  1. A shame that up and coming players weren’t involved yesterday, but maybe RVN see premier league performances as more important after the run of recent loses. Could be that he wanted to try out slightly new systems on the pitch with the first team or reinforce what he’s already been working on with the players that are more likely to be play a part in premier league games. Unfortunately that meant Alves wasn’t in the squad for the FA cup as you would normally expect, 100% means he needs to be on loan and get competitive minutes on the pitch unless injured.
  2. I thought the commentator said Ndidi earlier.
  3. To be fair Winks was covering the flank
  4. The bookies are not seeing a home win for us against a championship side today.
  5. I’m of the leaning that a football match should exist in a bubble and you enjoy things for they are. Chanting and having a good time, a buzzing atmosphere that leaks onto the pitch. These things can make players perform better and also make it a good time for supporters. But also how then do you let players/managers know that actually they are but shit and there better players on the bench If the whole ground was chanting something amusing then it might pick up the atmosphere and the players performance. I remember a Leicester game (Chelsea in the cup last season?), where a Chelsea player messed up and the crowd booed him so much we got back into the game when Chelsea should have been comfortable. It is hard to for a crowd to create good atmosphere but also show there disapproval in such a way that anything changes. Obligatory mention of Frank Sinclair. You’d think he’d be aware of the supporter - player relationship, having been a player for so long. Yes, but I’d wager there are better paid goalkeeper coaches in the world Yes, but the financial damage was probably done with the contract he signed when he joined the club. I don’t want to besmirch people earning a decent wage but what I’m led to believe is he was offered a very good deal for being reserve keeper. As he was a reserve keeper we could have possibly got home for a better deal and then moved him on for a bit of a profit after he started performing well in cup games. We are not one of the Manchester Uniteds of this world who can afford to have expensive players on inflated wages fighting each other for places …. Oh wait, that worked out well for Manchester United this season didn’t it. I agree and this can never be said enough. Although there were bizarrely plenty of others factors on the pitch that could have save us if changed (penalty misses for example), so we could have potentially stayed up despite giving teams a few goals every game. I completely agree that booing is a double edged sword. I’m no psychologist but players can definitely be motivated by the opposition booing them. Not sure I’d perform better if my own fans booed me every time I got the ball. I agree that having a louder positive atmosphere could be good for a losing home teams performance. It could also make losing a game an actually enjoyable experience. A players or manager making the same mistake is a frustrating experience though (late subs FFS). I agree, not that I dislike Ward as a person or disagree that he got a deal here but after being played so many times when he’s played badly in the past, it’s evident that his confidence won’t improve by continually playing him when he isn’t doing well. I think chants can be great and good for morale, but home fans booing whenever a certain home player gets the ball is a rut that doesn’t improve things. Jakub makes mistakes and will make more mistakes but he’s our keeper, so I hope he doesn’t get booed into oblivion in the future.
  6. I noticed a latest news story on sky sports news when I was the gym, it had RVN speaking (in Leicester gear, phew) but the sound was off so I have no idea what they saying. Anyone know what it was about?
  7. Romeo: What light through yonder transfer window opens. Richard Masters: LEICESTER ARE AT RISK OF A POINTS DEDUCTION!!!! Good job he set an alarm to get the hit piece in on time.
  8. I think the Man City home match went to general sale with tickets available on the day, which probably speaks more about decking ticket sales overall than any decision by the club
  9. A player who feels he has potential but wants to be a regular starter, developing skills, gaining experience and (fortunately and unfortunately) putting themselves in the shop window for a big money move to club playing regular champions league football. There will be hits and misses, fan favourites will have to leave, but if the overall result is that we stay up and the books move towards the profitable end of the scale, then let it happen and enjoy the ride. edited to add: hopefully RVN as manager will be appealing to some decent up and coming players.
  10. I’ll be doing everything I can to encourage us to score and win, including not making a match thread again (we’re 0-2 when I start them, 1-6 on goals).
  11. If we can take our chances we can win this one, and we need to be getting unlikely points if we are to stay in this league. Positivity is the way. Vardy is due a brace if he plays and Choudhury seems able to ping some crosses into the box if he plays down the wing. 2-4 Leicester win and I’m working with a Villa fan on Monday.
  12. Conor Coady 5.7 - the amount of metres he played Haaland onside for 2nd goal.
  13. I think it’s on general sale…
  14. Have at em
  15. A knock apparently
  16. My drunken half thought out thought was that he would be in the match day squad more if he could do that job, while also trying not to sound to critical as I like the chap. You may not always be in the match day squad but you’ll always be in our hearts for that comment @Lako42 lol.
  17. Yup, we do seem to have lapses of concentration even when playing well, so he will likely have opportunities. Our midfield enforcer (Choudury), unfortunately doesn’t seem able to mark players out of the game.
  18. I’m pretty sure we’ll go for it from the off and Man City should know this. The big question is if they can deal with it and if we can have an influence on the game after that. One of Liverpools goals came from break after 4(?) leicester players closed down Liverpool in their own corner but came away with a quick goal kick, leaving us exposed. Buonanotte seems tired and The Elk looks to be having his fitness managed, I’m hope they can both have good games tomorrow, whether they play 90 minutes or not.
  19. How did Souttar fit into this when we bought him?
  20. Usual if you’re looking over a season or a good few games as a whole.
  21. If Salah plays he’ll be hopeful of beating both the RVN and Vardy consecutive goals record, but in one match.
  22. All the half time entertainment has been relocated round the corner at Letsby Avenue Tho Thorry!
  23. Fixed, as you’ve paid your dues.
  24. The one that was on the bench?
  25. Kristiansen, Souttar and Tetê joined in Jan 2023 of you want an example of player quality. A guy named George Hirst came back off loan too, not sure what happened to him though….
