPR supporting taxi driver in London just refused to let me turn, twice, so I for one, am doubly glad of the result.

If camping/Motorhome and cycling is your thing, then the Holme Pierpont camp site has a pretty good protected cycleway to Nottingham city centre.

I was impressed when I saw some guy with a massive back pack do Braunstone park run.

Like others have said, they haven’t had an actual decent result against a team that are being expected to finish in the champions league places. They’ve beaten Aston Villa, who even plucky little leicester had a decent shot at beating. If they finish in a decent spot, or even win the league, it will be because of the results in the second half of the season, not by hanging onto the results from the first half of the season.

Hats off to the board and lawyers, we didn’t even have to win a presidential election to get away with it. -

Can you source some Premier League piñatas? -
Back to the wall lads, Tinpot’s here….

At the time we had a team with quite a few players you fancied could score from outside the box if given the chance. Barnes was one the potentially dangerous players we had, that made you believe we could always find a way back into a game.

How do you define a club legend?
tinpot_fox replied to Torquay Gunner's topic in Leicester City Forum
For and against… I have a memory of hearing Iwan Roberts scoring with a different body part every time I listened to the match commentary, so that’s what I associated with Leicester City. So to me Iwan is a legend just for that. Legend has it he bankrupted the club Huth being to put the ball into row Z on either wing, whether from a clearance or a free kick. Vardy’s statue will be a row of wacky waving inflatable tube men that pop up waving in a wacky manner in front of the away supporters every time Leicester score. murals of legendary players on the walls past the turnstiles with walk of fame style star and their brief history nearby could help keep the older legends alive. -
I believe the club was recruiting players for their playing profiles, so it makes sense that they complimented each other.

Unfortunately for some peoples opinions, Youri Tielemans will always be viewed as a club legend for the FA cup final goal. The Perez assist, Schmeichel saves and Iheanacho overall FA goal scoring could be argued to also but the goal will always be on the highlight reel and his name will always be the only one under either team name on the score line. so a single moment can also make a player legendary.
