I don’t think they’ve ever played a cup game at King Power. I asked someone connected to the team and was told ‘they (the board) just don’t seem to want to host cup games’. Going to be midweek rearrangement now I guess.

They did some recordings of full games in the 89/90 season as I had one of us beating Leeds 4-3. To my knowledge that was the first and only season they then hired Visionsport to do the end of season review videos from 90/91 onwards.

Pitch inspection 3.30 on Saturday for the game at Meadow Lane on Sunday. Thought Notts County had a new pitch and undersoil heating so is this a case of LCFC being too tight to foot the bill to pay for the heating?!

We seem to get a rough deal when we play Athletico Madrid. I went over for the first leg in the 90s and Juninho was diving around all over the place, their penalty was as soft as shite. The 2nd leg where Remi Harrell? ( I think that was the name of the corrupt ref) sent Parker off but let Kiko get away with elbows all night was just unbelievable, I remember O’Neill was absolutely livid afterwards. We had 3 nailed on penalties turned down and they kicked lumps out of Muzzy Izzet and went unpunished. We also had a poor ref in the Champions league away leg more recently. A very good 2nd place behind Mike Reid goes to Remi Harrell, and if you are reading this Remi, you, are an absolute pillock!

The penalty that Speedie got for Blackburn was as soft as they come in the 92 play off final. But Mike Reid giving Chelsea a penalty for Erland Johnson’s dive was the worst, I was there that night and was so incensed I got very close to grabbing Franck Lebouef at the end when he squirted the contents of his Lucozade bottle over a few of us and the stewards holding us back. B**tard! Rumour has it a few Leicester fans went for Reid in his car on the Kings Road about an hour after the game!

Sounds terrible pal. I’ve not been to a home game since the Napoli, Warsaw and Moscow fixtures, I’m sure you remember those fixtures saw a fair bit of crowd trouble but it wasn’t that trouble that keeps me away. I’ve sat in all parts of the stadium and everywhere is just so flat, I likened it to the cinema, hardly anyone in their seats until 10 minutes before the performance, and if anyone speaks negatively or swears you are met with a frown or a steward. The atmosphere is about as fake as it can get, the club have turned away large numbers by cutting off general sale for big games or leaving us with the odd seat here and there for lesser teams. The atmosphere is declining everywhere it seems, but if you are getting done for swearing, why is that different to being in a pub?! At Filbert St you wouldn’t take your kids in Pen 3 or 2 when it was open but the kop now is basically a replica of the family stand by the sounds of it and L1 sounds tame to what it was 10 years ago.
