IF the intention of those at the top of the club was gun for promotion, then to me the economics of paying him a decent amount would have almost been a guarantee for a return in goals that could have pushed over the line to promotion and a higher return in premier league money for the club, than what he would have been paid. Yes he would have been putting his body on the line and inevitably been out with injury. the other option was the strikers we already had, who didn’t have a great goal rate or sign a striker who will get goals. Mukasa started well, james got injured and was a weird choice if he was meant to replace Vardy but did get goals. feels almost like we deliberately didn’t want to score goals this season… our recruitment is slicer the place

There was always more chance of him scoring the most of our players, so yes we should have offered Vardy good compensation for staying another season. Kasper would have been amazing too, but probably too expensive and he has his critics about this seasons performances, even on FoxesTalk

The only manager out of the last few we’ve sacked, including Rodger’s, that I believe could have got more points than his successor, is Copper. Not because I think he’s a managerial genius, but because we seemed to be threatening to shithouse a goal in we don’t deserve somehow before the end of the match. I don’t think the others would have stymied the decline that was happening under their watch. It does feel like Ruud was a bit of a victim though and he was visibly trying to fight the shackles above and around him for a while. I don’t think Brendon or Marti would have kept us up. we’ll probably end up with manager trying some kind of showboating passing style again next. Ugh.

What players will be here next season in Div 1

Oh, does that mean he will be cup tied? That’s a shame for us! -
Part of the Frank Sinclair fee was for the own goal he scored against us before he signed 😉

This makes me sad because it could be very true. Some (definitely not all), of the youngsters we’ve played this season have shown a bit of fight but I’m sure if we looked at their actual stats they wouldn’t be anything special to convince a big club to swoop in. -
How many points from the last 3 games?

Our keeper finally lumbers up for a corner a scores with our last kick of the championship this decade, with such a good finish that everyone looks at him wondering why we didn’t play him upfront all season -

I was trying to force some kind of definitive answer to stop the arguing last but then I realised I didn’t care that much. Turned my phone on this morning and the post was there half ready, so I posted it anyway. I think zero. I doubt I’ll listen or watch the remaining matches. I was hoping to be proved wrong about there being no fight. But there is no fight in these players -

Realistically we probably won’t have offers from English clubs for many of our players, the academy players who didn’t get many minutes should be looking for a move somewhere for the good of their own career. I can see us offering unpopular players extensions. If Ricardo needs the money he’ll probably stay despite I believe him being homesick. Vesty will probably captain the side in a quarter full stadium, clapped off every home match with Aluko on the bench questioning his life choices. -
How many unlikely and undeserved points will we get from the last 3 games of this season, before inevitable relegation…

We start off with high hopes, then we bottle it. We realise that we’re all going to die, without really finding out the big answers. We develop all those long-winded ideas which just interpret the reality of our lives in different ways, without really extending our body of worthwhile knowledge, about the big things, the real things. Basically, we live a short disappointing life; and then we die. We fill up our lives with shite, things like careers and supporting Leicester City to delude ourselves that it isn’t all totally pointless. credit to Irvine Welsh

Choose Leicester. Choose an overpriced top. Choose it over your career. Choose a happy clappy family. Choose a ****ing 12:30 kick off for television. Choose watching back passing machines, coach one , compact dogshite players and electrical tinpot duty free floggers... Choose PSR and wondering who the **** you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit crushing game performances, stucking concourse food into your mouth. Choose rotting in the away end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home end, watching nothing more than an embarrassment of selfish, entitled brats you signed to replace Vardy and the rest, choose your future. Choose leicester... But why would I want to do a thing like that?

Pompey 1-0 LCFC, post-match thread

I disagree, it all comes down to Sheffield United vs Blackburn. Oxford have lost form but need to win all remaining matches to have a chance of staying up. we won’t win our last three matches though, but we could stay up if we do. -

Yeah, I believe we go to 50 points IF we win our 3 remaining games. Our goal difference should then be enough to be ahead of all them if we are level. I think our only chance of staying up is to win all 3 games with Blackburn losing there other match to Sheffield united and Oxford losing at least 1 of there remaining games. so there is a conceivable route to safety as Blackburn and Oxford may drop points but the least conceivable part is that we win our last 3 matches. -

Bring back Leicester United!! Or Leicester Fosse!! No need for any mention of the organisation that shall not be mentioned! I’ve not listened for a while, I did watch the post match for Swansea and they quite critical of the players, mainly for not making the goal stopping professional foul. Blue tinted glasses on YouTube was quite passionate post Swansea too. -

I went to Grimsby once and looked for a decent fish and chip shop, I gave up as I couldn’t find any in the grim part I was in. -

Nothing makes the players reach into their very soul and play with that bit more effort to nick an undeserved result, than someone flying in from another country to watch and then leaving before the end of the match… -

Oh, are you suggesting selling those players so they can enjoy a more positive environment somewhere else and put away their own plates when they’ve finished eating?
