Yes agree, but I don't believe our signings are totally on the DOF and the manager has had a huge say. We've definitely signed some dross but we've also done well with Fatawu, Mavididi, El Khannous and Okoli will probably be a decent signing. Having said that the transfer policy is a mess and the signings are definitely based on the managers needs and not on any long term strategy of the club IMO. Cooper wanted PL experience and I believe Ayew, BDR, Skipp are all on him. The biggest achillles heel in the club is the DOF role and not having a long term strategy regarding transfers and managers. We seam to have a defined playing style but we're too willing to deviate from this with our managerial appointments.

Apart from they've never won the league, FA Cup or finished 5th. Our board have made mistakes but ultimately they have been trying to deal with the financial hole of Brendan Rodgers failing to deliver champions league football twice. I'd much rather have our recent history than Brentford, even if we spend a prolonged period in the championship. PSR and VAR have ruined football in the Premier league.

Nah, don't think he would even get 11 goals, he isn't mentally strong enough to be the main man. Agree Ayew isn't a 9, but if we're not selling him I would rather him play down the middle than take minutes from Monga, Alves, Mavididi, Fatawu or any other wide forward.

A season in the Premier League is bleak, but even the current squad without reinforcement in the Championship we have every reason to be positive. We have fantastic depth on the wings and 10 with Mavididi, Bilal, Fatawu, Monga, Alves, Mcateer, Nelson and Okoli will be among the best CB pairing in the league, fullbacks and midfield are. Also strong in the championship. Strikers are our weakest area but love him or hate him Ayew will do a good job in the Championship as a 9. The unknown, is which players we lose and if we receive an embargo or points deduction but I'm still very positive.

Nelson, Monga and Alves are ready. Aluko could feature in the squad but the others aren't ready. We're not going to fill the first team full of 16 year olds.

Since when have posts on here been an official source of communication from the club? Media oulets are just full of speculation. I've not seen any official communication on the club website explaining the above, we're in limbo.
